    • MarkAmerica says:

I agree Tom. We're in deep, deep trouble. If we don't come to grips with the nature of our challenges, we're going to implode. At present, we have a President who doesn't want to fix the problems, and we have an intransigent Senate committed, on principle, to pretending our problems aren't real. In the House, we have wobbly, lukewarm leadership. I think if we don't reverse course this next election, there will not be an America as we have known it.

..one can only hope that Sarah has searched her heart and soul as to whether to jump into the fray… she does have an advantage over the other hopefuls.. she has weathered the liberal storm and stands alone as America's shining star! … Anyone who dares defy Obama.. and his liberal media machine will endure the wrath of the morons on the left.. Sarah is a testament to that already. "We The People" .. are behind her ALL the way! .. she will need our support like never before as she endures the ignorant, hateful buffoons in the democrat party. She has the heart.. the soul.. the intelligence ,.. and most of all … the wherewithall to take us back to the greatness this country has always been!!!

Extraordinary blog, Mark. I think you and I agree on everything.
Yes, our country is in deep trouble–that is an understatement.
I feel like we're tied to the train tracks and we can hear the train coming.
I believe we are out of votes for the lesser of two evils.
We're fresh out of second chances.

Thanks for doing your part in informing people.

    • MarkAmerica says:

Thank you Sue! I understand the feeling of despair, as I sometimes feel it too, but then I remember: We're Americans! We aren't required to accept this.

      Thanks for surfing in! Mark

I believe you are spot on. However, what if Palin does not run? There are few alternative canidates who have announced that have the backbone to do what needs to be done.

    Mark,

I discovered you little place on the web a week or so ago; sure glad I did!!!!
I enjoy reading your views on the upside-down, inside-out country we live in today!!
Keep it up, and I'll keep following along!!

    Peace, Joe

  8. Mark,

I already commented on one of your posts and told you how much I love your blog. I read and follow many blogs (and write one myself, though not very often right now) and yours is many cuts above the rest. Your writing style is just to my personal taste; clear, articulate, and with an energy and emotion that touches my heart.

I agree with you about SP. I have thought since 2008 that she will run for the opportunity to help lead her (and our) beloved country back to safety. I believe she is running as we speak, and has been for months.

Lately, she seems to have a quiet certainty about her, as if she knows something 'they' don't know. Which of course, she does.

I'm adding your blog to my blogroll, and will be back often. Thanks for all you're doing, and it's great to 'meet' you.

Dear Mark: Key Scripture, quoted to me last night from a black Pastor friend of mine, who had voted for Obama in 08, but hopefully not in 12.
"If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will hear their land. II Chron. 7:14. Many are praying and putting feet to what needs to be done. Profoundly needs to be bathed in prayer and empowered by God. We still can and must have the victory for ourselves, our families and our posterity.
Like your confidence in Sarah. She is quite a lady and a stateswoman, something we lack immensely on the political front.
Came across you from theblaze. Appreciate your heart and thoughts. If there is anything that I can do, please let me know.

Glad to see you're still engaged Mark, Howy'a been?

  13. Dennis McKeon says:

We're good, Mark. I'd love to see Sarah pull it off.

  14. Dennis McKeon says:

Mark, please write and tell me what you've been up to all these years.

  15. The first thing that alarmed me about Gov. Perry was the pesky rumor originators pushing a false story on Twitter that Gov. Palin had secretly decided not to run and had endorsed Perry.

I know Texas politics can be very sleazy, having lived there for a time, but how different is this propaganda than the goon like behavior of Obama fanatics pre-2008 election?

  16. bob says:

I believe that you see this picture very clear, there will be a well financed and vicious effort by the Obama shills to destroy the Republican presidential candidates, that is pure and simple politics deeply imbedded in the Obama plan to remain a dictator. Please continue to call the bums as you see it.

A SYMPOSIUM ON BARRISTERS AND LAW

NO DECENT BUZZARD WILL CONSUME A DEAD LAWYER
Quiet a post on how not to become a lunatic. One uppermost
consideration in sustaining a normal disposition, is to stay away from
lawyers, and any atmospheric condition that smells of these legal body
snatchers. Collectively, this profession is a class mental disorder,
housed within the bodies of the living dead. Their prolonged disposition
is to attach individual desires, in procreating, transposing, nature
into a look-a-like corpses, hustling along with valises, filled with
torts that guarantee outright robbery of helpless souls. Socrates, 382
BC, denounced these vipers as plagues of society and a laughing stock of
      hustlers.
The late, Clarence Darrow, internationally known criminal trial
lawyer, noted: ” ” ” Never trust a lawyer “. The most upper thought of
these body snatchers is to never give a sucker an even break, nor a
      chump another chance, nor respect.
One must inquire as to the relationship, and this class of
professional liars have in common with protecting mother nature as to
bathing. In general, too, is to consider the odor of the walking dead
and the bacteria of soiled clothing and sagging skin. An old maxim,: The
dead know nothing, is contrary to reasonable attention. A soul dead in
heart and consciousness is a walking zombie. Observe many of these
creatures slurking from bar to bar, thirsting for alcohol or Bay Rum and
stealing tips from waitresses. The above average shyster to become
bench warmers, eventually to become judges, are known as a quart-a-day
shysters. The only contribution to the living is continual hell from
      some slurping ambulance chaser.
For sure, these legalized bandits of various pseudo intellectual out
houses, hounds, collectively, would marry the devil, for a chance to
make a quick buck. There is question as to whether this class of
scoundrels even have a soul. One thing for sure, the above average
barrister in this field of legalized cheating and swindling have no
conscious. The late Napoleon upon the throne of France openly noted that
Paris was over run with lawyers. Of course, these scoundrels always
pick the left-over corpses of both sides of political whoredom’s isle,
as swine pilferaging garbage thrown into any dumpster.

Hello from New Zealand! Love your blog mate and I hope you succeed in showing your fellow Americans how things really are. Know that there are Kiwis like myself who agree with you and hope our American friends make the right choice next November, assuming the right choice is on offer! Sarah Palin would definitely be my choice too if I had a vote! Keep up the good work, I'll be checking back regularly.

Last time I saw this national disaster looming (2008) I studied up on NZ as one of the places to perhaps flee to. I would have been halfway thru my naturalization by now if you drove on the same side of the freeway as up here. We must do the best we can here to first purge the statist marxists from Washington. Then try not to be rioted by the unions and the militant moochers while attempting
to unshackle our poor and badgered free market to accept risk again and grow out of our near insolvency. If we fail along the way then, mate, look out for the worldwide deconstruction we will have instigated. My apologies in advance for such hardship.

Hey Mark, It was a pleasure to have dinner with you and your daughter (at Chili's), I believe in your words and we need to have more people to speak the truth. I hope we Americans wake up and learn what the government is doing behind our backs and also that we need to push our politicians to represent the people's interests and freedoms. Keep up the good work.

  20. Joshua says:

Mark, love you writings on here. I notice you are a backer of Palin. I like some if not all of her ideas. My only problem with her, in my opinion, she quit her job as Gov of Alaska. If you could email me at lacosa4597@gmail.com, I would love to discuss this with you. I am also thinking about starting a blog, maybe we could do something together. Keep up the good fight my man. Joshua(Surprise AZ)

    • MarkAmerica says:

Joshua, thanks! One thing I'd suggest, before you dismiss her due to stepping aside from her office: She did it in order to keep her word. She always said that the state of Alaska and its people were more important than any one person, herself included, and since she had become the focus, it was obstructing the duties of Alaska's gov't… So she stepped aside that her good works would go on without her. If you haven't seen the Undefeated, I'd urge you to do so. It may still be on PPV, and I know the DVD is due out in a couple weeks. I think this will clear up the misconception. Thanks!

      • Tom says:

Don’t you just love how people criticize Palin for resigning, but probably didn’t give a penny to her legal defense fund? Too bad those people don’t face bankrupting legal fees and a completely hamstriinging, Jihad-esgue lawfare against them at their work. Then if such were put on them, they would have some understanding.

      • Joshua says:

I've never seen that that movie. I looked at directv and I didn't see it. But, I will indeed check it out in the near future. I understand why she said she left as gov, I get what you're saying. But in my core, I feel like she quit. Whatever the reasons' are, I feel uncomfortable with that. I've done my DD on the subject, and I keep coming back to what I kindly keeping bringing up, I feel she should have stuck it out, and proven all the bs against her was bogus, slander and stood tall. She is making plenty of money, and I think she had a fund set up for her defense team. We as Americans fight to win, we don't let the evil ones keep us from doing our job, even if that means our kids have a little less, or maybe our 401k takes a hit, with an early withdraw. I know, this, because I have done it! Perhaps we can agree to disagree, and no hard feelings. Again, I love almost all of what you write on here, spot on!

  21. Tom says:

There is a problem with the site. Why is it some of my comments will appear when I use Internet Explorer, but not when using Mozilla?

    • MarkAmerica says:

Tom, It may not be your browser. I have had to adopt a policy of approving responses here to prevent a couple issues, including leftist spamming, commercial spamming, and frankly, a few other things. You’d be amazed at the trash people will post if you leave it unrestricted. I have a responsibility to my readers to prevent the most vile bilge from appearing, and nobody want to read a string of web-hosting spam ads, or a hundred “Lift the Prohibition on Pot” rants from a certain segment of the political spectrum. Unfortunately, since I can’t monitor 24×7, I approve comments as I get to them. So no, this isn’t a free-for-all.

  22. Jill D. says:

Mark, just ran across your website. Love your blog. I agree with your thoughts about the country. It is in a world of hurt. She won't survive another four years of Obamaism. We need to run someone in the upcoming election that can beat the pants off of him. I like Palin a lot. She's smart, not afraid of speaking her mind and she scares the heck out of the libs/progressives. With the bad press and name calling that the drive-by media has heaped upon her, she seems to have lost a lot of her support from people. Do you think that she'd be able to survive and defeat the Obama Chicago thug tactics that you know are going to take place during this election? I worry whether she'd be a strong enough candidate to uproot Obama.
BTW – I'm from upstate NY myself (Binghamton) and moved here to TX as soon as I could. :-) I love it here.

  23. Peg Gentle says:

This is a great forum, Mark! I am glad I found it. I think your analysis of the conditions we face as Americans is accurate. Sarah Palin is our hope! After reading both of her books and reading most of her commentaries on FB AND seeing many of her interviews, I am certain that she is equipped to lead this country and make the courageous decisions that will be necessary to repair the damages Obama has created and to restore our strong foundation. That foundation is still there….Obama has tried his best to make it crumble, but we know it's still there. I have sensed that God is raising her up and that she is doing necessary homework right now so that she will be very well prepared once her campaign begins. She's smart! She is letting all the other candidates ramble around some issues with no basic plan or expertise. That speech in Iowa proved she is grounding herself and knows where she is going! What an awesome speech! She is right on target with everything she has in that plan. I am sure she and Todd have spent many hours thinking and planning and praying. I trust that God is guiding them both as they are seeking Him and including Him in their lives. We stand to see America rise up from these awful times and grow stronger. We must not allow any fear to deter our mindset. As I watch Sarah Palin speak and mingle through the crowds shaking hands and interacting with folks, I see a strong, secure lady who isn't afraid. It's exciting to me to watch history being made!

    • Joshua says:

Peg. No harm no foul, but I don't think anyone saying that God is raising her to lead America does any good. I'm a Christian, I think anyway, as I try to follow Christ, to my abilities. But, I really don't know if God would choose one person over another to be elected as POTUS. Kind of goes slam in the face of the reason I trust in God, our own free will. Did God allow Hitler to do what he did? I was going to point out numerous evil people that were atop a selected people, and ask you if God chooses? I'm not God, so I don't know, but I think he gives us a choice, and all of our choices are judged when the time comes. I think, no I beleive that God loves all of us, and has no agenda. That is what makes the God I believe in so special, he doesn't tell us our future. He set out some guidelines, and it's up to us to follow or don't. When we say God is doing this and that, when it comes to a certain political leader, I run away, as should every American. IMO

  24. Joshua says:

Wow, you should really have more about yourself on the about Mark America tab. I've never been censored by any conservative blog I frequent. You won't let this through, but I want you to know that just because someone does not allign themselves with your ideals all the time, does not mean they can't contribute to the debate. I working with someone to start a new blog, and I will have no choice but to point out how you really operate your ship here. You don't really have any followers, but those that do, need to understand how you operate. Be well.

    • Joshua says:

Oh yes, I forgot you agree with the idea that God is guiding Palin. Grow up sir, spend a little time outside your bubble, trade some stocks, it's fun and might give you some moneys to upgrade your site.

      • MarkAmerica says:

I agree with that? Could you please point it out, somewhere, in anything I've said? Which brings up another rule: I don't permit bashing people solely on the basis of religion. I don't need to upgrade my site. it's just fine. Perfect? No. Fine? Yes.

    • MarkAmerica says:

What are you talking about Joshua? The spam filter could have caught it. I'll look later. There are like 200 or so built up in there. I don't censor people, but my rules are simple: Don't attack others commenting, and don't use epithets or vulgarity. You do realize comments go with thread, generally, right?

      • Joshua says:

I guess my response is now allowed. Thnks

        • MarkAmerica says:

I think you need to learn some patience. I think rather than screech about conspiracies about your comments being blocked, once again, you might consider a couple things: I am one person. Because of some rather nasty responses put up by some Ron Paul supporters, I've been forced to screen all comments. Sorry, that's the way it's going to be. That means comments will sit in a queue until I get to them. I must occasionally sleep, and do other things, so you'll naturally understand if I don't wait breathlessly for your next "I'm being censored" remark.

  25. Joshua says:

By you blocking my responce, you then agree with it, in a way.

    • framistat says:

Joshua, Your reasoning is irrational. Of all the reasons to block a post, disagreeing with the host is the least significant. Mark can take the heat, and frankly based on your visible posts, I doubt that we have missed any scintillating discussion of world affairs.

Try being more amenable in the future, and you will have more success. You can disagree without being a dweeb.

I also found your forum via The Blaze and a poster that supplied the link. I feel as though I have, at last, found a place where I belong. I'm in agreement with Peg Gentle above as I, too, think your analysis of the conditions we face as Americans is accurate.

Those who write history will have a field day with this President and I can guarantee that history will not be kind to him. President “O” operates on moving so fast, or so slow, or on too many issues at one time, while talking about things he never does, and doing things that he never talks about it…that he hopes no one will be able to figure out what he is doing.

Unfortunately, too many people support the Pres who have no clue as to what is going on, much less who Obama is as a person. And that is his intention…he wants people to view and image and work out the details for themselves…to explain away his actions. Enter…Bill O'Reilly.

I'm entertained constantly by the "news" reports that attempt to explain away or justify everything he does…without ever connecting his actions to what is really happening to the people of this country, and the country itself.

I pray for clarity for the people of the U.S. Especially those who do not realize that they are being manipulated by just a few thousand rabid Obama backers who are attacking Palin, Republicans, Bush, Fox, any and every group that they want to make sure is smeared to keep them from illuminating who Obama is and what he is doing.

    2012 cannot come soon enough.

THE HONEYMOON ON OPPOSITE SIDES OF FENCE
It seems that a national orgy is taking roots, as to what manner
specific people should practice self-indulgence, in attempting by-pass
mother nature. Dr. Sigmund Freud coined the ” Oedipus Complex,” into
play regarding individual repression and regressing as individuals
differ as to the unknown conscious release of erotic inhibitions and
anxiety, long stored away since childhood. During mass hysteria, as we
witness, sublimating intellectual are coming forth, in order to
subconsciously connect with this nationwide release of stored up energy,
being diverted from memories of infantile fixations, long repressed
desires coming forth from toddler insecurity to be loved. This abnormal
courting of a contraceptive guardian as a post behavioral
confrontation, in trying to trick the alter Ego, in abiding with the Id
to defuse overdue anxiety of which mentally unstable instincts must take
group satisfaction, in clasping hands that some way must be found to
thwart massive psychoneurosis in avoiding all temptations that has
hounded mankind from the days of Adam and Eve. The National Psychiatric
Association has long ago questioned just how Sigmund Freud designated
regression and repression as tied to individual libido, in somewhat
somewhat altering this opinion and its psychological play on
individual neurosis. The late Dr.Judd Marmor, in his ” Psychiatry In
In transition ” disapproves of Freud’s contention that a double
classification toward personality disorder ( schizophrenia ) is
incorrect; and that both word structure means one and the
same…repression. Too, that schizophrenia is being dropped from
psychiatry, because it has no clarity towards a supposed personality
disorder. We must conclude that Freud’s Oedipus syndrome is in
question. Yet, the squabble between pro-contraception preservers and
those against this proposal, are in the same in that two classes of
individuals are using public sublimation, as erotic desires still lay
deep within the unknown subconscious– repression and regression.

i read some of your posts and many of the comments. you are a fine young man like my two sons. sadly, there are not enough of us and we are losing ground daily while the darkside is gaining. if there is a 2012 election it will be meaningless. our system of governance is incapable of restoring our republic. only 50 million Marks led by cincinnatus could begin to extirpate our accumulated ills. even the survival & preparedness groups will last but a short time after the darkside surrounds them. there are enough Marks right now to take america back but normalcy bias prevents all but a few from realizing that the only option is the one chosen by our founders after all avenues had been closed by king george iii. our fatal sequence has come full circle and political solutions are obsolete.
ask yourself what would happen if obama declared himself president for life tomorrow. who could or would stop a president willing to use the unenumerated powers always available but never used by that office. yes, there are indeed 50 million armed patriots. but, they have no leader. napoleon said great things are done by man, not men. without a leader we are an unorganized mob facing totalitarian tyranny willing to use the weapons of a super-power to exterminate all those who disagree. i have 6000 years of history and 262 million murdered innocents just during the 20th century on my side.
mark, go to my website, http://www.its-over.org or itsstillover.com and see the short video. i titled by book, it's over, for a reason. selling you a book is not the reason for this comment. in fact, i will not send you one if you order it. i will give you a copy free if you are ever in the north georgia mountains.
conservative authors make millions detailing our problems. all tell us that our salvation lies with our rights of suffrage. do they not know that 69.5 million votes were counted for obama. our system of governance is broken and beyond repair. our taxes and deficits now indirectly fund the people dismantling our republic just as predicted in the tytler study of democracies.
my first stint with the cia was during the cuban crisis in '62. i lived the life of a slow-motion jack bauer until '88 when i was in laos and decided to hang it up. most will call me a defeatist and say that the best years of america lie ahead. me and my forefathers created america, fought and died in it's wars but we will not make it this time. unlike other oppressed groups for the last 400 years we have no america to flee to. we are facing global tyranny and have nowhere to hide.
i wish you well and will visit your site often.

Ron, Thank you, that's very kind of you to say. There may be a shortage of people who will fight for our country, but I also believe that most, as ever, will sit primarily on the sidelines. Mark, Thanks for posting the information about Scott Olsen. During the Vietnam Era the Leftists, with the help of the media, succeeded in creating a false and degrading image of Vietnam Veterans. They did this with the help of people like John Kerry and his "Winter Soldiers", who turned out to be mostly phony or disgraced opportunists. That image lingers to this day. We need to make sure that doesn't happen to today's veterans. So, people like Olsen and his brothers in such Leftist organizations as "Iraq Veterans Against the War" and the like must be exposed. It was that liberal Ronald Reagan that signed the law requiring hospitals to treat people without the ability to pay. If it is the supreme courts judgement that it is better to change the law and let people die in the streets (talk about death panels) rather than force people to get insurance then shame on them. By the way.. Who pays for the justices health insurance?  Over half the personal bankruptcies are health care cost related.  Obviously the current system is working just fine.

Good work, Mark, from another slightly senior “Mark” who holds out against liberal zombie hordes both inside and outside the GOP in Washington State. Establishment schemes and scams were legion this election cycle.

Please write a piece about what just transpired at the GA GOP Convention. I feel this is the clarion call to wake people up, a harbinger of what is to come. Here’s my fb post w/link to video:

Our personal sovereignty and Constitutional freedoms are being sold out by our political leaders at all levels & by the largest, most powerful TEA Party in the nation. Please watch & share. This is YOU… freely & willingly embracing tyranny. If you aren’t actively fighting for the brokered convention YOU ARE THE PROBLEM. Not Obama, not Romney, not the elite, not the politico… IT IS OUR JOB TO BE THE GATEKEEPERS. DOOOOO SOMETHING!!!

“excerpt from the GA State GOP convention, held on May 19, 2012.

While in the process of adopting a resolution for their platform, stating that NDAA 1021 should be repealed, an amendment was offered such that the GA GOP will not endorse a candidate who is in favor of, or who voted on NDAA 1021.

This amendment was passed, but shortly afterward, it was realized that Mitt Romney supports NDAA 1021, so after a bit of discussion, the amendment was withdrawn.

this video is an excerpt of the ustream that was recorded live during the convention, and can be found here: http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/22702482

Well met, sir. Found your site today with a link to the story of the travesty perpetrated against Colonel West. An American by birth and a Texan by choice myself. Refugee of the People’s Republic of Connecticut, and a few years older than you. Been a Texan since fleeing here more than half my life ago. Am bookmarking your site, and keenly interested in any effort to organize true conservatives, as it is plainly evident that the Republican party has lost its way. Will return. Thank you for doing what you are doing to keep the candle lit.

Thank you sir! You certainly seem to share some history with me. Maybe we can put conservatism on track, but not until we do something about the GOP.
