Flash: Todd Palin Endorses Newt Gingrich(Updated)

Todd Palin

ABCNews is reporting that Todd Palin is endorsing Newt Gingrich in the primary for the GOP nomination. Coming ahead of Tuesday’s New Hampshire primary, this may provide something of a boost to Gingrich, because many Palin supporters have been holding off to see how the former Alaska Governor and 2008 Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin would endorse.  That still hasn’t been answered, but the fact that Todd Palin is endorsing Gingrich will be seen by many so-called “Palinistas” as a tip to who Sarah Palin may herself endorse.

Update:  Todd Palin is scheduled to be On The Record with Greta Van Susteren tonight, 10pm Eastern

  1. I'd like to see a transcript of the full interview before I believe this. I think abc might just be taking kind words about Newt from Todd has an endorsement.

  2. This is not passing the smell test…is this the same ABC zombie network that asked the most stupid-a$$ questions in the Saturday-night debate ???? I can not see Todd getting in front of any mik or camera without Sarah…but that's just me…I said this a while back on someone else's blog…why was or still is Newt's photo's and info on one of Sarah Palins blog ??? When I hear it from Sarah that Todd said this and Todd said that…that's what I will believe…END OF STORY

      1. Mark, would ABC actually stand to lose anything? Does NBC or CBS or most especially MSNBC "LOSE" anything when they perpetuate lies, half truths and ridiculous hypothetical rhetoric? I respect you, but I think you're overly optimistic if you think the main stream news media is truly held accountable for their propaganda.

        1. Hue, That would result in something of a scandal, I believe. I could be wrong, but it would surely damage their brand with some people. (More than it may already be damaged.)

  3. Frankly, I find it hard to believe that anyone with conservative ideals would endorse Newt Gingrich.

    But that's just me…

  4. As an undecided voter, who supported Romney last time around, I've been listening, reading, watching, and balancing, without getting behind any one candidate. Like many, I wish we could have a composite of the field…but we can't. None of them (nor any of us) is a perfect human being. I will vote for whomever the candidate is.

From what I have seen and heard, ignoring bias and non-essentials, but focusing on issues, strengths, and leadership, I am not surprised that Todd Palin would endorse Newt.

  5. Sarah, can't and won't come out individually bc their bread and butter comes from Fox News. I had always believed that. Even Rush agrees with that thought. Also, Todd coming out to endorse is a way of telling us that this is an agreement between them. Todd would have NEVER come out and endorse without Sarah's COMPLETE APPROVAL. This is a PROXY endorsement and who better than her husband. NEWT/Palin 2012!

  6. I agree with others here that this doesn't sound like the Todd Palin that I thought I knew. It was one thing for Sarah to say positive things about Newt's debate skills, but I cannot believe that Todd would support a big-government type for President. I thought Todd was on the edge of libertarian as far as small-government goes.
