Sarah Palin Announces Run for Congress!

Friday, April 1st, 2022

Back in the fight! Run, Sarah Run!

After more than a decade out of elected office, former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin has announced that she will be seeking the office vacated by the death of long-time Congressman Don Young.  While she’s been out of office, many have pined for her return to the political stage, and nobody has done more in recent years to elevate the profile of the state, and as governor, none had done more to represent the interests of Alaskans than Sarah Palin.  Frankly, this writer is ecstatic at the announcement.  It’s a phenomenal turn of events. Let’s hope Alaskans see it the way I do, and let’s hope for a Trump Rally in Anchorage to endorse her!  Trump’s got to understand what a huge boost for his own future plans an in-person rally in Alaska would be.  I’m getting ahead of myself, of course, but I’m just very happy to see that Governor Palin is back into the fight. According to several outlets, Palin was quoted as saying:

“We need people like Donald Trump, who has nothing to lose. Like me,”

It’s true. We need more people who aren’t captured by the Republican establishment in DC.  Sarah Palin represents that mindset. She also recognizes the severe dangers to the United States into which our current so-called “leadership” places us.

Best of all, we can read her own words on the matter:

Within minutes after this tweet, I think the server at sarahforalaska.com became completely overwhelmed.  I suspect people from all over Alaska, and indeed all over America, are rushing in to support her. Be patient. Once the mad rush is over, you’ll be able to get there.

All I can say at this point is: Run Sarah, RUN!

And kick some RINO ass while you’re at it. Godspeed, Governor Palin! The country is in dire need of real patriots in DC like never before.

The Local Collaborators Looting You Blind

They’re Flushing Your Money

Many people have fallen into the mistaken belief that the abomination in DC won’t affect them locally. This couldn’t be more wrong. The oligarchs in Washington DC have concocted a scheme by which they’re going to seize control over local County and Municipal governments in a way that will make it impossible for you to escape the federal stooges and their deep state monopoly of power over you. The question is: What strings will be attached to the loot?  What sorts of things will they force down your throats at the local level in exchange for the giant giveaway of your tax dollars? This is insanity, and so that you’re able to see what’s what, here are two documents that include amounts, by City and State, and County and State, respectively. They’re going to crush us. What sort of strings will they use? Honestly, it looks more like a pay-off for participating in the big steal. Every government contractor, big and small, every vendor, they’re all looking at this cash and drooling.  This haul of cash is going to be taken from your pockets at gunpoint.  What say are you getting in any of this?

Here are the documents:

fiscalrecoveryfunds-metrocitiesfunding1-508A

fiscalrecoveryfunds_countyfunding_2021.05.10-1a-508A

Just because the federal government waves money under the noses of your local politicians, it doesn’t mean they have to take it. After all, this is your money, and before it can be “gifted” to these cities and counties, it must first be stolen from you and from your children.

Representative Admits Insiders May Have Invited Protesters Into Capitol

Blabbermouth Lets Cat Out of Bag

This is what I’ve been reporting since Wednesday, when it became readily apparent based on available videos that Capitol Police seemed to invite protesters into the Capitol. This doesn’t excuse anybody who made entry elsewhere or broke windows and other forms of hooliganism, but this seems to go a long way in explaining why so many people may have gone into the Capitol, unthinkingly following the herd, and unaware they were doing anything wrong or that they shouldn’t have been there. If they went to the door of a government building, and police officers open the door to let them in, have they knowingly done something illegal? See the whole report here at JustTheNews. According to this report, Congresswoman Debbie “Blabbermouth” Wasserman-Schultz(D-FL) said:

“Then we also have to make sure that we answer the questions about how some of the things that happened on Wednesday could have happened without there being inside assistance because I hate to say that, I pray to God that is not what happened, but there were some actions taken that you can’t just imagine how they happened without some kind of permissiveness occurring.”

This tends to mitigate much of this “angry mob” narrative, doesn’t it? I can’t imagine how this happens without somebody high up in the Capitol Hill police force knowing it, authorizing it, and telling officers to facilitate it. That fact should immediately put egg on the faces of everybody from Nancy Pelosi to Mitch McConnell to the mainstream media, not to mention the throng of leftists calling all Trump supporters “domestic terrorists” and other such nonsense. More, this tends to shoot a giant hole in the entire “incitement” narrative being hurled at President Trump. In the video below, posted on Twitter, it appears that protesters were invited and ushered inside by Capitol Police. This same thing may have occurred at multiple entrances. Certainly, we need to know who ordered this effective stand-down and breach of security by Capitol Police, and motives need to be immediately investigated.

Unarmed, Apparently Non-Violent, Ashli Babbit Killed

Friday, January 8th, 2021

Why Was She Killed?

There is no explanation of the video below that would seem able to make this a necessary shooting, and I’m hardly alone in that assessment. She shouldn’t have been there, and was violating the law, but looking at the situation in its totality, I don’t know how this can be justified.  I want to know the identity of the shooter.  I want to see this investigated just like every other police-involved shooting.  There’s something “off” here.  I’m trying to imagine how this shooting is justifiable. I want to understand the thinking of the shooter at the time of the event. I want to know what his frame of mind and frame of reference was when he pulled the trigger.  She doesn’t appear to be an immediate threat to anybody in the video clip below. There were officers right behind her, and she appeared not to be posing a threat to them, and in fact had her back to them, so I don’t understand the necessity of shooting her. What threat did she pose that required lethal force?  Who is the shooter? Again, it’s a given that she shouldn’t have been there, but this doesn’t seem like a justifiable shooting. It doesn’t. Whose life was she threatening? I don’t get it. If the justification of lethal force is only to thwart lethal or potentially lethal threats, on its face, she didn’t seem to have been one.

I also notice that the shooter seemed to have been in plain clothes. Was he part of a protective detail?  Did Babbit unknowingly get too close to a protected person? We know the US Secret Service evacuated Vice President Mike Pence(R) and Speaker Nancy Pelosi(D-CA) from their respective chambers.  I realize there could have been something I haven’t seen, and the footage below is a very short video clip, but this doesn’t look to have been necessary. It’s also not apparently an accidental discharge. The shooter seems to size up the target, aim, and fire.  Her life was poached with clear intent, and I’m going to need to see the justification for this. Once again, yes, we all know she shouldn’t have been there. Does her mere presence justify her killing? If it does, then when Code Pink commandeered a hearing room to protest Rex Tillerson’s nomination, should they have been gunned-down? And what of the Republican Congressmen who stormed a secure chamber? Theoretically, they shouldn’t have been there either. Were they supposed to be gunned-down for their actions? I’m asking those Congressmen: Was this justified? Since it seems evident that they’re trying to bury all of this, I’d suggest that Trump appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the whole incident and punish all those who are guilty, either of violence on the part of protesters, or any other bad actors in this affair. We need to know the chronologically organized details of who did what, and when. If she got too close to a protectee of the Secret Service, she may have unknowingly forfeited her own life by attempting to climb through. Even if that’s so, we still need the details. There needs to be an investigation and explanation to the public for the death of 35 year-old Ashil Babbit. Transparency is a must. Otherwise, this is like Tiananmen Square.

I’m also tired of the contention that this was the worst penetration of a federal facility since the British burned the White House. That’s a lie, and it’s a well-known lie. One needs only to remember 9/11/2001 and the Pentagon to put the lie to that particular narrative. I’m not excusing the behavior of those who forced their way into the Capitol, damaged property, and behaved lawlessly, because all of that should be prosecuted and punished, but I’m not sure that anything I’ve seen here in this video suggests Babbit required summary execution. Again, it’s a short clip, and more context is needed. I don’t wish to condemn this officer without all the facts, or without knowing what exactly his frame of mind and his contextual understanding had been at the time. The left jumps to those kinds of conclusions, whereas we should demand evidence. I’m not excusing him, either. That’s why I think a full, public investigation is necessary. We need serious transparency.

OMG! Incitement of Unrest!

Flashback: Ayanna Pressley Calling for Unrest in August

For those who may have missed it, in August, leftist nutjob, “Squad” member Ayanna Pressley(D-MA) called for unrest in the streets. Here’s the video:

I don’t want to hear another word from these people. Donald Trump NEVER said anything even approaching this. Not even close. This idiot went on MSDNC and called for unrest. This is a US Representative!

Chaos in the Capitol(False Flag)

Wednesday, January 6th, 2021

Does this idiot look like MAGA to you?

In the same pattern we’ve see over the last seven months, Antifa members camouflaged as Trump supporters engage in a violent assault at the US Capitol following Trump’s speech to the crowd at the Ellipse. This was predictable. They interrupted the proceedings of the Electoral College vote count, and they did this for two reasons:

  • To defame Trump  and his supporters by the false association with mayhem
  • To gain compliance of Republican Senators and Representative

I strongly suspect this action was planned, and that people in Congress(and potentially the Vice President) knew it in advance. It was only yesterday that Senator Chuck Grassley(R-IA) mentioned Vice President Pence leaving the Senate today, but later revised his remarks.

First of all, I will be — if the Vice President isn’t there and we don’t expect him to be there — I will be presiding over the Senate. — Chuck Grassley on 01/05/2020

Reports have surfaced that both Pence and Pelosi have been evacuated.  One might wonder how Grassley could have known such a thing in advance.

Then I read the remarks of Senator Tom Cotton(R-AR):

This tweet appeared within seconds of the first reports of trouble. Cotton was under severe criticism for being unwilling to object to the electoral college votes.

Meanwhile, Mayor Muriel Bowser(D-DC) announced a curfew. Her order was posted also within minutes of the first report of trouble:

Mayors_Order_2020-069

The problem is that the order posted on the Website is dated last June, from the original rioting going on. In fact, I don’t know if due to pure incompetence or what, but the pdf attached to the page(and displayed above) has nothing to do with today.

Folks, this whole thing is a setup. The media is pushing this, with inflammatory language. My local radio station reported in serious terms:

“This was the worst breach of a federal government since the British burned the White House.” – Eric Bushman of WBAP News

Did they miss the memo of airplane PARKING IN THE PENTAGON on 9/11/01?

Do these look like MAGA folk to you?

MAGA or Antifa?

Folks, this is a setup. They all want Trump gone and this is how they’re going to do it.

Check out the picture in this tweet. This is ANTIFA not MAGA:

Somebody’s going to need to explain the behavior of the Capitol Hill Police in this video:

Just so you all know, I can’t currently post on Twitter until next Monday. I’m being punished for saying the GOP needs to die. They accused me of wishing harm on somebody when I was clearly talking about a political organization… not a person. It’s amazing how letter-of-the-law they can be when judging leftists’ tweets but how they suddenly have a “living interpretation” when it’s a conservative. Anyway, saw this tweet, and I agree with the sentiment:

Ilhan Omar and Her Party of Hate

Thursday, March 7th, 2019

The Hateful New Democrats’ New Leader

When the newly seated Democrat majority passed a change to House rules permitting the wearing of the hijab in the House chamber, one might have guessed that it didn’t bode well for that institution.  Incoming freshman Representative Ilhan Omar(D-MN) has been on a non-stop anti-Jew, anti-Israel tirade for all of her public life, and just as she expected Democrats to bulldoze rules to permit her to wear her headgear in the House, she expects them to let her go on with her hate without any restraint.  After a string of non-apology apologies, and after much gnashing of teeth in her party’s caucus, the answer is clear: The Democrat Party is endorsing her brand of hatred, as they launch their latest jihad against the American people.  It’s her party now, and it’s a party of hate.

In one instance after another, Omar has repeatedly played on anti-semitic stereotypes and slurs to advance her cause.  The shocking part has been that the fools in her party have accepted it.  They’ve tolerated it.  They will not sanction her for it, and they will not take responsibility for their collective refusal to act.  Instead, they’ve introduced a neutered, generic resolution condemning hate. It’s caused a split in the Democrat Party in the House, with the few remaining semi-sane Democrats insisting that the language must be stronger. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi(D-CA) has said the new version of the resolution will not mention Omar directly.

This is the Democrat Party of 2019: It’s a barely-restrained, hate-filled, pile of identity-politics.  They have fallen so far that they cannot even agree within their caucus about the evils of anti-semitism.  Instead, they offer platitudes about generic hate.

I have no problem with hate, because I believe in freedom of speech and freedom of thought.  If people like Omar wish to express their vile and unremitting hatred of the Jewish people and the State of Israel, that’s fine, but don’t dare to tell me how the Democrat Party is a party of tolerance as they increasingly incorporate virulently anti-semitic people into their party.  People like Keith Ellison(D-MN), and Ilhan Omar(D-MN), and Rashida Tlaib(D-MI) among lesser lights are the new version of Democrat hatred, replacing their old-timey haters like Senator Byrd(D-WV,) known for his 51 years in the US Senate and his membership in the KKK. Of course, big-time politicians who were KKK members were also almost universally Democrats.  It appears that their party always needs somebody to hate.  Today, it’s the long-suffering Jewish people.  We must continue to press the Democrats to reconcile their alleged “party of inclusion” while they continue to adopt disgusting anti-semites and other racists into their midst.  In the Republican Party, the party ejects such people.  Ask Steve King.  Meanwhile, in the House, the Democrats are making plain that they are the party of hate.

The Deep State Wants a Crisis

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2019

Be Prepared for Disaster

The partial government “shutdown” has gone on for a month.  The Deep State is becoming impatient and angry.  Democrats are claiming the people are with them, but that’s not exactly true.  The Deep State is with them.  It is the Deep State that is most affected by this partial shutdown, but the Deep State is also opposed to border walls.  The Deep State is preparing to create a false flag or contrived crisis or a national tragedy that will be used to cause President Trump to sue for peace.  They want it to be ugly.  The Deep State is out for vengeance, and its agents, like House Speaker Nancy Pelosi(D-CA,) have every intention of punishing the people of the United States to get their way.  Why do you think she and Adam Schiff-hole had planned to leave the country?  Safely out of the country, whatever happened to the people back home would not affect them.  The Deep State is angry now, and there’s every chance that it’s preparing to lash out.  Now is a time of danger for the country, not because Donald Trump wants to secure our border, but because the Deep State desperately opposes him.

The Democrats know they can scare the American people, thereby pushing them in the direction they need us to go.  The reason it works is because we continue to fall for it.  The specifics of the disaster the Deep State will create really don’t matter.  A terrorist attack?  A financial collapse?  A mass shooting?  A giant disturbance at the border?  Whatever it turns out to be, now that President Trump has shown that he’s not going to buckle, they’re got to find a way to drive him.  Remember that great admission of Rahm Emmanuel: “You should never let a crisis go to waste,” and the Deep State and its DC agents are more than happy to create the crisis.  The Atlantic article is just the basic preparation for this, so they can later claim “we warned you.”

This sort of stage-setting happens in media all the time.  It’s their way of trying to drive the herd.  If they get their way, they may be able to call off their plans, but more often than not, they don’t stop it.  It’s just too easy to cause harm to the American people and to drive them with fear.  Naturally, this is a big, complex, and dangerous world, so things can naturally happen without any Deep State involvement, but when I see the Atlantic running this sort of story, I know it has a point, and an audience, and the purpose is as I’ve described.  Don’t fall for it.

Pelosi could end this shutdown any time she likes.  Pelosi and her cohorts were willing to fly for a week to overseas locations while 800,000 federal employees go unpaid.  How can she and Adam Schiff-hole and the rest claim to care about the employees?  How can they claim to be negotiating?  It’s frighteningly obvious that Pelosi and her caucus aren’t willing to make a deal.  Some Democrats are getting wobbly, and for the most part, all except the most weaselly RINOs in the Republican caucus seem unusually committed (so far) to standing their ground.  This shutdown is really for all the marbles, and if President Trump doesn’t stand fast this time, he never will, and the Democrats will “run train” on him as insipid freshman Congress-commie Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez intoned early last  week.

The Democrats are becoming desperate, and with Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s health still in doubt, they’re apt to do anything.  I hope the Secret Service is diligent, because all that stands between a “President Pelosi” and us is the security of our president and vice president, and you know that left-wing nut-jobs seem to multiply these days.  The USSS is on the job vigilantly as their duties require, but I point out for the record that virtually all political assassins in American history were leftist nut-cases, whatever the philosophical leanings of the politician in question.  They are more than willing to overturn self-governance by assassination if they think it’s warranted, and leftist nut-jobs always think it’s warranted.  We mustn’t let them steal the presidency, whether by impeachment or by more grotesque and unlawful means.  The Deep State operators who are now beginning to face justice for their treasonous behavior.  There was no limit to what they would attempt by guile and subterfuge, but now, as the shadow of the hangman’s noose looms into view, they fear the wages of their treason, and whatever limits they might have observed are now completely irrelevant.  They need the crisis now in order to deny the justice they deserve, but if a crisis doesn’t arise on its own, they’re more than happy to provide one.

Paul Ryan Sabotaged Nunes’ Deep State Investigation

Swamp Rat Number One

Long-time readers will be aware that I’ve never thought much of former Speaker Paul Ryan(R-WI,) and that I’ve long thought he was just a Washington DC insider getting wealthy on his connections and position.  Now comes news that confirms what I thought all along: Paul Ryan actually punished Devin Nunes(R-CA) for tipping-off President Trump about the deep-state spying on the Trump campaign that occurred in the last year of the Obama administration.  No wonder then that Paul Ryan retired as Speaker of the House.  If the abuses of the FISC and the FISA process is ever fully disclosed, people like Ryan are going to be caught up in it all.  Ryan and his ilk are the swamp.  It’s no secret that Ryan didn’t want Trump elected, and did everything he could do undermine him.  Sure, he made some campaign appearances apparently on Trump’s behalf, but let’s be blunt: It was all about keeping up appearances.  The real truth came out when it was disclosed by Cleta Mitchell on Lou Dobbs’ show that Ryan punished(!) Nunes by putting him before the ethics committee, and that action stalled Nunes’ investigation for a year:

Do you understand what this really was? Paul Ryan, using his power as Speaker of the House, tied up Devin Nunes in a phony ethics committee investigation because he went to the President to warn him about the plot against him.  While Nunes was out of the picture, the investigation was being stalled and obfuscated.  Only once the ethics committee dispensed with the nonsensical ethics review was Nunes restored as chairman, and by then, he was going to be in a race to get things revealed to the public before the midterms of 2018.

This is sick.  Paul Ryan helped the DC Uni-Party get away with their crimes, if ultimately, they manage to do so.  I like Dan Bongino’s term for insider, DC Republicans: “Swamp Rats.”  Paul Ryan is all of that and more.  I wonder how many other swamp rats are among the Republicans who “retired” in 2018. They’ve been helping Obama’s people avoid justice because they’re owed justice too.  President Trump had better focus some of his energies on cleaning up the DC swamp before it swallows him whole.

Presidential Authority During National Emergencies

Sunday, January 6th, 2019

As the media begins to go absolutely nuts over the idea that the President might declare an emergency and re-allocate military funds to build the wall, it would be useful to review all the sorts of authorities any President has in time of emergency.  The radical statists who comprise the left are in favor of such power, but at the moment, such power, in the hands of President Trump, is contrary to their political interests.  Their whole shtick is “resist.”  Their rabid, anti-America base will oppose him simply because he’s not them.  The NeverTrump republicans, including opportunists like Mitt Romney, will undoubtedly oppose him.  Before the shrill voices grow louder, confounding our ability to understand the issue, let’s look at the law to see if we can easily surmise whether such an action by the President is authorized by the constitution.  After all, the constitution must be our yardstick.  With that in mind, let us examine why it is that President Trump is fully within the bounds of his constitutional authority to declare an emergency and build the wall, using the military to do so if need be.

First, let’s see what the President has to say on the matter, this past Friday in the Rose Garden:

One of the things always available to any president is the powers of Commander in Chief.  Article II of the United States Constitution makes one thing expressly explicit in Section II:

The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offenses against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.”(Emphasis mine.)

The bolded portion here is easily understood.  He’s in charge of the military.  He decides how and when federal troops and state militia[national guard] will be deployed.  He, solely, is vested with the authority to determine their mission, and their day-to-day activities in pursuit of that mission.  Not Congress.  Not the courts.  Not the Secretary of Defense(who works for him directly.)  Nobody else trumps the President in the deployment of the armed forces.  Nobody can countermand him in his role as Commander in Chief.  Not John Roberts.  Not Nancy Pelosi.  Not Mitch McConnell.  Got it?  Seriously, if you have any doubt whatever about this, I have doubts about your reading comprehension.

The President can, within his authority, bring all of the soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines, be they active or reserve components, or National Guard components, and assign them the mission of building the wall.  He can, within the scope of his authority, redirect EVERY MEMBER OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES, up to and including the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and also all DoD civilians, shovels and pick-axes in hand, to begin building the wall. He has this authority.

Some will point out that this is all well and good – that the President has the manpower available – but he does not have the money for the materials.  Wrong. Since the President determines the disposition of the Armed Forces, he also has some significant latitude in determining a number of things.  He can, at any moment, instruct the SecDef to cancel a contract.  Imagine all the whining Congress critters who have significant defense contracts in their districts who would lose their collective minds when he redirected funds in this manner.  It’s within his authority. Also, he can call all active forces to support the Army Corps of Engineers, who he can command to direct the construction.  There are all sorts of caches of “emergency funds” built into various budget areas that can be put to work in this way.  Congress is powerless to stop it because they’ve already appropriated and authorized the funds.

The President of the United States has broad powers already delegated to him by Congress to meet various emergencies.  For instance, while I believe the War Powers Act is probably unconstitutional if any President wanted to challenge its limits, there is nothing to prohibit a president from feigning compliance. A president could very easily declare a national security emergency arising from our porous Southern border, and deploy our forces in support of that mission. At the very least, he’d have 60 days to make an initial report to Congress, and a further 30 days to withdraw forces(which means the limit is effectively 90 days, where US border operations would be concerned.)  He need only be able to show that there is an attack of any sort on the United States.  Did you happen to notice those Soros-funded idiots throwing rocks and Molotov cocktails and other weapons at our border agents recently?  That’s an attack against the United States, folks.

Readers would do well to acquaint themselves with Title 50 of the United States code.  It would also be useful to examine the Insurrection Act of 1807, as amended.  This, by itself, may provide all the justification Trump would need under existing law.  Congress would be powerless to impede him.  Under the auspices of the National Emergencies Act, the President can do all manner of thing, but all Congress may do is pass a joint resolution of both houses of Congress to stop it. (And this may be open to Presidential challenge in courts.)

As readers are well aware, the United States of America has been at war since 2001.  Due to this fact, the President’s general set of authorities are somewhat broader than they might otherwise be during peacetime.  Folks, President Trump has so much power that he hasn’t even begun to exercise that he could build a wall from San Diego to Manhattan before the courts could untangle it all.  The simple point is that the President has this authority.  You may not like it.  Hell, generally speaking, I don’t like it because it has been abused constantly to the detriment of the American people.  Wilson and Roosevelt were monsters.  They did so many things under “emergency doctrine” that still carry the weight and force of law that I shudder to consider it.  If President Trump finally acts to build a wall along our Southern border, it will be one of the rare legitimate uses of such powers in my lifetime.

Democrats and NeverTrump RINOs might hate it, but if President Trump pursues this course, he’s certainly got every manner of precedent to support him, and there is every conceivable loophole in existing law to support it.  If he really wants to, nothing can stop President Trump from building that wall, except perhaps  impeachment and removal, and while the Democrats may be able to carry out the first, there’s next to zero chance they can remove him in the Senate. The American people would revolt.  Bank on it.

Repeal, Replace, or Regurgitate?

Thursday, June 22nd, 2017

mega_vomit_ft

With the slim details that are thus far available of the Senate’s Obamacare replacement legislation, I must say that I am both saddened and disgusted with the state of the Republican party in Congress, and highly annoyed with Donald Trump’s insistence on Wednesday night that more tax-payer money equals heart. That’s what he said, and it makes me ill. If Mr. Trump wishes to have more “heart” in healthcare, let him donate his billions. Most of us don’t have billions to give, or even hundreds, and the government doesn’t exactly “solicit donations.” It aims a gun at our heads, making demands for payment. What may disappoint me most about this is that from his base of support, a loud groan did not erupt when he made that statement before the audience in Iowa.  Conservatism is dying because to a large extent, so many Americans, so fatigued by Obama’s war against them, would accept two smiling lashes per day from another President if it meant escaping Obama’s ten, delivered across their backs with full leftist fury. So happy are they to be removed from Obama’s ever more weighty iron jack-boot, that they’re willing to have Donald Trump’s wingtip on their neck.  The stark truth of this whole situation is very simple, and it comes down to this: You cannot repeal a despicable law like Obamacare and then replace it with something very nearly as egregious, while hoping Americans won’t notice.

Apparently, most of a handful of Senators today noticed too: Senators Cruz(R-TX,) Johnson(R-WI,) Lee(R-UT,) and Paul(R-KY) signed a joint statement to the effect that they cannot support the Senate bill. I want to know where the other 48 Republican Senators are hiding.  This bill is a scandal, promising to saddle our children and grandchildren with a mountain of debt that reaches out to infinity.  President Trump should be ashamed.  Vice President Pence should join him in guilt for this bill. Over in the House, Paul Ryan should be breathing at least a momentary sigh of relief as the worst Republican bill to come out of Congress in memory is no longer his pet, now reduced instead to a close second in the standings.

I realize President Trump is not a conservative, but leans somewhat conservative on a few issues.  At present, however, he’s flirting with losing conservatives’ support because of this bill.  The Republicans in both houses of Congress have failed to provide a true repeal of Obamacare, and I cannot possibly express how thoroughly disappointing this development has been.  Rather than scrap the whole damnable thing, they are nearly all of the spending, and merely trimming some of the tax burdens Obamacare imposes.  That’s not “repeal.” It’s scarcely “replace.”

The sad truth is that our country is headed into the toilet of world history, and this bill will do nothing to arrest its fall.  We cannot have a system in which half the citizens are the beneficiaries of the lashes across the other half’s backs. I had hoped Trump would fight the left, rather than encouraging them, but this sort of thing provides fresh evidence that he’s just another big-government Republican, little different in this respect from the parade of so-called “moderates” who have repeatedly disappointed us.

President Trump’s supporters had better get in touch with Mr. “Big heart” and let him know that money doesn’t equal compassion when it is extracted at gunpoint, or affixed like a ball and chain to generations yet unborn. I could vomit.

There really is something deeply wrong with the GOP establishment, and as nearly all conservatives have always suspected, it’s this: Despite all of the GOP establishment’s haughty talk about moderation, they are willing to do anything, no matter how repulsive, to achieve their political ends in order to maintain power.  In Mississippi, Thad Cochran held onto his seat by the slimmest of margins over conservative Chris McDaniels.  Had there not been a laundry list of out-of-state, center-left interests pouring money in on Cochran’s behalf, this race would have come out differently, but what I want dispirited conservatives to know is that despite the loss, you won.  It might be hard to see at the moment, but there’s really something to be said for your accomplishments in this race.  The truth is now plain to see, and for those who doubted it before, the veil should now be thoroughly lifted:  The GOP establishment is comprised of a mafia-like element that will use any tactic necessary to keep its scumbags in office, and in this election, it was revealed in full, but this was only possible because conservatives pushed them to the brink.

Thad Cochran has been in political office nearly all of my life.  Now he faces an election for a seventh term, and if he succeeds, he will have served in the US Senate for forty-two years by the time the new term expires.  This is despicable.  What makes it all the more disgusting is the manner of his primary victory.  He did not win on the strength of his record, which is sorely lacking.  He did not win on the merits of his legislative proposals.  He did not win because Republicans in his state favor him.  He did not win even because Republican voters though McDaniels was an inferior candidate.  No, he won on the strength of contributions from his center-left connections, shady endorsements, and because his campaign’s proxies illegally urged Democrats to cross over and vote for him in the Republican primary.  They gave “walking-around money” to would-be Democrat voters, and they basically called McDaniels and the TEA Party “racists” who were out to get Barack Obama. Take a look at this flier, circulated prior to the primary run-off(H/T John Fund at NRO):

Despicable Cochran flier that circulated days before the run-off

Let me say this clearly.  Thad Cochran is a scumbag, and that he would employ such an outrageous tactic merely speaks to his unfitness for office.  Were I a Mississippi conservative, there is no way I would vote to re-elect this dirtball.  Instead, I would vote for the Democrat.  You might ask: “But Mark, if the Democrat is elected, we might not retake the Senate,” to which I must respond with a question: “We?”  Who comprises any “we” in any of this?  It is not Republicans and conservatives.  It is not TEA Party and constitutionalists.  The only “we” who will run the Senate, even if the Republicans win a majority in 2014 is the GOP establishment mafia.  I’d like Mississippi conservatives to think about that.

Haley Barbour and his extended gang, including Michael Bloomberg, Karl Rove, the Chamber of Commerce, a Facebook executive, and a legion of GOP establishment thugs were willing to use ginned-up Democrat support to steal this seat away from Mississippi conservatives.  Mississippi conservatives and TEA Party activists should know that there can be no restoration of the constitutional government they hope to promote so long as a gang of criminal cronies own their Senator.  The worst of it may have been the last-minute use of a sickening tactic of soliciting Democrats to support Cochran even if they would not vote for him in the Fall.

Listen to the following recording for a sample of what establishment Republicans(!) did to secure victory:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cpp6cYZrrcs]

This call went out to black Democrats to get them to vote in the Republican primary.

This is the establishment of the Republican Party.  They’re every bit the statist, mafia-like dirtbags the Democrats are, and as you can see, they will work with Democrats whenever necessary to maintain their grip on power.   What is my suggestion to the conservatives and TEA Party folk in Mississippi?  Either run McDaniels as an independent in November, or simply go out to support the Democrat.  Yes, I actually suggest supporting the Democrat, because since Cochran is willing to invite Democrats into the primary campaign, Mississippi conservatives should turn the table on him and give him a dose of his own medicine.  Yes, this means the Democrat will sit in office for six years, but to quote Hillary Clinton, “what difference does it make?”  You now have a six-term RINO running for a seventh term who is firmly in Haley Barbour’s and Karl Rove’s pocket.  This November, for much the same reasons, I am voting for anybody but the RINO liar John Cornyn(R-TX.)  If we’re going to take our country back, we’ll first need to surrender a few things, and in this case, it means giving up the illusion of a Republican-led Senate that wouldn’t be the least bit conservative anyway.

IRS Scandal Follow-up: The Show Must Go On

Sunday, June 22nd, 2014

…But nobody actually asked Koskinen about the Sonasoft contract. Wonder why?

On Saturday, it was revealed that the IRS has been contracting with Sonasoft for the back-up of emails since 2005, and indeed, looking at Sonasoft’s clients list, listed there is the Internal Revenue Service.  Adding to my list of things about which the Republicans should seek testimony (if they’re serious,) the specific details of the performance requirements of this contract must now be considered.  Undoubtedly, in soliciting bids for back-ups, there must have been a policy for back-ups the bidder must have been prepared to fulfill.  These details would have been dominated by a records retention schedule that would have been designed to comply with statutory minimums. In any event, such a contract would have been carefully vetted for specific performance requirements, the methodology by which performance could be verified, and the chain of responsibility for those on the government side of the contract to make sure performance was fulfilled, or to seek remediation if the requirements were not met.  There would be a schedule of audits of the performance, and there should be no excuse for pretending somebody hadn’t known their specific duties, on either side of the contract. Here’s the point: We very likely have an organized criminal conspiracy, and if the Republicans don’t begin to immediately turn over rocks to find the culprits, the evidence will be destroyed, but that may be precisely what the GOP leadership wants.

People continue to question whether I’ve entered the realm of “tinfoil-hat-wearing” conspiracy kooks, because I doubt the seriousness of the intent of the House Republican leadership in pursuing this scandal.  After all, they ask, why would the Republicans seek to cover the scandal?  Let’s be blunt, shall we?  As long as this scandal has been going on without serious investigation, how much evidence has been destroyed in the interim?  It is true that if there is a cover-up, there will always be some evidence of that, because it’s impossible to completely cover the tracks of what has been done.  Permitting a delay of the investigation would allow the culprits to destroy the evidence so that any crimes perpetrated in the original scandal would be hard to substantiate to the satisfaction of a jury, or an impeachment proceeding, even if the evidence of a cover-up would be harder to conceal.  In the end, however, let us imagine that there had been a few Republicans who had wanted to hammer the TEA Party, like John Boehner, or Mitch McConnell.  They’ve said as much in open contempt for the TEA Party.  By permitting the administration and its lackeys to destroy evidence, the evidence of their own complicity would be hidden too, and all that would remain are the allegations and evidence of a cover-up of something, in which the Republican leadership would not be implicated.  After all, they’ve been conducting an investigation, right?

If this sounds too conspiratorial to you, consider that these are the same people who invented voting for a thing before voting against it.  John Cornyn had no problem voting for cloture on the Senate Amnesty bill last year before coming home to Texas to tell voters he had voted against the final bill, which he had.  He repeated the procedure at the time of the government shutdown last October, again voting to bring the bill for a vote, so that he could vote against it thereby claiming “conservative credentials” all the while have enabled the bill to see the light of day in the first place.  They bank on we voters remaining largely ignorant of their scandalous manipulations, so that a less-than-vigorous investigation wouldn’t provide much of a surprise. By the way, and by way of evidence of the establishment’s thesis in operation, John Cornyn won his primary by pretending to be a conservative while relying on the longterm detachment and ignorance of voters.  Still, roughly forty percent of the Republican electorate in Texas was able to see through his nonsense, but not enough to replace him as our Senator.

My point to you is this: It may be too late to salvage the data, because this has been left withering on the vine for much too long.  The list of particulars I provided yesterday should have been exercised more than two years ago, and it should have been done with vigor.  If there is no active complicity by Republican leadership, there is at least gross incompetence verging on the criminally negligent.  Are we to believe that none of the people in leadership had any idea, and that none of their staff had any idea how to approach such a scandal?  Are we to believe they had no access to any person with sufficient technical understanding who would have apprised them of the sort of things that would need to have been done to “disappear” such data?  Are we to believe that those who were conducting the preliminary investigations on behalf of House committees could not imagine to immediately contact people specializing in data recovery?  Why has it taken until yesterday to discover that the IRS had contracted with Sonasoft?  What were these investigators investigating?  Didn’t they look at the IT expenditures and contracts of the IRS for clues?  You see, once you consider all of this, it’s easier to understand how an observer could reasonably conclude that the Republicans didn’t want to investigate, and having been forced into it by public pressure, have done a half-hearted job of it.

How can we be nearly three years into this investigation, and we’re only now finding there had been a back-up company contracted?  I will not be surprised to learn that the IRS contract with Sonasoft required them to hold emails for a period of only three years, so that by now, Lois Lerner’s emails have fallen off the archive due to age.  A serious investigation would have immediately discovered the existence of a contract with Sonasoft, and those records could have been pulled three years ago.  What will we get as a result?  At best, some underlings who were a part of the cover-up will be burned, but the chain of command to the top will be obfuscated, and then we will get some dog-and-pony IRS Reform bill that will require the agency from this date forward to maintain all emails for ten years, or some such thing.  Then it will all go away, and the original participants in the scandal of targeting TEA Party groups and their members will be forgotten, and life will go on in Washington DC, with we being the only victims, now poorer and less free, and deprived of justice.

The questions I’ve posed over the last thirty-six hours are the sort I would expect of a serious investigation.  To date, we’ve had a lot of finger-waggling by Republicans asking questions of witnesses, but we’ve gotten no meat from these bones.  Certainly, it does not help that we have a Department of Justice that is led by a crook and crony, and it does not help that the media covers everything up on behalf of this administration, but if the Republicans had been serious about getting to the bottom of this scandal, they would have taken significantly more exhaustive steps by now, but to date, all they’ve done is generate ominous soundbites that tend to feed the red-meat aspects of politics, yet have resulted in no arrests, no indictments, and no justice.  In three years?  This scandal is well on its way to becoming a cold case, and that’s just how Washington DC likes it.

Update: The Daily Caller reports that the IRS cancelled its Sonasoft contract only weeks after Lois Lerner’s hard-drive “crash.”

House Leadership Plotting GOP Defeat

Sunday, April 27th, 2014

Welcome Aboard!

They intend to shove an immigration bill through the House this summer.  They’re aiming for August, with the intention of pushing this through while the nation is busy with summer vacations and the return of  its children to school. It’s diabolical to the degree that I now believe John Boehner and Eric Cantor are simply wolves wearing wool. Years ago, I asked my readers to consider whether Obama was merely incompetent, or instead a malevolent actor who was following a script of purposeful destruction.  Now I ask you to consider: Can this be coincidental?  Can the efforts of House Republican leadership to shove amnesty down our throats be the result of simple incompetence, or is it the result of a malevolent takeover of the Republican Party in Washington DC by people who are effectively in league with the Democrats and their nonstop neo-socio-fascist push?  Now, even a Washington Post article questions the foolishness of an immigration bill from a Republican perspective, so that we must ask ourselves: How do we defeat the Republican leadership without removing the majority conservative caucus from power?

According to the article, precisely what I have suspected is likely to come true: With a vast number of new citizens who will mostly be Democrats, Texas (and several others) may well turn from “red states” to “blue states. From the article:

“If many of the Hispanic non-citizens across the country became voting eligible citizens through immigration reform, some of those states become much more interesting politically. Take Texas, where only 22 percent of voters were Hispanic, but they make up 37 percent of the total population of the state. The pattern is similar in Arizona, where 17 percent of voters were Hispanic but they accounted for 29 percent of the total population. “

This shouldn’t be difficult to translate into political ramifications: Republicans won’t be able to win in Texas, Arizona, and any number of border states, no longer being Republican strongholds, and instead at best becoming slightly purple-tinted blue states.

Under that regime, it will be impossible to elect a Republican, never mind a conservative, to the presidency, and it will become increasingly impossible to elect a conservative House, much less a Senate.  This will be the end of any and all hope to stop the growth of the Federal Government, and it will mean diminishing liberty and prosperity for all Americans.

We’re taught by polite society not to question peoples’ motives, and to avoid guessing at them, but one can scarcely look at the current Republican leadership without asking this question repeatedly: “Why?”

It would be easy enough to believe that they’re merely incompetent simpletons, reacting precipitously to what they see as a demographic inevitability, but as the Washington Post article reveals, they will simply speed up the process, making no ground against the actual problem.  Indeed, they will almost certainly seal their own fate.  One thing we must acknowledge from the outset is that they are not conservatives.  Neither Boehner nor Cantor; McCarthy nor McMorris Rodgers; McConnell nor Cornyn; none of these Republicans in leadership in Congress are conservatives in any measurable sense.  They are all party hacks, and they are all leading actual conservatives to utter disaster.  I do not believe it is possible to conclude that they are accidental actors who simply don’t know any better.  Indeed, the coordination of their efforts on other matters, like the debt ceiling, and like the budget negotiations suggests to me that rather than being a “loyal opposition,” they are indeed colluding with Democrats to advance the neo-socio-fascist agenda.

After all, when Democrats in the house in 2010 “deemed the bill passed,” enacting Obama-care, a law with vast new taxing authority, who among the “Republican leadership” protested the fact that all bills levying taxes must originate in the House?  Where were they?  Boehner put on a show of choked-up, crying  but resolute resistance, yet that “resistance” has turned out to be all howl but no fangs, expressed in pointless show-votes of repeal, but never implemented in an actual showdown with the Senate and White House.  Is this leadership committed to turning aside rampant statism?

No, ladies and gentlemen, this leadership is worse than any Neville Chamberlain.  These are Quislings, all of them, and the singular question that falls to us is how to defeat them without yielding the republic.  How can we topple these sell-outs without discharging the actual conservatives from a functioning majority in the House?  We are at a crossroads, when we can neither suffer the treacherous leadership of this bunch any longer, nor can we permit ourselves to lose the House.  Both circumstances are disasters, and yet we know that left in charge, these people(and several others, including Ryan in the House and McCain in the Senate) will happily march the Republican Party off an electoral cliff, while simultaneously wrecking the country at large.

I do not hold with others who believe we can make a difference by quietly going about the job of voting.  I think the time is coming when we will need to be in their faces, all day, every day.  Whether it is driven by old-fashioned corruption, or instead by actual ideological concordance with the left, we can no longer tolerate a leadership that is clearly marching us over a cliff.  We can ask why it is that House chairmen, all Republicans, will not demand a select committee to investigate Benghazi, or the IRS scandal, or any other corrupt and criminal action of this administration, but I think the answer is clear: Those now in leadership in the House are captured-by-extortion, bought-and-paid, or deep-cover operatives for the progressive left. If we do not throw off the yoke they’re placing across our shoulders, and soon, we will be forced to bear it until the death of our once-thriving civilization.

Debunking Stupid Ideas in Mainstream Media

Tuesday, December 10th, 2013

Bloviating Zone

Seldom is there a shortage of stupid, insipid, vapid ideas in the mainstream media, but lately, it’s coming from every direction.  I was watching the idiot at 8pm(Eastern) on the diminishing network that is Fox News, when he promoted an upcoming segment featuring Michele Bachmann(R-MN.)  The segment has not yet played, and I’m not really interested in anything this perpetual TV dipstick has to say, so I was not surprised at the vacuous formulation of his segment, based on a recent McClatchy-Marist poll: “Why are the American people still more dis-satisfied with Republicans than Democrats?”  Let me suggest an answer that refuses to evade the obvious, irrespective of what Bachmann may or may not say in response, and howsoever the bloviating 8pm-er may otherwise characterize it.  It’s really a simple math problem, and it’s time we ask goof-balls like O’Reilly to understand mathematics. There is one reason Republicans are doing more poorly in Congressional approval polls, and it is not because they’re not moderate enough.  In fact, it’s just the opposite.

Various surveys tell us that roughly 20-25 percent of the populace considers itself liberal.  As much as 42 percent consider themselves conservative.  The rest  consider themselves mushy moderates and independents.  Let me suggest that we break this up into a simpler math question: If 33 percent of respondents approve of Democrats in Congress, that is roughly equivalent to the number of avowed liberals and a portion of the “moderates” who are simply embarrassed liberals hoping to maintain some semblance of non-partisan cover.  The rest of the country hates the Democrats, including some actual moderates.  Meanwhile, the same 33 percent can be counted on to hate the Republicans. One might then think that since 40-45 percent of the populace considers themselves conservative, Republicans would gain the benefit.  Actually, it’s not like this at all.  You see, since Republicans register around 25 percent approval, let us then admit that the group most likely to be adding to disapproval of Republicans isn’t the moderates, but instead, the conservatives.  42 percent plus 33 percent equals 75 percent.  While I am confident there will be some instances in which this isn’t precisely true, the obvious answer is that the Democrats are disapproved less because their own core constituents support them relentlessly.  In contrast, conservatives who constitute the core of the Republican constituency are as unhappy with Republicans as liberals are. Only squishy moderates like O’Reilly support Republicans.

This is not difficult math, so simple in fact, that even a mindless dolt like O’Reilly should be able to figure it out. The problem is, however, that it’s only easy to see if one is willing to see it.  O’Reilly isn’t willing to see anything that contradicts the DC orthodoxy. When O’Reilly implies that it’s all because Republicans are too immoderate, he’s evading the truth, because it’s not a truth he wants to purvey.  If the Republicans in Congress were interested in getting a better approval rating, they wouldn’t push ridiculous “bi-partisan” budget deals like the one now being offered by Paul Ryan(R-WI) and his Senate counterpart, the estimable Patty Murray(D-WA.) Conservatives are rightly disgusted with this and other deals, and the explicit unwillingness of Congressional Republicans to fight. 42 percent plus 33 percent equals 75 percent. Mathematical wizardry is not required.  All one needs is a commitment to the simple truth, and that’s something Bill O’Reilly plainly lacks.

(Editor’s Note: Apparently, the math escaped Bachmann too, because her explanation turned out to be that the media is against Republicans, which while true, doesn’t answer the heart of the question.)

Obama’s USDA Threatens States With EBT Shutdown – Food Riots To Follow

Wednesday, October 16th, 2013

This dictator isn’t playing around.  Those of you who had thought he was just another typical politician are in for one Hell of a wake-up call.   The following was posted at FreeRepublic, and the original source for the letter was a foodbank’s page on Facebook.  There are other reports in media that seem to verify the letter’s authenticity. If this is a hoax, it’s fooling larger news outlets too.  (Click image for full size view):

Now we know why Republicans are shaking in their shoes. It’s not the usual DC-Beltway cowardice, but an all-encompassing terror campaign against them(and us.)  Barack Obama has pulled out the “Zombie Apocalypse” option from his playbook, and it makes this weekend’s malfunction of EBTs seem like a test, or a demonstration.  This President talks about blackmail, but that’s all he does. Now, he’s threatening to stop EBT deposits for 1 November, 2013, in order to scare Republicans into a deal. He’s threatening riots.  Now you know at least one more part of the hammer he’s using against Republicans.

Obama must go. That’s all there is to it.

Coup d’etat Underway in White House

Tuesday, October 15th, 2013

No Questions!

There it is: Another inflammatory headline from an Internet blogger.  You’ve see hundreds, or even thousands of those.  All of them scream for your attention, and yet most of them offer only meaningless diatribes, or scant details of vague conspiracies about the impending destruction of your nation, or the world.  It’s a normal tactic that the news business has employed throughout history, so not too many people even raise an eyebrow until they see the mushroom clouds any longer.  If that’s your view, and who could blame you, you’ll probably shrug-off this one too.  Before you click through, however, on your way to the next blaring headline, I’d like you to know the facts behind my screeching claim: Barack Obama is threatening to effectively dissolve your US Constitution, and nobody in Washington DC seems inclined to do the first thing about it. The moment for the American people to engage is now, if they value their country. The President is preparing to overthrow the Constitution, and with it, the United States of America.

If you listened to Mark Levin on Tuesday evening, you might get some idea of the threat now posed against this republic.  Barack Obama is sending out his hoodlums in government and media to talk about a “default.”  Let me explain to readers the absolute facts about “default.” The United States government takes in approximately $200 billion in revenues every month.  It must make monthly payments on its debts, including principal and interest, in the amount of roughly $20 billion.  Therefore, it is mathematically impossible for the US government to default at its current level of debt and income because its actual income exceeds its factual, legally-binding obligations.  After the debt obligations are satisfied, the remainder, roughly $190 billion, can be taken and applied to government spending priorities.  Naturally, those priorities include funding the military, veterans, and Social Security.

The only way a default can happen under our current situation is that if the President illegally and unconstitutionally directs the Secretary of the Treasury to withhold payments of debt obligations.  If the President does this, he will be violating the law that binds him, he will be exceeding his constitutional authority, and he will be committing flagrantly an act of economic sabotage and terrorism against the American people.  There is no recourse but for the American people in such a case to oust the President, at first by legal means, and to oust likewise all of those who give him legal shelter.

As it stands, the Republicans in Congress are shaking in their boots.  It is time to face down the dictator, and most of them haven’t the guts.  That’s where your part in this battle for the constitution comes into play.  They must hold.  They must not fold.  They must bring articles of impeachment, or the would-be tyrant must relent.  These are the only viable answers to this dilemma.  Everything else will result in the death of the Republic, either in revolutionary strife or in permanent despotism.

For those of you who clicked into this blog thinking you would read another ludicrous claim, let me assure you that there is nothing remarkable here that the globe has not seen over human history, many hundreds or even thousands of times: We have devolved into a culture and a society that no longer respects the rule of law, and no longer demands its leaders comply with it.  We have arrived at this point because when we should have spoken up in the name of law and in the name of justice, we instead deferred the fight for some future date.  That day is now.  Any further deferment will merely accelerate the collapse.  We must not surrender, we must not give in, and we must make the Republicans fight while they are able, by every means at their disposal.

If they fail, or falter, and if Obama will not blink, there will be only us.  At present, Obama hides behind the trappings of his office and a semi-legitimate claim to authority.  If he exceeds his authority, all bets are off.  His claim to authority is at such a point completely bogus.  We must demand his removal.  We must demand the House draft articles of impeachment for his extra-constitutional actions.  We must demand the Senate try him for his treason.

That’s it.  That’s all there is to this story.  Our republic’s constitution stands on the verge of a coup d’etat, with a President intent upon destroying it, with only the weak-kneed Republicans and us to defend it.  Tonight, as Senators and Representatives dance to Obama’s tune, we must change the music.   We have no choice any longer, because if we lose the constitution, we will have lost everything indespensable on this Earth that was made by men.

How Many Americans Still Don’t Understand: We’re at War

Wednesday, October 9th, 2013

Can there be peace?

Most Americans are too charitably naive to recognize his actions as anything more than business-as-usual, dirty politics, but what this President is doing goes far beyond anything this country has seen previously, exceeding even the thuggery that was rampant under Franklin Roosevelt.  Roosevelt had the good sense to avoid directly “flipping the bird” at the American people, however, even if that was the net effect of his policies.  He certainly wasn’t bold enough to attack American heroes, or to perversely torment the families of US service-members killed in action.  FDR was too careful a politician for that, but the same cannot be said of Barack Obama.  Since the beginning of the partial government shutdown, he’s been conducting a campaign of attacks against treasured American values, while inflicting maximum pain on the most vulnerable. He’s trying to provoke the American people, with one object in mind: He wants a violent reaction from the American people so he can carry out his deadly intentions.  Had you wondered why DHS needed more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition?  Most Americans believe he’s just another politician, but he’s nothing of the sort. The evidence lies not only in his unrepentantly communistic past, but also in the intransigence of his actions.  There will be no negotiations.  This is war, the American people are his enemy, and he knows it.

By all that is good on Earth, Barack Obama should not be president.  He shouldn’t have been elected, and he certainly shouldn’t have been re-elected.  Now that he will never face another election, he’s undertaking to destroy the country more quickly than before, and sadly, there are a few on the Republican side in Washington DC who cannot wait to help him.  I address here the establishment Republicans of the sort who are trying to help Boehner sneak amnesty through while Americans are watching the shutdown fight, including former Vice Presidential candidate and general snake-in-the-grass Paul Ryan(R-WI.) He has been laboring with various Democrats to put that steaming pile of dog excrement over on us while we’re otherwise engaged.  “Watch this hand…” Even at that, however, nothing compares with the provocations being thrown like satchel-charges into the American political arena by Barack Obama. His Defense Secretary, the estimable Chuck Hagel, has ordered a suspension of death benefit payments to families of soldiers killed-in-action on the ludicrous basis that benefits to families aren’t the same as benefits to soldiers.

Hagel is a piece of dirt, but he’s simply doing as Obama orders, and this incident may be the thing that lights the fire, if nothing else will.  You see, in truth, service-members’ families really have no benefits that aren’t tied to and dependent upon the service-member.  This last bit of dishonor has been heaped upon them by the man who claims to be their commander-in-chief, but who hasn’t even the guts to take full credit for it, instead relying on Hagel as the heavy.  Don’t be fooled.  This came from the top, and everything about it reeks of the fly-ridden pestilence that is Barack Obama and his inner circle of reds, pinks, and islamo-fascists.  He’s doing this because he knew it would be an outrage.  He’s doing this because it permits him to deliver one final abuse to the service-members’ memories, and to the families who will forever miss them.  This isn’t merely petulant behavior.  It’s the behavior of a bully picking a fight, because that is his ultimate aim.  Already, the number of people talking about impeachment and about arresting this treasonous president has sky-rocketed, just like he planned it.  Before this is over, he wants the American people to be seething with rage, and by my estimation, this incident will go a long way to achieving that end.

Early in his career as a professional Marxist agitator, one of his former Occidental College room-mates noticed that he had a particular affinity for the notion of a violent communist takeover.  That’s right, Barack Obama was one of those nuts in college, and there’s really no evidence that he ever amended his beliefs.  As his former room-mate points out, there is no “conversion story.”  This is because Obama hasn’t converted, remaining the true-believing Marxist monster he had been trained to become by his mother and Frank Marshall Davis.  This man was raised on a solid diet of anti-American sentiment, ironically rising to occupy the office of the President of the United States, abusing now the people of the country at will.  He meets with his star chamber of leftists, Marxists, and garden variety statists to plot out the means by which to drive the American people to the brink of violence.

On Tuesday, he held a press briefing during which he lied endlessly, mis-characterizing virtually every point, both lying about his congressional adversaries, and his own part in the government shutdown and the debt ceiling affair.  The problem is that more and more Americans are beginning to doubt his credibility, since all the evidence actually runs in the opposite direction: More and more are noticing that President Obama is lying to them.  When combined with the indignities being heaped on our service-members, living and deceased, as well as their families and the millions of veterans in the country, it’s becoming clear that he’s trying to instigate a civil war, and slowly but surely, he is succeeding.  This is why he permitted a pro-amnesty group of illegal immigrants and their supporters to rally on the National Mall Tuesday, while denying veterans access to the same grounds.  He’s trying to provoke a violent reaction, and if he continues on this path, I fear he will get what he wants.

As it is, there already exists a movement of truckers and bikers who intend to raise a ruckus in the nation’s capital.  There are purportedly hundreds of thousands involved, perhaps millions, and some have mentioned arresting members of Congress.  Truth be told, I suspect they’d like to say the same of the President, but don’t dare for fear of the Secret Service.  Either way, I can almost bet dollars to donuts that Obama will un-ass the White House as the bikes and trucks roll into town, perhaps going to Florida for another golf outing or off to Las Vegas despite his own cautionary note about traveling there during his first few weeks in office in early 2009.  Either way, I don’t expect we’ll see much of him in DC at that time.  He and his handlers would never permit him to remain in town with such “riff-raff.”  Besides, if things get out-of-hand, he’ll need to be in a position to strike back.  Hard.

What many Americans may be on the cusp of grasping, perhaps too late, is that Barack Obama really isn’t just another politician.  He’s not Bill Clinton, and he won’t stick his moistened finger in the air to discover the direction of the political winds.  He’s every bit as committed as any jihadist, and similarly convicted of his ultimate victory over the “infidels,” in this case: Americans.  His inner circle is similarly fanatical, and the proof lies in the fact of these obvious attacks on American values.  If he had been listening to political advisers of the typical DC variety, he would not have permitted these incidents because they’re bad politics, as demonstrated by his dramatic decline in job-approval polling numbers over the last week.  The fact that he’s no longer worried enough about politics to do the politically expedient things, or at least avoid the obvious political pitfalls should demonstrate to any observer that this guy is on some kind of a count-down.  He’s like the suicide-bomber holding off the cops because he’s waiting for the timer to expire and the bomb to blow.  He’s hoping his non-negotiating negotiations buy him the time he needs before too many realize what he’s doing.  He’s gambling that you will continue to think he’s an ordinary scum-bag politician, rather than a committed, ideology-driven suicide bomber who is about to detonate your world.  You, Republicans, and not a few in the press continue to assume he’ll come around in due course, which is why he continues to throw these bones of “I’m willing to negotiate” but never does.

It’s the same tactic the jihadists used on 9/11 to immobilize the passengers on the jet-liners.  Only those on Flight 93 figured it out in advance of the end, making a heroic effort to stop the hijackers.  On the first three airliners, passengers knew they were being held by terrorists, but they naively thought there was a negotiation to be had.  The hijackers even played upon this thinking, telling them they would return to the airport until their demands were met.  They couldn’t afford their victims discovering their true aims.  They knew that once the passengers discovered it was fight and perhaps die, or do nothing and surely die, there would be a battle.  Only the people on Flight 93 figured it out in time to make a difference, with better information and a bit more time on their side.  Obama has taken over the controls of our nation, and he doesn’t intend to negotiate about it.  His impending appointment of inflation-diva Janet Yellen should demonstrate his intentions, as she will continue to devalue the dollar through inflation, on the claim that it will create jobs.  The sooner more Americans begin to realize that we now have a president who is at war with the American people, the American system of government, and the greater set of ideals that is America, the sooner we can responsibly do something about it.  Until then, he gets closer and closer to his target, and too many still believe some negotiation is possible.  This is a president whose minions actually made 800-F(1)UCKYO the phone number for his signature program.  Some of you might think it’s a clever joke in poor taste, but instead,  it’s a statement of his intentions.

Will Americans learn only after he collapses the economy?  Will we learn when he uses his powers to starve Americans and deny them care?  Will we learn when he uses troops against Americans?  Drones?  What is it going to take?  Even if Americans finally catch on, how will they react?  Will they give him the violence he desires, as an excuse for greater violence?  Will they realize that their time is running out and that he must go by legal means?  The situation looks every bit as hopeless from my point of view as it must have seemed for the first passenger to realize too late as the airplane began its descent into New York twelve years ago that something was very wrong, and that it didn’t look like an approach to an airport.  The problem is always the same: Our enemies know they’re at war with us, but we never seem to notice until it’s too late.  Obama knows.  His inner circle knows.  Boehner, McConnell, and most of the Congress are oblivious to the danger.  Sadly, so also are far too many passengers on our national plane.  There will at long last come the refrain, probably once again too late to save us:

“Let’s roll.”

By then, we may have been rolled.

Obamahu Akbar!

The End of the United States of America

Preparing to Take Over

Unsure as I am as to how much longer I will be able to maintain this blog, it is my intention to cover a few topics of significant gravity, whatever else may come next.  There are certain things a man must be willing to discuss, whatever the cost, because the cost of silence is infinitely higher. What I will address hereunder is one such subject, dire though its context may be, simply because you should be made aware of it. As you already perceive at an almost instinctual level, we are losing the United States. As many of us have feared for at least the last five years, this will be due neither to an outside attack, nor even to the creeping, rotting decay now consuming our culture. Instead, we may now lose the country to the direct predations of an attack from within, launched by those entrusted with defending it.  This attack is likely to come in the form of the final, functional abolition of our constitution.  The precedents will have been set, and the last of the remaining constitutional checks and balances will have been removed by fiat.  Barack Obama intends to seize vast unconstitutional powers, and we shall see the rise of a dictator in the full blossom of his tyrannical authority.

The final assault on the fabric of our constitution will be launched by constitutional law professors working in concert with an aggressive executive who will with crisis-born pretense impose his dicta upon this nation.  The script is already written.  The pieces are nearly in place.  “Go-time” is drawing near, because this will be his last great opportunity to finally, fundamentally transform this nation into a cesspool of totalitarianism.   Conservatives will call for his impeachment, to no avail, as the US Senate is controlled by his philosophical cohorts.  There will be no undoing this peaceably, whatever some, even those near and dear to us may claim.  I believe the probability is unusually high that we will now witness the final days of the Republic you had known, and this historic human tragedy will be visited upon the people of the United States by Barack Hussein Obama, a criminal now ensconced in the office of the United States Commander-in-Chief, who has previously hinted at his dictatorial inclinations.

Mark Levin has discussed this, even on Thursday, explaining how Barack Obama will make a claim of constitutional authority for which there is no reasonable or valid claim anywhere in its text.  Levin still clings to a thread of hope that somehow, we will at some future date reverse this disastrous, wretched attack on our Republic by restoring it through constitutional process without reference to Washington DC.  If he will have been correct, at some future date, we would find ourselves able to reverse this attack by virtue of constitutional amendments instigated by the states, but such will not be plausible, or even possible, if Barack Obama makes this lethal claim of authority.  For years, leftists have been making the claim that there lies within the fourteenth amendment the authority for a President to ignore the debt ceiling in satisfying the debts of the United States.  While such claims have no rational basis, the amendment itself stating nothing of the sort, and with a Congress composed of sufficient statesmen of both parties in both houses who would oppose it, there might be a chance.  Sadly, we no longer have such a Congress.  The President need not worry about opposition even from the House, where Republican leaders continue to plot the undermining of the country in concert with Barack Obama.

Here’s the segment of Levin’s show in which he discusses the threat posed by Obama’s anti-constitutional plot:

While many of us may have been surprised pleasantly to see Boehner and Cantor standing somewhat more firmly than in recent budget impasses, they are merely playing their assigned roles now.  If Levin’s warning is correct, they will scarcely be relevant to what is about to happen to our Republic.  Barack Obama has been talking-down the stock market, and he’s brought the captains of finance into his offices for discussions.  Wall Street wants the borrowing and printing to continue unabated.  They’re making out like bandits, robbing us blind by paying paltry sums of interest on money being dumped by the wagon-load into the markets.  They want the gravy-train to continue, and the President is willing to let them for now.   You see, like all such men of finance, they have accepted a well-worn lie about the power of capital and the efficacy of money.   They believe money is the source of all power, and that as the cliche goes, it “makes the world go ’round.”   They have certainly adopted happily the notion of the bastardized form of the Golden Rule: “He who has the gold makes the rules.”  The problem is that their thesis is wrong, and in the end, they’re going to learn it.  Money is not a cause, but merely an effect. You see, Barack Obama studied under a different philosophy, one that references directly the most ruthless of his philosophical antecedents, Mao Zedong, who in brevity offered:

“Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.”

The Wall Street types don’t understand this.  Obama understands this too well, having been mentored by radicals Ayers and Davis, who taught him the value of force, and who understood that only violence and its threat actually enforce political power.   The men of high finance are those who have learned that money can buy anything, but their lessons were corrupt.  They believe politicians are always open to bribes, and why wouldn’t they?  What they do not understand is that there exists a class of true believers, some good but many evil, who are not subject to this sort of temptation because of the strength of their beliefs.  I now believe Barack Obama may well be one such man, because his vision for America trumps any number of dollars you might offer him.  Bother now to ask yourselves what sort of historical monsters could not have been tempted from their pursuit of naked power for any amount of wealth, knowing that on their path, they will have access to all the wealth they could ever need.  Attempt to understand by asking of yourself: “How does an unarmed man in the proverbial dark alley bribe a pistol-waving mugger to take only some of his cash?”  This is the question these captains of finance and wizards of stock markets have blinded themselves from seeing.  They still think there’s something to negotiate.  Suffice it to say that by the time Obama is done with them, they will have asked themselves that question, even if much too late to matter.

Ask the Swiss bankers who folded like cheap napkins when Obama’s IRS went demanding account information on Americans.  How many potential opponents were then neutered forevermore?  What do you think that was about, anyway? What do you think Dodd-Frank is about?  Those who couldn’t wait to heap more regulations on the financial industry will soon learn the full impact of that law.  So will the average American when he learns his deposits are subject to be frozen or seized by whim of the chief executive and the Secretary of the Treasury acting at his behest.

All Obama now needs is an excuse, and the Republicans in Congress will give it to him, and he will be justified by all the lunatics who call themselves “constitutional scholars” he has brought along with him.  These will be people who do not need the arm-twisting that was used on John Roberts in order to see things the President’s way on Obama-care.  These are other true-believers.  They see their arguments as being full of the same holes you and I see, but that doesn’t matter so much as the fact that they will make them, insistently, irrespective of all facts, all standards of language, and all legal precedents.  Their only job is to buy Obama the time he will need for the controversy over his intended act(s) to die down, and for Mr. and Mrs. America to return to their football, their NASCAR, their baseball games, their “reality TV,” and the myriad other distractions that will seem more pressing and much less boring than an argument over the President’s constitutional authority or evident lack thereof.  In that moment, the Republic’s death will be imminent.

If the President can concoct any old excuse to ignore his constitutional limitations, no matter how perfectly absurd or patently unreasonable the justification, the constitution will be dead.  Absent the constitution, the Republic will no longer exist, and what you had known as the United States of America might still linger a while, even years, but its fundamental core, and its beating heart will have been stilled even if there is still a dimming signal for a while emitted by its expiring brain.  What will he do?  Clearly, all the evidence exists that he intends at some point to initiate a maneuver by which he will claim an extraordinary authority in the face of a real or concocted emergency from which he will promise to save us all, while driving the final nails in the casket of the Republic.  Worst of all, he is now and has been conspiring to create that crisis.  The time has now arrived for this nestling to take wing.

He has been talking a good deal about how Congress must pay the debts it has previously incurred, but this too is tortured language because Congress hasn’t incurred a debt until it’s borrowed the money.  What he intends is that by the “full faith and credit” clause of the fourteenth amendment, he will simply issue an executive order seizing control of the treasury.  There is some precedent for this, having been done in lesser measure by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1933,  claiming the aegis of a vast emergency “almost as great as that of war,” and using the “Trading With the Enemy Act of 1917” as subsequently amended.  Obama will make the same tyrannical claim, but he is much more self-assured than even Franklin D. Roosevelt, and he intends to carry it to its logical conclusion this time.  He will ignore the legal debt ceiling, claiming the fourteenth amendment compels him to act.  Close attention to the amendment reveals that only Congress is mentioned in that amendment, and there is no mention of additional executive authority.  This is the moment of the trick.  This is where he will step across all constitutional boundaries and forevermore become a dictator, and since he will be largely unopposed, who will object?  Harry Reid?  John Boehner?

What the last week has taught the President is that he is running out of time.  The mood of the country is such that he now rightly expects that on our present course, he will not re-take the House in 2014, and he will be lucky to hold the Senate.  If he loses the Senate, his chances to take such actions will have elapsed, because Congress and the Republicans would be in a position to at least theoretically impeach and remove him from office if he threatened the Republic.  His time is dwindling, and his opportunities to take these steps are expiring as well.  Now may be his last, best hope to finally and irreversibly transform the United States to its fundamental core by wrecking the constitution that had been its beating heart, however bruised and damaged, for these last two-hundred years.  He and those who have helped him obtain office and maintain it are too close, having come too far to let it all slip away now.  Their goal is within reach.  All they need now is to grab it.

As I have explained before, the fourteenth amendment does not authorize the sorts of action Obama is now contemplating, but that some in academia are now exhorting him to exercise.   Today, Mark Levin discussed this article from the leftist Brookings Institute, arguing that the fourteenth amendment is the vehicle by which Obama can traverse all constitutional barriers.  As I wrote last year, citing the fourteenth amendment:

“As to the proposition that the 14th Amendment provides some authority for the President to circumvent Congress, this is a preposterous claim.  The relevant sections of the Fourteenth Amendment states:”

“Section 4. The validity of the public debt of the United States, authorized by law, including debts incurred for payment of pensions and bounties for services in suppressing insurrection or rebellion, shall not be questioned. But neither the United States nor any State shall assume or pay any debt or obligation incurred in aid of insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or any claim for the loss or emancipation of any slave; but all such debts, obligations and claims shall be held illegal and void.”

“Section 5. The Congress shall have power to enforce, by appropriate legislation, the provisions of this article”

“Notice that section 4 was intended to deal specifically with war debt accrued by the Union in fighting against the Confederacy during the civil war.  The leftists who advocate on behalf of section 4 as a proscription against a debt ceiling are lunatics.  It not only requires the setting aside of the context of the amendment, but also ignoring the subsequent section, that specifically empowers Congress to enact legislation pursuant to this amendment.”

We need  not wonder any longer as to whether this amendment provides an actual constitutional basis for the actions Obama now contemplates.  Flatly, it does not, and only the sort of tortured mind that labors in the basement of the Brookings Institute in devoted service to all things statist could imagine otherwise.

I relate this information not to frighten readers, but in order to arm them with the facts.  The media will launch endless arguments if Obama should attempt this, and they will, along with academia, conspire to provide him the needed delay.  Mark Levin still expresses the opinion that his prescription, using Article V of the US Constitution to amend it without the cooperation of Congress, and one must certainly give him all due credit for bringing that strategy to life, and we must try it, but I fear that Dr. Levin is grasping at straws in light of this development.  What evidence exist to suggest that this or any Congress would act to obey Article V of the US Constitution. (By some counts, Congress has already received sufficient petitions from states to recognize a convention of the states.) If Obama attempts this, and Congress and the courts permit him to get away with it, the constitution will be dead.  At that point, Article V is most probably moot, along with the rest of our founding document, and the supreme law of the land will have shifted indefinitely (and probably permanently) from that noble piece of aged parchment to the whim and will of Barack Hussein Obama. Game over.

You may wonder how he will justify all of this, but you need only let your imagination expand to the limits of what this malignant narcissist sees as his mandate and his authority.  He is conspiring even now to collapse the US economy, which is why he now speaks specifically of “economic collapse.” This is why he’s going out of his way to scare the fire out of Wall Street.  He and his friend Ben Bernanke have built the biggest bubble in the history of man, and he intends to burst it.  Even before Labor Day this year,  the price of gasoline had begun to fall.  It’s still falling, and in the main, this is because general demand is low as the economy remains barely above water.  To the degree the economy remains afloat at all, it is riding on an over-inflated life-preserver made up of borrowed money, leveraged assets, and consumer credit stretched to the breaking-point.  College student loans now represent trillions of dollars of debt, since the government took over the administration of Federally-Guaranteed student loans.  How hard do you really think Obama will need to work in order to explode the entire US economy by the 17th of October, when we reach the legal debt ceiling(which we’ve already actually surpassed, illegally?) That good old debt clock to which only a few Americans pay even scant attention has been frozen in place for more than four months.  Do you really believe they haven’t exceeded it?

Obama was never going to negotiate with the Republicans.  If they had passed a “clean” continuing resolution, he’d have concocted some reason to reject it with Harry Reid’s help in the Senate.  Of course, at this late date, the Republicans would be foolish to do anything but stand fast, or risk losing such credibility as circumstances have afforded them.  At this point, all they can do is press for maximum advantage, while trying to arouse popular sentiment against the President so long as they are able.  Once before in our history, the financiers conspired with a president to set us on a similar course in justification of all he would thereafter do, but now we have a president who has set them up, and he’ll be using them for his purposes in a manner that the likes of Chairman Mao would approve.

By undertaking this approach, Barack Obama is signaling that he is ready to go for it all.  In this moment of national turmoil, we will emerge either as a dictatorship with a smiley-face concealing big government’s scowl like a putrid death-mask, or we will find we had somehow prevailed and the President will become the longest serving lame duck in our nation’s history.  This will be for all the marbles.  It is at this point that we must reconsider that great intellectual benefactor of the Republic who urges us to follow the path laid down in Article V to reforge our Republic.  Dr. Levin educates as much as any in the public eye, and his breadth and depth of knowledge on the subject of constitutional law knows few bounds.  Still, in light of Obama’s presumed aggressive strategy against the Republic, one wonders if an Article V undertaking would gain any traction so long as we suffer under an Executive that willingly denies, ignores, and tramples the constitution.  What good would it be if the United States government would refuse to recognize amendments instigated by a convention of the states and subsequently ratified by them?

At long-winded last comes the danger:  If Obama undertakes this strategy as some now urge, and others now dread, our President will be in open insurrection against the Republic.  He will be acting in clear opposition to the plain language of the supreme law of the land.  At stake will be the question: “What is the supreme law of the land? The constitution, or the contrived edicts of Obama?”  If the latter is permitted to stand, the United States of America will have perished.  I have no hope that a popular majority of Americans now possess and will maintain sufficient outrage to compel a presidential retrenchment, else Obama-care would never have become law, much less seen its first days of implementation.  This begs the question I would not now ask you to answer aloud: “What are you prepared to do?”  Civil disobedience?  What?  Don’t answer this in words, but instead ponder the question, and decide for yourselves now what your answer will be when it comes to the real asking.

If Barack Obama is permitted to abscond with our constitution and its checks on his power, we might just as well bulldoze that memorial our aged heroes have visited, for its very meaning – their meaning – will have been lost along with the proposition that ours is a nation of laws but not men.  This is what Barack Obama seeks most to overturn, and with it, to bear forth that most fundamental transformation with which he’s been threatening a nation and her people.  At present, the best the American people can hope is to dissuade him from that course by open chastisement and vocal disapproval.  The time may be drawing near when we will be compelled by events to answer that most dangerous question, and with its answer, to decide in finality whether we will remain a free people or submit to a brutal despotism of historic proportions.  The choice remains yours.

For now…

Penetrating the Beltway Bubble: Republicans Should Notice They’re Winning

Thursday, October 3rd, 2013

What he really thinks…

It’s rather novel these days to see Republicans standing and fighting for the American people.  They always claim to agree with us, but over the last several years, it has seemed that they would start a fight, ask us to man the ramparts, and then sneak out through the secret passage in the back of the keep.  This time is different, and while I am wary of potential pitfalls, as should you be, I sense that the Republicans are discovering much to their happy amazement that Americans are supporting them in this battle over the continuing resolution and Obama-care.   What the House Republicans and not a few Republican Senators need is to get their heads out of the Washington DC murk.  In the nation’s capital, there’s little chance they’ll get a sense of sentiment throughout the country.  They hear and see the mainstream media memes, assuming what they’re hearing is actually representative of the country at large, but it’s not even close.  Republicans in Washington DC must recognize that by adhering to their principles and promises, they are going a long way to influence this fight, and the American people outside the DC bubble know what’s going on.  The Democrats know too, because the media is on their side, but back in their districts and states, they’re catching Hell.  If the Republicans will hang tough and simply do the right thing, the American people will join with them in greater numbers to beat back the Democrats.

The sad fact is that Democrats know too well how badly this is going against them, despite the mainstream media’s attempts to re-write facts in favor of Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and the whole DC mob.  Meanwhile, Republicans do not understand that the whole media picture is being aimed at influencing them.  The beltway bubble doesn’t want to divulge what the average American thinks about Obama-care or the shutdown.  Instead, it’s all about pressuring the Republicans and creating an environment in which the Republicans feel so thoroughly set-upon that they will crumble.  Of course, we have a few bone-headed Republicans who have bought into this, but the truth is that we don’t need them anyway.  Republicans should look at what’s going on in their districts, and how the average American out here in fly-over country thinks, and then realize that Obama and Reid are merely fabricating a spectacle with the special effects of the media establishment in order to make them believe they are losing.

This is why over the last twenty-four hours, the Democrats have become so shrill.  They know they are losing, and for a change, more Republicans are seeing through the smokescreen to realize they are winning where it counts: With the American people.   As evidence mounts that Obama-care is an unmitigated catastrophe for the American people and the US economy, Democrats are doing all they can to obscure this behind a torrent of inflammatory verbiage. Naturally, as it turns out, it’s the Democrats who have been losing this debate, and now it has been revealed that the national Obama-care sign up phone number is 1-800-318-2590, or 1-800-(F)(1)(U)(C)(K)(Y)(O).  Do you believe this could have been an accident?  This president has been flipping-the-bird at the American people since he was inaugurated in 2009. How well do you suppose that will go over with the American people?  The President’s “signature legislation” and biggest program can be accessed though a phone number that tells the American people the real nature of Obama-care.  The Democrats are losing, and they know it.

Now is the time in which Republicans must discover that they’re winning by standing against this national tragedy.  They should hear the voices of their constituents, to discover how terrible are the effects of Obama-care.  We must help them understand, because inside the beltway, they’re being hammered mercilessly by Democrats and media that want them to believe that they’ll take the political black eye.  They must stand now, or be finished as a political party, and at this point, they should continue to follow the strategy of sending individual funding bills to the Senate.  If, they buckle, then they will lose, because not only will America at large abandon them, but their own base will turn away in disgust.  This is no time for capitulation.  This is the moment for which much of the country has been waiting these last five years, and if the Republicans lose sight of it now, they will lose forevermore.  The truth is that they’re winning, and all they need to do to achieve victory is to stand their ground.  Now, it’s not only the right thing to do, but the only rational alternative for weak-kneed politicians.  The Democrats are self-destructing, and the more they and their cohorts in the media lie, the more Americans now see through the lies.

Call Your Representative: No Surrender!

Monday, September 30th, 2013

We are at that moment when less-than-courageous politicians will think to waffle, turn back, and avoid a fight.  If we’re to prevent that outcome, it’s going to take some Hell-raising on our part.  Even now, elements within the House of Representatives, in the Republican leadership, are beginning to whisper about capitulation to Obama and Reid.  In the Senate, we already know there exists a group of GOP senators who will be only too glad to put this issue behind them.  It’s going to take a Herculean effort on our part, but we need to buck-up these politicians.  This is, after all, the hard part of their job, and if they won’t stand and be counted in the tough times, who needs them?

Go to the House website.  On that site, you can find your representative, and all the relevant contact info.  Visit their pages on Facebook.  Tweet them.  Email them.  Call them.  The more they hear from you, the more inclined they will be to fight, and the more likely they will be to stand up to leadership if they begin to crumble.  Barack Obama is trying to bully them.  In the end, their own leaders may try to bully them too.  Remind them who it is that had put them in office.  Remind them of their duty. There is no reason Harry Reid should determine what goes on in the House.  Instead of getting tough with conservatives, for a change, John Boehner should be tough on Democrats.  It’s time for them to stand up, even if we will need to hand-hold them through it.

With an Hour to Go Before Vote, Time for Maximum Effort

Friday, September 27th, 2013

I realize some of you will have been burning up the DC phone lines for hours on end, but we simply must not stop. Until the votes are cast, we must tell our Senators often and clearly: Vote “No” on cloture.  This calamity must be stopped, and if we must ruffle some feathers, so be it.  I’m asking all conservatives and libertarians interested in preventing the funding of Obama-care to stand up and be counted and heard.  There’s too much at stake, and the left is always good at shouting loudly.  For once, may we be more determined, more vocal, and more invigorated by the extraordinary efforts we’ve seen this week.  To contact your senators, go to Senate.gov and click your state in the menu on the upper right-hand side of the webpage.  The capitol switchboard phone number is:

202 224 3121

Let us not be fooled into complacency or dejection. We may be doing this again with the House, depending on what happens in the Senate today.  We must make DC listen or risk losing the country to a program that is already devastating the lives of real people, and will ultimately devastate our nation.

It’s not over.

Time for Conservatives to “Go Rogue” on Amnesty Advocates

Our Only Option

Enough is enough. Readers will surely remember how in the summer of 2010, we nearly stopped Obama-care with great turn-out at town-hall events at which we grilled members (of both parties) on the matter of the “Affordable Care Act.”  Members of the House and Senate rose each morning to find new Youtube videos of their colleagues being outed as fools and charlatans.  Since then, many have gone to a system of tele-Townhalls in order to avoid such spectacles, but that shouldn’t stop us.  We need to know where these fence-sitters on immigration will be holding their town-hall events, and we need to know even where amnesty’s open supporters will be taking questions from constituents, even if it’s on the streets going in and out of meeting locations.  We need to show up in order to make a fuss.  No violence.  No foul language.  We’re polite people, but we shouldn’t be push-overs.  Just ask the damning questions and demand answers:

“Given that this legislation is likely to create 20-30 million new US citizens over the next decade, and given that seven in nine new immigrants register and vote Democrat, how do you propose that Republicans will ever have even a chance at future electoral victory?”

“Why do you insist on pretending that the House immigration bill now working its way through committees will be anything other than a Trojan horse for the treasonous Gang-of-Eight bill that has passed the Senate?

“Do you think we’re stupid?”

“What do you expect this bill will do to the American people?”

“Why would you go along with what is essentially a treason against the American worker?”

“What are you being offered or promised to support this treason?”

“If letting in 12-30 million people predominately from Mexico and points South will be good for the American economy, why isn’t their remaining in place good for the economies of their countries of origin?”

“Teen unemployment is over fifty percent this summer.  Unemployment among African Americans is at stunningly high levels.  How does infusing the economy with 12-30 million mostly low-skill workers assist our unemployed fellow-Americans who are struggling to make ends meet?”

“Why does Congress and this President together refuse to enforce the laws on the books today?”

“Why does the compassion and concern of members of Congress extend to illegal immigrants, but not to US Citizens?”

“Can you comment on the political influence of large corporations and unions in pushing this immigration bill?  The US Chamber of Commerce and the AFL-CIO joining forces to help craft the Senate bill can’t possibly be good for America(ns.) What is your position on that bill? I ask, because it seems that House efforts are aimed at passing something so the Senate bill can be substituted in its entirety in conference.”

“Is it true that any House bill that passes could be essentially replaced by House-Senate conferees with the Gang-of-Eight bill?  Yes or no?”

“What is your position on the so-called “Hastert rule?” Do you believe Speaker Boehner will apply that rule to any immigration conference bill? What is likely to happen if he doesn’t?”

I’m sure you can come up with your own, but the simple fact is that these people need to be held to answer for this mess. We know what they’re trying to do, and it’s time we put a stop to it.

If you know where your Congressman is holding a town hall meeting, please post it in comments.  This will help other readers get to the meetings.  I will create a posting with as many of them as readers provide.  We need maximum participation.  What we will need to succeed on this and other issues is to put these men and women who we’ve elected to represent us on the spot.  They need to be able to explain their positions on immigration reform, but more, on the process by which the process will come to a vote.  They need most of all to explain how any House bill won’t become a Trojan horse for the Senate bill.

The truth is that they won’t be able to explain it away, so we must hold their feet to the fire on this issue by demanding they answer the hard questions.

GOP Preparing to Fool Constituents on Immigration

Obama’s Three House Stooges

Now that we’re in August, a time when Congress goes on recess, returning home to hear from their constituents, we grass-roots conservatives have an opportunity.  Somewhere near you, members will probably hold a few town hall meetings.  You need to be there.  Leadership has coached them on the issues of immigration and funding Obama-care, but for the sake of argument, let us prioritize a bit.  The Republican leadership wants to push a bill through the House that will be a head-fake on immigration.  It will promise all sorts of seemingly nifty gimmicks on border control, but you need not be fooled: This is about passing some bill, any bill at all, so that in conference with the Senate, they can shove the Gang-of-Tr8ors bill down our throats.  Our answer to them in their town hall meetings must be plain and simple:  No bill!  Any bill they pass in the House will merely become a vehicle for a Senate bill that will grant amnesty.  They don’t really give a damn about border security, or doing anything about the millions of illegals who have ignored our laws already.  We must stop this process cold, but we must not permit ourselves to be bought-off with phony promises that will never be kept.  When the opportunity arises to tell you House members what you think, don’t miss it, and let them know you will not be fooled.  Your only answer on immigration must be: “Kill the bill.”

They really do believe we are stupid.  Our less-engaged fellow Americans give them plenty of reason to believe this, since they’re often completely distracted by other things, but that’s where we come in.  We must let our fellow citizens know that the two parties in Washington DC are conspiring against them in order to manipulate them into a position in which it appears as though they have supported the laws Congress wishes to enact.  In order to help you understand what lies ahead in the coming weeks, I’ve drawn the process as a flow-chart.  (Click it to see full-size version.)

How they’ll push the bill…

The simple fact is that the bulk of the Republican party in Washington DC wants this bill.  They are doing the bidding of big business, but also the progressive wing of the party that is for all intents and purposes a fifth-column, stealth-mode gaggle of shills for the larger leftist-progressive movement that dominates DC, and the entire media establishment.  These are the elites in the Republican party, and they hate your guts.  In order to trick you, they are preparing to put on a show that will involve pretending to gather your opinions, while hoping you’ll be too busy or distracted to offer them.  They will go through this recess and take up the bill that has been working its way through committees in the House, and move to pass it before or immediately after the Labor Day weekend.  Once passed, the bill will go to conference, and all these promises of border security and combating illegal immigration will be scrapped in favor of the Senate version.  Then it will go back to both chambers for a final vote, where mostly Democrats will support the bill in both Houses.  There is only one way for the American people to win: We must kill any House bill on immigration, even if we are compelled to heckle our own members at town-hall meetings.  This must be defeated.

I cannot repeat this point often enough: The final bill will be passed with a majority of Democrats supporting it.  That’s right, this entire process is being rigged so that it can be passed with only a couple hands-full of Republicans supporting it.  They only need a few RINOs in the Senate, and in the House, they will only need a couple-dozen Republicans of the RINO wing of the party.  The key is to push some bill through the House so they can get it to conference.  Once that’s accomplished, the RINOs can and will do whatever they please. We have discussed ad nauseum all the reasons the “immigration reforms” being pushed by the DC establishment is horrible for the country, but the most important consideration for you is this:  It’s their attempt to permanently negate the conservative wing of the party.  Once they herd 30 million new immigrants into the voting booths, it won’t matter what you think about anything.

This means that our only hope of saving the country begins and ends with the defeat of any immigration bill brought up in the House of representatives. There is no other way around it, and no other way we can expect to bring this plot of the DC statists to an end.  We need maximum participation at such town-hall meetings as Republicans may hold in the coming weeks, and we need to be fearless, loud, and clear: On the issue of immigration, the only acceptable answer is “Kill the Bill.” If we permit them to fool us, we will have missed our last opportunity to begin the process of saving the republic. Any House immigration bill must die.

Spread the word: Kill the bill, or let it kill the republic.
