Romney’s Former Adviser Advocated Compulsory Sterilizations

Romney and Holdren

John Holdren now works for Barack Obama as his Science Czar, of course, but just a few years ago, in 2005, he was one of Mitt Romney’s advisers on the issue of carbon dioxide regulation.  This is part of the entire range of global warming hoax science, but what is stunning is that John Holdren could have been a Romney adviser at all.  Holdren is now Barack Obama’s Science Czar, but throughout his career in academia, he has been a raging leftist ideologue who ceaselessly advocated bizarre and tyrannical ideas, including the notion of involuntary birth/fertility control, and forced sterilization of women in order to control population growth.  To find that he had been working for a time as an adviser to Mitt Romney raises further troubling questions about Romney’s judgment, and his claims to be a conservative.

For his part, Holdren denies being an advocate of these positions, but he co-authored a book in which these tyrannical ideas for the sake of population control were advanced. In the end, Romney enacted vast and radical new strict emissions regulation schemes in his state of Massachusetts on the advice of this hard-left activist.

Holdren is an infamous leftist ideologue, and his work in the realm of environmental advocacy is well-known.  He is a part of that community of flaky scientists that includes many who can’t wait to control all human activity, even by compulsory means. In 1978, he co-authored a book with famed population scare-mongers and radical environmental activists Paul and Anne Ehrlich, titled Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment. (The links above on fertility control and forced sterilization come from this book.) Paul Ehrlich, you may remember, is the author of the infamously wrong-headed, 1971 Population Bomb. Holdren was a losing party in the famous Ehrlich-Simon Wager, and has been a mover and shaker in the extreme left’s environmental agenda. He also served as a science adviser to Bill Clinton from 1994-2001.

My question remains over why Mitt Romney would use this man as an adviser.  This is the troubling part about Romney’s latter-day reversals on a range of issues.  Until he began running for president, Romney was a very liberal politician, and for him to claim now to be a conservative seems generally dishonest. That he appointed Holdren as one of his advisers on environmental policy during his term as governor really calls into question the entire proposition that Romney had been anything but a liberal.  How is Romney going to differentiate between himself and Obama in a general election campaign?  He certainly can’t criticize Obama’s Science Czar, can he?  This is likely the reason Obama’s campaign can’t wait to face a Romney candidacy:  They know everything about him, and will be able to make mince-meat of him because one of their own was an insider in Romney’s camp.  I have argued that Romney is effectively neutered against Obama.  Now you can see why.

Mark, thank you, for exposing Mitt Romney, it has been a tedious fight day after day trying to get the word out, revealing this fraud, I can only hope that people will see and understand that a vote for Romney is a vote for Obama in my opinion, Romney has such poor judgement I can only see our country continuing down the wrong path with a Romney administration, it would be naive to think Mitt's choice's have been accidental but just the opposite, his adjenda's are right on track with obama.

Romney doesn't have poor judgement. He is an elitist, and a control freak just like every other elitist, who believe that we regular people can not think nor do for ourselves. Just like Dr. Lyle H. Rossiter, Jr., Phd. in Psychiatry says, these people are nuts, and confirms it with years of research in his book, "The Liberal Mind: The Psychological Causes of Political Madness".
Romney is bad news no matter how you want to cut it.

Dear Mark, I am well read on the hoax of Global Warming, and I know a bit about Holdren. As you say the very fact that Romney should select him to his environmental staff in 2005 speaks volumes about Romney, who I would not trust as far as I could throw him, and I am pretty strong, but he is a pretty big man. In any case, is he the lesser of 2 evils when compared with Obama – debatable. Obama is fairly open. Romney is the wolf in sheep's clothing. Takes quite a few sheep to shear to cover him, and he hasn't done a very good job hiding his true persona. Just like Obama, Romney has been groomed for the Presidency also. The elitists don't play to lose. They like all their bets covered on both sides of the political spectrum. They have a problem though – a major one. There is One who sits upon His throne high in the heavenlies, and He is marking time for them, and their time is rapidly running out. Thank God for that.

As usual – an inspirational commentary:

I just had to comment, however, that you failed to put enough emphasis on the 'Down the ticket' part…

personally I could care less if Mitt wins, IF Mitt is the nominee – but I am not telling any Republicans or Independents not to Vote for him if he is
the nominee. The right thinking and angry can not treat this as a mid-term election, too many will just not vote!

One Caucus/ and not even a real primary – and you throw in a towel…
there are rounds left to fight.

True that Republicans can throw this away again[ because the head of the ticket is unappealing] but also true that Obama still has 2/3 of government in his hand.

If we can't unelect him, we can impeach him…need 60percent.

We cant stop fighting untill we at least black his eye, we shouldnt stop
following the Right to Vote path untill all avenues are expended.

We need to stop looking at this as lessor or two evils, and start voting as conservative as possible at all levels, including the top.

IF conservatives get out an vote in the primaries, Mitt doesnt stand a chance in hell – He hasnt won it yet, and I am betting this one of those rare elections that money just cant buy.

    Fight ON
