What The United States Must and Mustn’t Do

The new Red Line we must draw and enforce

I’ve listened with a great deal of patience and forbearance as various people in media and government have made the case for increasing US involvement in Ukraine.  I thoroughly understand the moral impetus that the suffering of the Ukrainian people invokes, and I also understand better than most of these commentators the potential costs of an expansionist Russia.  In 1985, I faced the satellite states of the USSR across the border frontier of walls, fences, minefields, razor wire, machine-guns, sentries, and the ever-present watchful eyes of surveillance from the East.  I was also there in 1989 when the wall came down, and in my estimation, West Germany too quickly embarked on the path to re-unification with their Eastern kin.  I watched in stunned silence as Western politicians ignored the potential dangers of unilateral disarmament in pursuit of phantom “peace dividends” through the 1990s.  I watched as these same leaders launched an assault on Yugoslavia under the banner of “peace-keeping” whilst pretending Slobodan Milosevic was Adolph Hitler, and enforcing a partitioning of that country, creating new states out of the remains of that nation.  I watched as the post-9/11 United States carried on one war, and launched another in pursuit of Weapons of Mass Destruction.  All of this I’ve watched, but never has any member of our government answered any of my questions or listened to my complaints.  Instead, they ruled without reference to the opinions or desires of the American people, but now they’ve placed us to be in position to fight a war potentially worse than any of us have ever known.  They are making their case using our emotions against us, but I’m having none of it.  If there’s something the American government must do, I can tell you what it should do, but also what it mustn’t do.  The answer to their current taste for war must be a resounding “no.”  Instead, if we believe the intentions of Russia to expand Westward are genuine, we must draw a new red line, but this time, we must prepare to enforce it.

Ukraine is not a member of NATO, and it doesn’t have any particular treaty obligations from or to the United States.  Like every other American, I look at the imagery coming out of Ukraine, and I feel badly for the position in which the people of Ukraine now find themselves.  On the other hand, Ukraine is not formally our ally, and despite the fact that our leaders over the last two decades have used our wealth to get them to carry out policies in their country that our corrupt leaders may have liked, they are not entitled to the defense of their country by the people of the United States.  It’s really as simple as that.  Ukraine is not a vital strategic interest for the United States.  For Ukraine, that’s the unfortunate truth.  All the rest is kaffee klatsch nonsense.

For those on the other side of this debate who claim that Russia is intent on expansionist designs, and that they should be stopped in Ukraine, I must dispute their assertion.  The answer for NATO, if we believe that Putin is building a new and improved Soviet State is not to defend Ukraine, which is now effectively lost, but is instead to begin building our defenses in the neighboring NATO states, to an extent and with a fervor that Vladimir Putin would never dream of crossing a new line that we should make unmistakably and indelibly red.  NATO has already shown itself to be unable and unwilling to defend much of anything, and it has fallen into disrepair on a scale that would be embarrassing if their leaders had any sort of conscience at all.  If you want to stand Putin down and limit his expansionism, then the way to do it is to immediately require all members of NATO to contribute four percent of their GDPs to the alliance, which would be a doubling of their current commitment that many are not now meeting.  Other defense spending should not be counted in that number.  When Germany, the United Kingdom, Canada, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Poland, and all the smaller members of NATO along with the United States begin such a campaign to strengthen their defenses, training-up their forces, and conducting large joint-force training missions on a theatre-wide scale, it is very likely that Putin will stay put and go Westward no further.

Missile defense in the West must become a thorough priority.  The securing of shipping lanes and air-transport routes must become the norm instead of the exception.  We ought to be ramping-up a cold-war style notion of isolating the Russians, but also the Chinese Communists in Beijing, in precisely the same way we had done during the Cold War.  Yes, if we believe there is a real threat of expansionism on the part of Russia, then we must take the same sorts of steps that we had done for nearly one-half century.  This is not irrational, because if the threat is real, then this is the way we will ultimately be required to answer it in any case.  We cannot simply insert ourselves into the battle space of Ukraine, at this late date, expecting anything but the worst possible outcomes.  Russia may not be the Soviet Union, but it is still a lethal potential adversary, and its strategic nuclear arms have few parallels.

If the United States or one of its NATO allies, acting as proxies, should instigate a war with Russia through clear involvement in Ukraine, it would be an invitation to a catastrophe far worse than the one now playing-out on the ground in Ukraine.  Volodymyr Zelenskiy complained bitterly that this is all simply rhetoric, and that rhetoric cannot save his country.  It’s a very tardy realization from a man who’s been accepting rhetorical flurries as assurances from Western leaders, particularly from the United States.  He should have realized while conducting offensive operations against ethnic Russians in the Eastern provinces of his country, that at some point, as his government continued to poke the bear, the Russians were going to enter to find out if Washington DC’s substance matched its bellicose assurances to Kiev.  Those assurances were as empty as the treaty he had failed to obtain.  He should have sought admission to NATO after stabilizing the situation in the Eastern provinces.  Instead, at Washington DC’s invitation, he pursued a quick-and-dirty admission into NATO, like the con-artists who tries to purchase an insurance policy to protect his car after he’s wrecked it.  Seeing this coming, thanks to Biden’s administration placing this knowledge into the pipeline of intelligence through Beijing, Putin didn’t wait any longer.  Europe too has told him, via the European Union, that Ukraine won’t be permitted under current circumstances to enter that body.  He’s been cut loose.

Zelenskiy is running out of negotiating time.  Once Kiev falls under sustained attack, I believe Putin will close that window.  Even now, it will be Putin’s intent to encircle that city and cut it off from reinforcements and relief.   Once that’s complete, Zelenskiy’s bargaining chips will be few.  The best he might now obtain is to come to terms with Putin’s basic demands that Ukraine recognize Crimea as part of Russia, recognize Dunetsk and Luhansk, and basically write neutrality into the Ukrainian constitution.  In the longer term, I expect Putin to grab everything East of the Dnieper River.  I now believe Zelenskiy’s best remaining option may look like the orange line in the map below, yielding most of the territory East of the Dnieper, but it doesn’t change the fact that NATO must draw a strong red line if there’s any evidence at all that Putin’s expansionist ambitions are real:

This may be the best Zelenskiy can do

Those who shriek against this notion are relying too heavily on emotion, and too little on logic.  It’s undeniably the case that Ukraine has been sacrificed by the Biden administration.  The sensible thing for Zelenskiy to do now may in fact be to sue for peace and meet Putin’s terms.  It’s a terrible blow, but he must also be circumspect.  If he drags this out, it will be the innocents who suffer.  Putin should suffer for his actions, but in truth, so should the monsters in Beijing and in Washington DC who have enabled him.  Others in the region should think a great deal about this map, and particularly the red line I’ve drawn. If Russia is really bent on expansionism, every state west of that line, from Estonia in the North to Moldova in the South must take it very seriously.  If Russian intent is really to expand once again, then no nation West of that line should take the matter lightly. There were reports on Friday evening that Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett had advised Zelenskiy to accept Putin’s terms.  This is not a message from Israel, so much as it’s a message from Washington DC.

As for people to be taken lightly, now comes the DC war-crowd of people who are Republicans and fancy themselves “hawks.” This list includes a number of Washington Republicans who do their best to keep their swampiness on the down-low in campaign seasons.  They’re in favor of providing additional air-power to Ukraine, at least insofar as they want the Polish Mig-29s transferred to Ukraine, along with air-defense missiles and other air combat related resources.  These people are stepping directly up to the line, spitting across it, and daring Putin to spit in return.  Here’s the letter:

2022-03-10-senate-republicans-ukraine-letter-to-biden

This foolishness is the sound of morons stomping their feet in order to satisfy that segment of their respective electorates who think with uninspired and imprudent simplicity that “something must be done.”  Of course, it’s mostly nonsense, but to the degree there is anything serious about it, the Biden administration will likely do nothing to pursue meeting their demands, so that in the end, they’ll be off the hook with a “Well, we tried.”  The rest of the electorate, who opposes the war, either won’t see it or will forgive it when faced with electing a Democrat instead.  It’s that thing which is preferred widely in Washington DC:  A cynical but safe play. It’s another fan-dance.

The real answer to all of this is that there’s no reason of merit to send Americans into war in Ukraine, whether over land, by sea, or in the air, and no reason to militarily poke the bear.  It could be argued at this point that providing additional aid to Ukraine merely forestalls the inevitable, or even worsens what will be the ultimate death toll.  I’m not suggesting that Ukraine surrender, but their options are expiring.  Ukraine must make the best decisions for their own country that they’re able, but with every passing hour, the moment in which their leadership is deposed by warfare accelerates.  Zelenskiy may be a personally brave man, not fearing for his own life, but surely he’s not so motivated by bravado that he doesn’t understand his actual predicament.  The West is not coming.  They’ll be just as happy if the Russians take the place over entirely, disappearing Zelenskiy into a gulag or worse.  They simply have too much dirt to hide, so that placing it out of reach and under Russian control is simply too inviting a prospect to ignore.  Who more than Joe Biden himself hopes that Ukraine will simply go away?  Hillary Clinton?

The other question about the notion of American involvement in any conflict under current leadership comes down to a serious matter that we’re confronting daily, and will continue to confront us until Joe Biden is hauled out of office, whether by election results, impeachment, indictment or by an undertaker.  It’s one thing to have a figurehead reshuffling papers and executive orders, carrying out bureaucratic tragedies, but it’s something else again to have him conducting a war.  Troops in the field need to have confidence that their chain of command is complete, in good order, and of sound mind (politics aside,) but it’s entirely clear that this man is not capable of wartime command.  Frankly, neither is Kamala, nor is Barack Obama who is orchestrating all of this from his various bunkers and basements, whether in the Martha’s Vineyard, in DC, Hawaii or some billionaire’s yacht.  There is no situation under which the United States should seek combat of any kind while this man remains in power.  He’s simply not capable of it, and as a largely illegitimate president(one can claim otherwise, but that makes of them a liar or a dolt,) who has great difficulty conducting a press conference, there’s no situation in which he should be commanding the Armed Forces of the United States in time of war.  To send troops into harm’s way under such a commander-in-chief is an abominable idea, and I thoroughly condemn the advocacy of any notion to the contrary.  Only in such circumstance as the United States comes under direct attack should this man be in command of anything, and should it come to that, may God (or whomever you may worship) have mercy on your soul.

If we believe the threat of Russian expansionism is real, then we must begin immediately to act to stop it.  Our opposition must be relentless: We must arm the West as though we intend to actually fight to stop it, and we must remember that China and Iran must be included in any containment strategy.  These are every bit as dangerous to our nation and our way of life as Russia, and we mustn’t make any pretense to the contrary.  Even now, China is warning that the US shouldn’t seek to create a NATO-like organization in the Western Pacific, but that is precisely what we should be doing.  We should be getting together with South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Taiwan for exactly those purposes.  In Europe, our red line must now become bold, but it must be drawn along Ukraine’s Western border.  Moldova, which has applied reportedly for membership in the EU ought to be offered the umbrella of NATO if the other members can now agree, and their Eastern border must be muscled-up as soon as possible.  Their time is already running-out, if expansion of Russia is the goal.  The fact that we’re not now looking ahead as to how we can strengthen NATO makes me question the claims of worry over Russian expansionism.  After all, if we really believe this is the intention of Russia, then we should be acting as though Moldova is the next step.  It should also be the case that if we believe that this is what Russia intends, we must immediately withdraw from negotiations with Iran in which Russia is acting as a deal broker.

Naturally, I don’t think that there’s any way the Biden administration will withdraw from these talks, just as I don’t believe they intend to stop Russia.  The real Russian Collusion is the Iran deal(JCPoA,) and it is the most important thing(to them) in which the Biden administration has been engaged since the beginning of the administration.  As long as they’re on the hook for that deal, they’re not going to make any real demands to or provocations against Putin’s Russia.  We’re being betrayed by the regime in Washington DC, and this fact more than any should turn Americans away from war on behalf of Ukraine.  Instead, if you want to direct your ire and bellicose denunciations at the real tyrants driving-up your oil prices in ways no other enemy could match, I can tell you their famous address: 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

It’s even on google maps…

The Crisis of Truth in Ukraine

Thursday, March 10th, 2022

What don’t they want us to see?

One of the problems you face in trying to discern what’s going on in Ukraine is the almost complete black-out of facts on the ground.  We’re simply not getting much information, and while we get reports of things that happen, many times, too frequently in fact, these reports are later debunked or revised in such a way as to make what’s really going on very murky and unintelligible.  On Wednesday, there was a report of a maternity ward in a hospital being struck by the Russians.  I’ve heard no follow-up reports, but I don’t consider the story factual until I see some sort of confirmation that it’s real.  We’ve all been burned too many times already in this conflict, by ridiculous fake news, almost all of it either for the Ukrainians, or against the Russians.  “Snake Island,” “Ghost of Kiev,” “I don’t need a ride, I need ammo,” “radiation leaks,” and on and on.  The number of false stories coming out of this conflict, combined with the complete lack of solid information on casualty counts on either side suggests a number of things to me, and all of it is that the gas-lighting is on an epic scale.  There’s no truth in any of this. On Wednesday, Bongino referred to the problem as a “Crisis of Truth.” It’s worse than that. We have a crisis of facts, due to a stunning lack of them.  Do we know the truth?  No.  Can we know the truth?  I don’t know, and I don’t believe anybody else in the West can tell you otherwise.  I’m going to tell you what I think is happening, and what may happen. I’m also going to tell you why I think it’s happening.  These are not facts, but they are educated guesses based on the slim facts we have.

Russia is grinding it out.  Things are not going easily for Russia, but unless something else changes markedly, they’re going to defeat the Ukrainians.  The invaders have all the material, manpower, and technological advantages.  Even Ukraine’s planes are aging Russian models.  Russia largely controls the avenues of approach into Ukraine, except in the most extreme West of the country, but again, the ability to move any substantial amount of supplies or war materials into Ukraine from the West will be severely hampered.  Russia clearly controls the areas along the Black Sea coast, so there’s no material by ship that’s going to make it in.  Even now, it seems the latest disposition maps I’ve seen suggest that Russia is slowly encircling the major cities, and the area East of the Dnieper River seems to be almost entirely in Russian control. Since this region is a majority-Russian-speaking populace, it seems as though Putin may have an increasingly firmer grip. In the far North, we know Putin already shares control of the Chernobyl nuclear plant site with the Ukrainians, just as he does now at the large power plant in the center of the country, the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, located on the Dnieper River.

From the Russian perspective, securing the nuclear sites makes a good deal of sense.  Preventing saboteurs from turning nuclear plants into gargantuan dirty bombs is an important task any invader would be likely to undertake.  One would also expect that if the invaders intended to restore normalcy to an area after pacifying an area, they wouldn’t want to wreck the entire electric infrastructure.  Reports from other areas in the country likewise suggest that the Russian forces may be avoiding unnecessary damage to infrastructure, again suggesting they intend to restore normalcy quickly rather than over decades. This very much flies in the face of the narrative that Putin is a mad-dog wild-man intent upon razing Ukraine utterly to the ground.

Reports now suggest that upwards of two million Ukrainians have fled the country, most for refuge in Poland.  Ukraine forces are under-equipped, and highly demoralized.  Worse, some portion of their forces may have been encircled or nearly encircled in the Eastern section of the country.  On the other hand, the Ukrainians are fighting a defensive war, which means they have the advantage on the turf they still hold.

The issue that came to a head on Wednesday is the matter of biolabs in Ukraine.  There had been a fair amount of rumor-mill level information circulating around the Internet that suggested there were bio-warfare labs in Ukraine, and that Putin was going after them.  Let me try to clear the air on this, since certain conservative hosts seem not to grasp any of this material, while others at least recognize the implications: If there are bio-labs in Ukraine that have been handling dangerous pathogens, then Putin will certainly be able to make the claim, a la “Weapons of Mass Destruction” that he had a right to pre-emptively attack Ukraine to reduce/eliminate the threat.  What could the United States possibly say in opposition? “But Bruh, we’re the good guys…

There are those who have claimed, on behalf of the US government, that these labs are of a defensive purpose only, but let me be more honest: If you have the sort of research labs that’s handling Anthrax, you can just as easily weaponize your research products as not.  More, there’s information that one of the labs was collecting genetic material in which they were seeking only white Russian RNA for experimentation.  Why would a lab in Ukraine do that? That doesn’t sound innocent at all, and once you realize that the US Department of Defense was involved, one can’t understate the potentially diabolical nature of such research.  The fact that Victoria Nuland claims they’re now concerned about the disposition of the labs, and imputing a Russian offensive intent to capturing the labs suggests to me there’s something nefarious that has been going on in Ukraine.  Fifteen of these labs throughout Ukraine were being funded by DoD to at least some degree.  If, and I stress the IF, this turns out to be a collection of real biolabs with weaponization capabilities, then Russia has a legitimate claim that the United States was funding bioweapons on their border, and this would make US the bad guys. I cannot tell you how thoroughly disgusted I am with all of this.  These people, who funded the labs with our tax dollars, all of them, each and every one, needs to go to jail if there is any evidence of weaponization and weapons research for several reasons. First, that would violate the 1972/75 Biological Weapons Conventions. Second, it would likely violate US law.  Third, it could be seen as an act of war or certainly provocation of one.

The other thing I’ve been hearing reports from Ukraine include the fact that the Ukrainian forces are making combat emplacements among civilian homes and facilities in order to stymie Russian advances, knowing Russia is attempting to avoid civilian casualties.  The Russians have been making announcements in some areas, warning civilians to stay out of certain areas in which they intend to attack.  If the story of Ukrainian forces sheltering among or placing weapons among civilians turns out to be true, they are guilty of war crimes by using civilians as shields.

As for the role of the United States in the overall crisis, the following has become undeniably clear:

  • They don’t want to stop Putin yet…They may be looking for an opportunity to set-up Putin with a nuclear, biological, or chemical false flag
  • They will not provide Ukraine any significant weapons of self-defense
  • They’re happy to try to goad other NATO members into stepping into provocative territory
  • They want Putin gone, but they still need his help with the Iran deal
  • If they can’t control Zelenskiy themselves, they’ll happily cut him loose to the fate Russians have in store, if they don’t whack him themselves

One of the other things that’s really beginning to cause my eyebrows to raise is the lack of statistical data on the dead and wounded.  We received reports of incidents here and there, but isn’t it odd that the same media that kept a ticker on dead Americans in Iraq, and deaths and infections from COVID (but only while Trump was in office,) are suddenly disinterested in the statistics? One would think that if it’s all as brutal as we’ve been told, there’d be some sort of, dare I say it, “body count” for either side.  Instead, there’s nothing of the sort.  Given all the coverage of wars I’ve witnessed going all the way back to Vietnam, blaring announcers in grave voices stating the hard and ugly results of war in numerical terms has been a feature for as long as I can remember, until now.  Why should today be different, suddenly?  They ordinarily use these statistics to horrify us and to turn us against whichever war is being prosecuted at the time.  Why are they treating Ukraine differently?  It’s not that I’m a ghoul, but one of the unmistakable evidences of war is the grim reality of the wounded and the dead, and media has been only too willing to show them to us in the past.  I find it highly suspicious that we’re not being shown any of that in the war today.

More and more, as I listen to the coverage, I’ve come to wonder if we’re even given enough information to discern the truth on our own.  Ordinarily, the media gives us just enough to be able to figure out what’s going on, even if they lie entirely about an event’s actual meaning, as is their custom. Now, we get none of this. We get grainy footage, blurred by motion, or static pictures in which nothing is going on, and at most, we’re looking at an aftermath of something, but what happened there and who did it is obscured by time.  What we don’t get is any live footage of ongoing combat. The closest we get is something like an artillery piece, or other long-range or indirect fire weapon firing, with no context about where it’s occurring or what the target of the artillery fire might be.  Where are the media embeds with their satellite up-links?  In the modern context, this “coverage” simply isn’t.  They’ve also cut off all Russian media, so there’s no counterpoint of any kind, and no real-time footage coming from them either. The lack of video of the fighting give me the same feeling I had in the wake of January 6th when the Capitol Police would release little camera footage from among the 14,000 hours they had captured.  Why would you conceal it?

On the Ukrainian side of things, we now have the spectacle of President Zelenskiy accusing the West of doing nothing, which in some ways is definitely true, but what is galling to me is his demands that the West come to his aid.  Here is the spectacle of a beggar waving his fist at those he would have provide him charity.   When asked about the danger of escalation, he remarks that any such dangers are unknown or unknowable, and with that, we should simply ignore the risk.  At least for me, there’s something offensive about a country’s leader telling Americans that they’re to blame, and that he’s not worried about the blowback from any escalation on our country.  It’s just a little bit galling.  We’ve already provided much more support over the years than I would have approved, had I been given a choice. (Of course, that sentiment applies to many more nations than Ukraine.)  Here’s video from an interview by Sky News:

The accusations flying back and forth over the biolabs situation has not abated, and Psaki issued a blanket denial of US involvement in bioweapons labs in Ukraine, and called Russian and Chinese accusations of this “conspiracy theories.’  When Jen Psaki says a narrative is a “conspiracy theory,” you can be virtually certain that the opposite is true:

I think this is made plain, at least in part, by Victoria Nuland’s own remarks to Senator Rubio on Tuesday.  I’ll re-post the video here:

Notice that Nuland says there are concerns that these biological materials could fall into Russian hands?  Why would there be concern if there’s nothing dangerous there, as Psaki later claimed?

The question for Americans is rightly: Who’s lying?  It’s not a question any longer of whether you’re being fed lies.  The question is: Among all the liars involved, which of them is currently lying to you?  Maybe all of them are liars to some degree.  We can’t know, but the very fact that we need to speculate underlines the problem.  I don’t trust any of these people.  As I covered earlier, people I’ve trusted for a long time are now unreliable.  From the point of view of somebody covering this story, it’s a catastrophe.  There’s no way to know anything with certainty, and at least for the moment, it’s being kept that way. This crisis of facts is the underpinning of Bongino’s “Crisis of Truth,” and I see no evidence of the crisis relenting.

The Enemy Is Here

Wednesday, March 9th, 2022

One needn’t go abroad to find our most lethal enemies…

It’s no longer a matter of debate.  The media and the US federal government are now the enemy of the American people.  They’ve colluded to lie to you about virtually everything.  Still more in would-be conservative media have apparently unwittingly walked into the trap, and have added themselves to the media and government propaganda machine.  You’re being scammed.  They created a false narrative about Ukraine.  They created a false narrative even about Putin.  They created a false narrative(still under construction) about their new Iran deal(JCPoAv2.)  All of this is being done without the consent of the American people.  Instead, they punish you in their alleged efforts to punish Putin.  If the American people had an idea what is happening to them, rather than sanctioning Russia or anybody else overseas, the American people would levy sanctions against their own government.  You can go around the world seeking out enemies to conquer, but the truth in 2022 is that if you’re a citizen of the United States, living in America as you always have, your truest and most lethal enemy is inside the DC beltway, and in the high-rises of Manhattan.  Don’t go looking elsewhere for the enemy laying siege to you.  The enemy is here. Their war is against you.

Some number of the American people haven’t been fooled. They get it. They understand that almost nothing they’re being told is true. Consider some of the lies you have been told in just the last few days:

The cause of the inflation and fuel price increases is Ukraine, and Russia’s invasion of it. Is this true?

Retail Gasoline Price Rises since Biden’s Inauguration

While it’s clearly true that we’ve had roughly $0.70 gain in prices since Putin invaded Ukraine, we saw nearly $1.50 in price increases prior to the invasion since Biden was inaugurated but before the invasion. So around sixty-five percent of the price increases in fuels is all on Biden.

You were told that Zelenskiy said “I don’t need a ride, I need ammunition.”  We now know that was a fabrication.

We were told two weeks ago that the idea that there were Bio-Labs handling dangerous antigens in Ukraine with which we had been working was a fabrication and conspiracy theory, but yesterday, we learned that this too was a lie, but worse, they’re going to try to flip the script on Putin and Russia. Victoria Nuland should thank DeepState Little Marco for the assist:

This quote from Victoria Nuland needs to burn into your brain as though from a cattle branding-iron:

“…it is classic Russian technique to blame on the other guy what they’re planning to do themselves.”

This is what the DC Mafia does. We watched them do this to Trump for more than five years.  We’ve seen it repeatedly, and here they are using it on Putin, but also against us.  You should begin to get the idea by now that there’s nothing about which these people in Washington DC won’t lie.  We are the intended targets of the lies, and as I explained yesterday, part of this plot is focused on getting you and your congressional representatives to go along with their new Iran Nuclear Deal, known as JCPoA.  We still don’t know why they are so desperate for this new deal, just as they were desperate for the original. It remains the question of our time. All that can be said with certainty is that they are driving all of this, and that they’re lying to us about every bit of it.

Consider the Polish fighter jets story.  Initially, we were told the government of Poland might be willing to give up their Mig-29s to Ukraine, but immediately, that government came out to say that they would not, because it would be an escalation they would just as soon avoid.  The pressure was put on them to do so, so instead, what the government of Poland did was to say, effectively, “Fine, you want the Mig-29s, we’ll relinquish them to the United States, and fly them to a base in Germany for you, and you can do with them as you will, but we’ll need replacement F-16s.” Our DoD immediately came out to quash this because we apparently don’t now have sufficient F-16s for our own needs, and therefore have none to spare to Poland.  The problem in all of this is that we wanted the government of Poland to provide them directly to Ukraine, but what Poland wisely did was to get the monkey off of their backs and put it on ours, effectively putting the United States in the position to decide whether to escalate this conflict.  Poland wasn’t going to be blamed if an East-West shooting war erupted.  Your own government, the government of the United States, was more than willing to have Poland instigate a shooting war, but the US government doesn’t wish to be seen as instigating it themselves.

I said before that I believe the American people are wising-up to this, and I still believe this is true, but the problem is that they’re awakening too slowly. At this rate, by the time they figure it out, and become resolved to do what must be done, it’s likely to be too late.  Either the DC Mafia will have walked us into a nuclear war, or the economy will be so ravaged that most of us will never recover. Certainly, we have enemies of every description around the globe, but the enemy most lethal to the American people and their way of life resides in Washington DC.  The enemy is here.

The hour is late, yet still I fundamentally place my hope in the good sense of the American people.

Russia Shockingly Accuses US DoD of Operating BioWeapons Labs on its Doorstep in Ukraine

Tuesday, March 8th, 2022

Map of alleged Bio-Labs in Ukraine

Rumors have been circulated widely around the Internet since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine that one of Vladimir Putin’s purposes wat the destruction and removal of alleged bioweapons laboratories across Ukraine. I had initially dismissed this as part of a Russian disinformation campaign being carried out and employed against those predisposed to distrust Washington DC’s motives.  Kyle Becker of beckernews.com ran a story on Monday highlighting what are now claims made by the Russian government that they are uncovering precisely such facilities.  As Becker’s article points out, the Department of Defense admits being engaged with laboratories in Ukraine that handle some very dangerous infectious diseases, including Anthrax, to name one most people will recognize. Some of these sites are published on a map on the US Embassy’s website in Ukraine, seeming to confirm US knowledge of the existence of BioLabs. The Defense Department says its engagement there is part of their Bioweapons Threat Reduction Program, and under that program, they’ve provided assistance in upgrading the labs, allegedly for safety reasons.  Becker notes that Foreign Minister Lavrov’s accusations may indeed be part of a propaganda campaign, but the question remains as to the degree of US involvement and the nature of the ongoing research in these facilities.  It’s clear that Russia intends to play the “WMD” card, but what remains in question is whether these labs actually serve a demilitarized, peaceful purpose, and if Russia is simply seizing upon these labs as justification for their actions in Ukraine.

As Becker observes somewhat wryly, however, “Bioweapons threat reduction” was the same excuse at the heart of our involvement in the Chinese Wuhan Institute of Virology, and we all have some idea of how that turned out. Whether there is any actual fire in this case remains unclear, but there certainly is at least some smoke.  I understand the concept of threat reduction, but I also know the DoD has been known to employ some smokescreens in such matters.  It would be truly ironic and damaging if it turned out that these labs had handled materials and conducted research that could be fit within the general sphere of bioweapons research.  It’s at this point that I would remind readers about the interactions between Rosemont Seneca and EcoHealth Alliance. Could the US be involved in something unseemly in this field in Ukraine?  At this point, I don’t believe we have enough evidence to say with certainty, but as a friend is often heard to remind me about such things, “if there is any doubt, there is no doubt.” It’s a sentiment born more of a general experience with government and politics that takes a pessimistic view of those endeavors and the people engaged in them, but it’s often not far off the mark. In any event, this is an example of why the American people are right to doubt everything they’re being told, whether parties to the war in Ukraine, or by their own government and media.

More Lies: Zelenskiy “Fight is Here” Was Never Said

Monday, March 7th, 2022

Zelenskiy visits rebellion’s front lines in 2019…(AFP)

The propaganda coming from our mainstream media is worse than one might ordinarily imagine.  Yes, we should expect propaganda to come out of both Russia and Ukraine in the middle of war, but we’re smart to give it time to soak before we accept it at face value.  Now it’s been revealed that Volodymyr Zelenskiy never actually said that quote that has been widely attributed to him.  The original source for the quote “The fight is here; I need ammunition, not a ride,” turns out to have been an anonymous “senior American intelligence officer.”  The Washington Post noticed this very thin sourcing, but Summit News did a little more digging. This is what they found.

We’re surrounded by media liars, and people feeding the liars in media. They all have an agenda that isn’t the truth, or your best interests.  We need to be very discerning, and our default setting must be one of intense skepticism.  As I reported earlier, allegedly conservative FoxNews and Newsmax have been caught carrying the DC Mafia’s water, so the number of “trusted” sources of information has rapidly dwindled.  Folks, we need to become the news.  Our own discernment is all that remains to protect us from disinformation, misinformation, fake news, and flat-out lies. As I explained last week, just as politics no longer ends at the water’s edge, neither do the lies.

Crazy People Are Driving Us to Nuclear Catastrophe

Tuesday, March 1st, 2022

This is no longer a game

The theme I’ve been circling these last few days have been about the questions we need to be asking, and for which we should demand immediate and clear answers from our government.  It’s clear that there is an element in Washington DC that desperately wants American intervention in Ukraine, and it’s fair to say that at least to some degree, they have actually engineered and precipitated the events we’re now watching unfold.  I’ve written in the past, quite sedately, that there is a segment of our government in Washington DC, and not a minority, that is composed entirely of people who would be only too happy to wipe all Americans out of existence, to rule over our ashes, if that was what would be necessary to protect their political, personal, and financial interests, as well as to protect them from the sort of exposure and prosecution they’re actually, rightfully due. These people have repeatedly and consistently acted against your interests, the interests of all Americans, while filling their pockets and corrupting the justice system in order to avoid punishment for their crimes.  All you need do is consider what they have in store for you.  Now, they’re watching Putin wreck their base of operations, from which they’ve laundered untold spoils.  They’ve become desperate, so desperate in fact that they’re now contemplating how to provoke a nuclear exchange with the Russian dictator.  They don’t care how many millions of you that they will cause to be wiped from existence, or how many will suffer in the aftermath of their war.  As they gin-up a bunch of fake polls to try to support their war, in an attempt to gain some kind of cover for what they’re planning, it’s time for you to begin speaking-up loudly.  They and their pet media need to hear from you. With no effective government that cares even slightly about our interests, We, the people, are now all we have.

The first question I think we need to address is what we’re willing to risk on behalf of the UniParty’s money laundry.  I realize there are millions of people in Ukraine, and I have great compassion for those among them who are complete innocents in all of this, which is most of them. The question before us, however, is whether we are willing to risk nuclear annihilation on behalf of their freedom.  Do we risk the literal existence of the people of the United States for the freedom of a people to whom we have no treaty obligations whatever.  In general, my thought on this is that it’s rather irresponsible for our leaders to even contemplate risking a nuclear exchange on such a basis.  It’s not a matter of compassion for the Ukrainian people, because if we’re substantially wiped from existence, our compassion won’t mean a whole Hell of a lot.  It’s also not a question of courage.  I can fight men with guns and bombs, and presumably, my government is equipped to fight men in airplanes, but there is absolutely nothing I or any American can do to repel, slow, or otherwise impede an ICBM.  Sure, we probably have some strategic defense capabilities, but it’s unlikely those cover the whole of the country. At best, they’ll protect strategic military and command targets, and perhaps the sprawl of Washington DC, and other places to which our National Command  Authorities would flee in time of strategic missile launch.  For you an I, it’s likely to be a really bad day, but mercifully, for some large number of us, the end would be sudden and quick. Those remaining alive would quickly learn about radiation sickness, blast injuries, horrific burns, and eventually, starvation and a miserable death.  Our government long ago gave up any notion of protecting or preserving any substantial number of the American people in case of such an exchange.  If you managed to survive, and avoid the vast clouds of fallout that would blanket the land, and also had some means of avoiding the ongoing radiological threats, you’ll be hard-pressed to find sufficient food, water, and shelter, and there will be sparse or no electricity at all, and it will be decades before it’s restored.  Prepare yourself to live as the frontiersmen did, with the added adventures of surviving a radiological catastrophe.

The next question we would need to ask is if we were to consider risking this, how serious(or how probable) would this risk be?  What is the chance that Vladimir Putin would launch a nuclear strike against the United States?  If the risk were zero, we’d needn’t bother with this conversation at all. We could go forward with whatever maniacal plans our leaders might formulate, safe in the knowledge that Putin wouldn’t pull the trigger, or that if he did, his “gun” would misfire or be perfectly defended. Naturally, the risk is not zero, but is it a five percent chance, or a seventy percent chance?  The media has been pushing a narrative over the last several days that Putin has become disconnected from reality, and that he’s no longer a rational actor.  Even Bongino made this remark today, effectively parroting the sentiments, inadvertently I’m sure, of Democrat analysts.  Let’s assume for the moment that Putin has gone off the rails, at least for the moment.  Do we really want to push a madman to the brink, and to what extent does that increase the probability that he’d launch.  If he’s truly irrational, and I’m not convinced that he is, such a strike might become inevitable were we to take provocative actions of the sort expressed today by Congressman Eric “FangFang” Swalwell(D-CA), who actually suggested that we should deploy our Air Force to engage Putin in combat over the disputed territory that is Ukraine.  Swalwell is calling for making war on the Russian Air Force, pretending that this is in any way different from sending in the Marines.  Not only is he an immoral wanker with the discernment of a rock, but he’s also a perfectly ignorant buffoon, yet this is the sort of advice that are running our government. (I’ll ignore for the moment that he and his friends stand to get insanely wealthy from all of this, or at least get away with absconding with all he’s already pilfered.) Congressman Adam Kinzinger(R-IL), another sick and compromised swamp demon, has advocated the US enforce a no-fly zone over Ukraine.

On the other hand, if the various assessments of Putin are wrong, and I suspect they may well be, then we face a different sort of risk. (And besides, when has our intelligence ever managed to get anything right? The collapse of the USSR surprised them, for instance. They had no idea that its collapse was imminent. They infamously failed to prevent 9/11.  They were wrong, in the main, about Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. We could go on. And on.)  The problem is that if Putin is perfectly rational(or as rational as a dictator of his general demeaner can be,) then this may be even worse.  He may have established(almost certainly) a set of triggers in his military’s defense policy that will cause certain actions by the West to have certain responses by the Russian military.  If that’s the case, then the point for nuclear launch is already programmed.  This is a serious problem, because while we might guess about what those triggers are, and try to act to avoid them, we’ll never be certain, and if we cross the wrong line in Putin’s national defense strategy, we may ignite a cascade of actions and reactions from which there will be no return.

Tucker Carlson covered some of this on Monday evening, and in this clip, you will see the ravings of lunatic Richard Haass, President of the Council on Foreign Relations.  If you missed it live, as I did, watch this segment:

All of this begs the question: What should the United States of America do?  At present, the overwhelming majority of the American people at once feel compassion for the people of Ukraine, but also do not wish to be dragged into yet another European war, particularly one in which the risks are so high, and the potential upsides for the American people are so vanishingly small.  More importantly, however, I want Americans to think very carefully about this set of facts, the same people pushing us toward a nuclear nightmare are the very people who funded a violent coup in Ukraine in 2014, concocted the entire Russia Hoax begun in 2016, impeached President Trump twice on specious grounds, and effectively conspired with Democrats to steal the election of 2020, and finally to uphold and secure that coup d’etat via the ballot box. That’s who these people are.

Why on Earth would we permit them now to herd us into a third and even more devastating, perhaps apocalyptic world war?  My title suggests that I believe these people are “crazy,” and in one sense they are.  I believe a person has to be mad beyond reckoning to so casually and thoughtless gamble with the lives of hundreds of millions of Americans, never mind the billions of people around the world who would find their world shattered should these people be permitted to carry out their intended war.  What impetus has driven them to this level of madness?  What personal peril must they feel to be willing to risk nuclear war in order to stop Putin?  Putin’s a horrible person, I think we can all roundly agree, and the people of the Ukraine deserve their freedoms, but if the world is engulfed in a nuclear war, what freedoms will they obtain?  What freedoms are possible, beyond the final freedom of the grave? Will there be any graves?  When the US and Russia and everything between becomes a funeral pyre of mushroom clouds, what freedom will we have been fighting to achieve?  What liberty will the slaughtered millions of Ukraine ever come to know?

No. The people advocating this highly irrational course must stop, or if need be, be stopped.  If they proceed on this course, we must not permit this, not by any measure or means, even if we must remove them bodily from their offices to prevent it. They now constitute a reckless danger that means they’re becoming too dangerous to the People and their nation to permit them to carry on in our name.  It is increasingly clear that we are in more danger from the lunatics in the Washington DC establishment than from any threat presently posed by Vladimir Putin.  Clearly, they have either committed crimes already, or other acts for which they seek to avoid any accountability, or they plan future actions that will be equally horrific.  Whichever the case, we cannot afford the prescriptions they now offer, because most of them lead us all invariably to the finality of a sudden and wretched death.  Our president of the United States is clearly incompetent to the office, and while it’s unlikely that his successor will be any better, we must pursue this one step at a time. Biden is clearly incapable of making such decisions, and he’s likely to be guided and steered by the sorts of maniacal loons Carlson discussed in the video above.  We must push for a 25th Amendment removal, but it’s not likely to occur, because those same advisors are the ones who would have to carry it out. At present, they’re able to steer a figurehead.  Why would they give up that sort of power?  If this fails, and it’s likely to, we’re in trouble beyond measure.  Our fates may be controlled by the people who are least concerned with our futures, or if we’re to have one at all.  I’ll leave you to ponder what are choices may come to be, but it’s clear that we must start where we can. We must contact our Senators and Congressmen, and we must make ourselves heard.  These people have managed to make of themselves the most immediately lethal threat to our national security.  They must know that we oppose our involvement, in any way, in the adventures of the maniacs apparently directing our defense policies, and while to be heard, we will need to be courteous, we must also be firm and perhaps terse in our delivery. This is not a campaign we can afford to delay. Time is short, and if these maniacs are permitted to have their way, there may be no way to rescue the situation or our world.

Editor’s Note: My purpose is not to cause undue alarm, and I always struggle with the decision to bring terribly troubling news to my readers. In this case, however, there’s no polite, kind, or subtle manner in which to say that which needs now to be said. I wish it were otherwise. I wish our government was such that they hadn’t engineered this looming catastrophe. I wish it, but wish in one hand… You understand my point.  We must deal with that which is, and I wish you all speed and fortune. I never thought I’d have cause to post such a thing. Whether that made me oblivious or optimistic, I cannot say, but if we should manage to somehow survive this, I shall sincerely hope to have no cause to write such things again. Go in peace, but in haste.

The Biden Bots Go to War (or not)

Biden’s Bot Army Goes to War

An explosion in Tweets today cropped-up, all utilizing the same text. It’s obviously another BOT disinformation campaign, and it’s in support of Biden. If you log into Twitter, and search Twitter for the text “We stand with Biden. If WE have to get drafted for war WE will do it.” (You can click the link to see the search results.) You can see the tweet from @LibsOfTikTok to get an idea.

This is how the left fights its information wars.  Be advised that you should take extreme care before believing anything in this environment of rampant dis/misinformation. The media is entirely unreliable, and the the establishment social media is completely corrupted.

Going to War With the President We’ve Got

Friday, February 25th, 2022

Shall we go to War with the President we’ve got?

Donald Rumsfeld once [in]famously remarked that “As you know, you go to war with the Army you have, not the Army you might want or wish to have at a later time.” This remark was accurate, even though it was widely and wildly criticized by leftists who have no understanding of national defense. The sentiment is easy enough to understand: You do not always get the luxury of preparing endlessly for war. Sometimes, the need to go to war supersedes your ability to abstain from or delay it for more ideal conditions or state of readiness.  Sadly, this is sometimes true of presidents as well. If the United States were to be attacked suddenly by nuclear strikes originating in Russia, for instance, it really wouldn’t matter who the president at the time might be.  That president would be expected to respond with equal or greater ferocity, irrespective of party or politics.  The problem we now face as a country borders on the galactically absurd.  We have in the Oval office a foolish, apparently dementia-addled old man, who is apparently not in good control of his bowel, never mind his mouth or intellectual capacity. He ought to be removed under the 25th amendment, come what may, but the people who’ve been using him as their meat-mask have no intention of seeing that happen.  We are in mortal danger, but under this President, Joe Biden, we cannot risk any unnecessary wars.  It is the height of unconscionable madness to permit it. I realize that sometimes, a country must go to war with the president in charge at the time, but this is not that situation, and I condemn any who would suggest otherwise.  No, we must not now go to war with the president we’ve got.

Ukraine is under attack by a hostile, monstrous actor.  Vladimir Putin is despicable, but he also has the advantage of owning the superior forces over the terrain in question.  It’s not a matter of caring, because any person can look in horror at the Hell Putin now imposes on the people of that stricken nation and understand the misery they now suffer.  It’s a matter of practical reality.  We are in no position to do anything unless our answer is a nuclear first strike against Russia, but that’s an intolerably bad option for all of the obvious reasons.  We have no significant bases nearby from which we could operate the number of air sorties needed to put up any sort of sustained defense of Ukrainian airspace, though it is possible we could park an aircraft carrier battle group in the Black Sea.  That’s an extraordinarily risky proposition when you intend to poke the Russian bear within easy reach of their air assets.  We are poorly positioned, and Putin knows it. He’s been watching and assessing NATO for decades.  He knows our NATO allies have barely maintained their responsibilities in the alliance.  He knows they’ve all been cheating.  He knows they are all incredibly weak, and weakened more by their oppressions of their own populations as part of their COVID responses.  He knows they’ve repressed their own dissidents, and he can legitimately throw the political dagger of “hypocrisy” at them with no trouble.

He also knows that America is now weak, with obviously weak and ineffectual leadership that is more concerned with punishing their own countrymen than in prosecuting a war in a country most of the corrupt US leaders would sooner see destroyed, in part to hide their corruption over decades. Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry and Mitt Romney along with their adult children and many others in the DC cocktail-party circuit would be only too happy if Ukraine’s current leadership came to an obscure and quiet end.  Between 1999-2014, the Clinton foundation carted over $10 million dollars from the oligarchs there.  They’ve used it as their personal piggy-bank for more than two decades, laundering money in and out of that small and easily corrupted country.  Their current president, Volodymyr Zelenskiy, is apparently an actual reformer, and none of them can tolerate that, particularly Putin, who has used it as the base from which to compromise Western politicians, particularly Americans, none of whose names are Trump.

The only question in Washington DC is how to play it for maximum waggage. (As in wag-the-dog.) None of the people now in charge in DC have any intention of rescuing Zelenskiy.  The truth is that they want him gone for all the same reasons Putin does. He can’t have Zelenskiy or his reformer government burning his purchased assets in Washington. It’s better to make it all just go away, and to bury any evidence or witnesses with it.  Others had suggested that the Russian “Invasion of Ukraine” narrative had been an entirely invented story line to give Biden a moment to talk and act tough to distract from the massive failures of his administration, but as facts on the ground now demonstrate, the threat was always very real.  Maintaining an Army in the field is expensive, and the larger the force, the more expensive and difficult it becomes. When it was clear that Putin had more than one-hundred-thousand troops deployed along the borders of Ukraine, it became clear to me that this was more than idle bluffing.

It could be observed that the pronouncements from both the White House and the State Department seemed almost to goad Putin into attacking.  On the one hand, they made threats that all parties knew were idle, while on the other, they openly admitted their inability and unwillingness to do much to stop it. “You’d better not, or we’ll kick your ass, even though we’re in no position to do so, and really don’t have the resolve to do so,” they effectively blustered and admitted at once.

There’s one other issue I’d like to tackle, and it’s with those who seem to be insisting “we MUST do something.” This element doesn’t seem to like that the vast bulk of the American people seem understandably to have no interest in doing much about the situation in Ukraine.  Polls seem to suggest that something like thirty percent of Democrats and twenty percent of Republicans believe the US should have any significant role in Ukraine.  To this element in our country, I suggest they take a look around and smell the crap they’re shoveling.  One, a radio host I have always liked, pointed out for the second consecutive day that after all, ours is a volunteer military, as if that means something to the argument for going to war, and he’s right, it does: A volunteer military requires the people to follow orders just like a conscripted military, with the difference that what makes that volunteer force viable is their understanding that their chain of command will not make frivolous or futile use of them. It’s one of only a couple of times in my history of listening to Mark Levin that I very nearly turned him off. I know there are dolts who have come to believe, inexplicably, that the killer Putin is some sort of good guy in disguise, but I’m not one of those, and Mr. Levin ought to be more careful before he begins to conflate America First patriots with these.

I don’t know what’s in Mr. Levin’s head when he says a thing like that.  I was a volunteer too, when I was fortunate enough to have a great commander-in-chief in President Ronald Reagan.  Neither was he without flaws.  Eight days before I reported for Basic Training, 241 servicemembers – Marines(220), Sailors(18) and Soldiers(3) – were slaughtered in Beirut.  When I went through boot camp, the mostly Vietnam combat veteran drill instructors all believed we were inevitably going to war.  We believed it too.  They drilled us like it, and they trained us with a vigor and intensity prior classes that year probably hadn’t experienced.  They were tough as nails, maybe more than usual, because they believed we trainees would be called upon to go to Lebanon.  That call never came, but I believe to this day that every one of us who graduated that training cycle were beneficiaries, because they more scrupulously got rid of the duds, pushed us to the physical, emotional, and intellectual limits, making us better soldiers.  The point is that President Ronald Reagan did not send in more Marines, Sailors, or Soldiers.  In point of fact, he pulled them out.  When that was the result, I remember that the sentiment in the military community was not all that happy about it.  Nobody wants to see their fellow servicemembers slaughtered, particularly to no purpose, and definitely without punitive response.  At the time, it didn’t sit well, even though it was potentially our necks on the line had Reagan sent more troops instead of withdrawing them.

In the longer run, however, I came to take a more mature view of what Reagan did, or more properly, didn’t do.  He evaluated the terrain, he looked at who we faced, and what the probability would be that more troops would merely make for more concentrated targets, far from home, to be attacked by small groups or individual suicide bombers where the mission was already murky and hadn’t borne the expected fruit. He looked at our allies in the region, and how he might augment and support the mission, and finally decided there wasn’t an attainable military objective that could be reasonably achieved without unreasonable losses.  In short, President Reagan made an entirely rational choice.  He likely wanted retribution against them as much as any of us. He wrote the hundreds of letters to wives and mothers and fathers and children.  He knew the unambiguous costs. Strangely, I would later intersect with Reagan’s foreign policy again, in April 1986, when a Berlin discotheque was bombed, killing US Servicemembers.  It was a strange turn of events that led my unit to serve briefly as replacements in Berlin in September of that year. Reagan did exact a punishment on the bad guys in this case, being Ghaddafi and his ring of terrorist henchmen, within ten days sending a bombing raid to Tripoli that nearly got the “Colonel.”

My point in all of this is that it’s very easy to look at the situation in Ukraine and desire to be able to put a stop to it. The sickening truth is that when we pretended, starting with President George HW Bush, that there was some “peace dividend” to be obtained from the end of the Cold War, it was foolishness, and an instance of utter stupidity that only anti-military pukes like the Clintons could love.  They exploited it, too.  Rather than realizing that the “peace dividend” from the ending of the Cold War was peace itself, we pretended that we could reduce our defense spending.  Adjusting for inflation, to spend at our Cold War defense-spending peak in 1986, a year in which we spent an astounding $295 billion, in today’s dollars, we should be spending roughly $1.2 trillion.  Instead, in 2019, we were spending roughly $740 billion.  At the turn of the century, after two terms of Clinton, we had fallen to $320 billion when we ought to have been closer to $500 billion in inflation-adjusted dollars, and the percentage of GDP expended on our military had fallen from 6.63% in 1986 to 3.11% in 2000.  Even now, we’re only slightly better, at 3.41% of GDP, as of 2019, so that we’re at slightly more than half as much military spending as a percentage of our GDP than we had been in 1986, a time when many, myself included, believe the US Army was at or near its peak in training and morale. (See stats here.)

Europe is far worse. Trump was not only right about European nations’ contributions to NATO, but their underlying defense expenditures are cratering. Since Trump left, they’ve fallen off a cliff, with reports that the German Army couldn’t deploy sufficient forces to repel successfully much of anything.  In short, Europe has left themselves virtually defenseless, with the brief exception of the period of Trump’s presidency, with only new NATO member Poland substantially upholding the promise of expending at least two percent of their national GDP on defense.  The United States has been bearing the burdens of defending Europe for most of a century now, yet we cannot get them to pay to defend themselves, and there is no will under the current administration in Washington DC to hold NATO’s feet to the fire. In 2020, Germany barely attained 1.57% of its GDP in defense spending, and that was after extensive prodding from President Trump. When he took office, the Germans were spending roughly 1.1% on defense.  In short, don’t look to Berlin for help.

This is the realistic assessment of the terrain in Europe: NATO has fallen into severe disrepair, from the end of the Cold War, until Trump came along to prod them beginning in 2017, but has since fallen back into the same rut, with the blame naturally being placed on CoVid19. At this point, the United States should be telling NATO: “That’s it. We’re cutting you off. We’re bringing home our troops unless you get to your spending goals AND make up for all the years of shortfalls within the decade.”

Of course, we’re no more likely to get that from this administration that we are to have a competent president, never mind commander-in-chief. More, this administration is incapable of waging an effective war of any kind, anywhere, at any time. They’ve diverted our military into concerns with all things “woke,” and if you think this is Ronald Reagan’s military of 1986, technology notwithstanding, you need your head examined.  Quickly.  Yes, of course we still have some good war-fighters in our military, but they’re now a pathetic minority within the ranks, and in the officer corps, they’re getting pretty thin as the service academies have been infiltrated by more and more social justice schlock, as modern “education” theories take precedence over what had traditionally worked.  I would like you to watch the first six and one-fourth minutes of this episode of Bannon’s War Room. In those first few minutes, he presents what he calls his “cold open,” and in it are various clips, including three recruiting ads, one for NATO, one for the Russian Army, and one for the US Army.  If you don’t see the problem, again, you need your head examined:

Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve been reporting to you the state of our nation, and more generally, or our globe in one way or another for more than a decade at this web address. While my posts have been more infrequent in recent years, it’s not for a lack of concern.  People are foolishly insisting now that “we must do something,” but look at the state of our country.  I ask them: What would you have us do?  We have feckless leaders, corrupt and intransigent to the suffering and travails of the American people.  We have a military that, but for a brief reprieve under Trump, has been diminished and demolished, it’s morale wrecked along with its ethos.  We have a corrupted Justice Department that behaves as the hitmen for the government mafia.  We have an FBI that actively plots to entrap citizens, in shenanigans of that agency’s complete contrivance and invention.  We have a Department of State that openly plots against elected presidents it does not like, and we have an intelligence community that actively seeks to surveil and undermine a president it did not and would not obey.  We have an opposition party that barely musters any sort of fight against any of this, in large measure because they’re not really opposed.  We have public health officials who collude with big pharma to poison the American people and hide the data. We have whole segments of the population committed to destroying the country from within, including local officials, many bought-off by globalist pigs like Soros and Schwab.  You actually expect, in this condition, and in this state of being, that the remarkably few American people who realize what is going on, to volunteer their children into a war on behalf of this? Of this???

Do not tell me that we must go to war with the President we’ve got. I’m heartbroken at what I’ve seen thus far from Ukraine, like any other compassionate, thoughtful human must be.  I know that Putin’s mission is to exterminate Zelenskiy and his entire cabinet. His intention is to expunge them from the face of the globe.  Worse, the scumbags running Washington DC have every reason to help him do so.  There’s too much evidence of their corruption over in that tiny country.  There’s too much evidence of how they were controlled from the Kremlin. They don’t want to save Zelenskiy or Ukraine.  They want to bury Zelenskiy and his cabinet, they’re willing to burn Ukraine to the ground to do it, and they’re helping Putin carry it out.  Meanwhile, the American economy is spiraling into a stagflationary period that will make the Carter years look like a boom.  (It was once a joke that Jimmy Carter was thankful to Obama, and then Biden(but I repeat myself) for knocking him from the top of the “worst president’s ever” list, but nobody’s really laughing any longer. We’re in freefall, and every sensible person knows it.)

In the midst of all of this, those of you who wish to “do something” need to get a grip on your emotions, and understand what we’re really up against now.  We’re fighting for the survival of this country, right here, right now.  That great wealth or influence might offer insulation to some is no excuse for the indifference in the sentiment contained in the idea that Americans are somehow defective if they don’t wish to rush off to war against Vladimir Putin in Ukraine.  We know it’s another nasty set-up, just like all the ones deployed against us here at home.  We know the score.  We know, because every damned “conspiracy theory” (or most of them) of the last two decades have been proven mostly true.  We know Zelenskiy is the good guy.  We know.  Meanwhile, we listen to buffoons like Lindsey Graham, whose military experience consisted of walking papers around a Judge Advocate General’s office, pontificate about the privations we will suffer due to this crisis.  It’s not enough as it is, you see; Goober would have us suffer more.

Now I have to endure a berating monologue from a radio host I have long supported because I’m in no hurry to see my younger, ill-prepared brethren in uniform sent off to do something somewhere? For what purpose? To what end? For the sake of the need to “do something?” No sir.  I will not support going to war with this class of criminals who run our country. I will not support the spilling of so much as one drop of their blood on behalf of these cretins.  They’ve spent decades demolishing the country, and it’s not just the Democrats, though they’re today the mob bosses in charge.  When we had a president who was not part of their mob, they tried, like the gangsters they are, to take him out in any way that they could.  They used their vast criminal enterprise, posing as lawful suits at the bar of corrupt courts, undermining the integrity of our election, all because Trump had to go.

Years ago, I counseled young people to serve a term of enlistment in the military if their life plans were not firm after finishing high school. I told them it was the best thing they could do for themselves, while also serving their country.  It was true in my time, but it hasn’t been for most of a half-generation.  Even in Trump’s time, the military was already thoroughly undermined from the top, ever since Obama purged the Generals now more than a decade ago.

I truly do feel terribly for the Ukrainian people.  I know that like most ordinary people everywhere, they simply want to be left to live their lives, mostly in peace.  I know their current president is a reformer, and if it were possible, I would try to rescue he and his countrymen from the Russians.  The problem is that it is not currently possible.  More, the people running this country don’t actually want it saved.  I am as powerless to change that today, in the here and now, as any other American.  Shall we overthrow this government so that we can retroactively spend the defense dollars we should have spent, and undo all the stupidity and malfeasances of the last three decades? How will that help Zelenskiy?  More, we didn’t raise a credible effort to overthrow this government when it conspired against the President we elected. We didn’t raise a credible effort to overthrow this government when it obviously conspired with various state and local officials and NGOs to steal our presidential election and elections for lower offices.  It’s not merely Joe and Kamala who are illegitimate. Chuck Schumer is illegitimate in his leadership position, because neither Mark Kelly nor Rafael Warnock, among others, actually won their races.  Nancy Pelosi is illegitimate, because there were at least a half-dozen closely contested races that were likely impacted by the same cheating.  Do you really believe John James lost his Senate race in Michigan?  I don’t.

No, Mr. Levin, don’t tell me we should spill blood or treasure, no matter how strongly we might feel about it, for the sake of Ukraine or President Zelenskiy.  Until we spill all the blood and treasure needed to rescue our own fallen nation, don’t dare speak of it to me. You haven’t earned the right.  If you wish to characterize me as America First, as though it were a slur of some kind, so be it. I’ll stand by it. Don’t worry, I won’t burn any of the autographed books that fill half a shelf, in part not only because I hate book-burners and wanton, pointless destruction, but also because, with the way things are rapidly heading, I may need them soon for that purpose to cook my supper. Shall we go to war with the president we’ve got?  Respectfully, that depends on the contextual meaning of “with,” sir.  With him in Ukraine?

Hell no.

Editor’s Note: I’ve been a big fan of Mark Levin for a long time, and in the past, I’ve contributed to the Landmark Legal Foundation, of which he served as President for several years.  I don’t mean here to personally attack Mr. Levin, but I fail to understand his point of view on this particular issue. I always feel badly when I find myself at severe disagreement with the Great One, but on this point, I will not demur.  Our country cannot now defend itself, and its leaders prevent its agents and officers from defending even our Southern border.  They file suits at law against states, like my own, who attempt to enforce the laws of the United States, and even when ordered by courts to do so, effectively play a stalling game, and a game of “you can’t make me” with federal judges who dare to rule against them, up to and including the Supreme Court. So long as we have a lawless government, I support only wars of immediate existential circumstances for the United States. I swore an oath to the Constitution of the United States, and it does not expire, no matter who now has claimed the authority to ignore it.

The Truth About Afghanistan

Biden Deserves Blame…

There are those screeching now that “we shouldn’t have been there,” and there are those demanding we go back in with guns blazing. I must admit that while I am disgusted with the way we’ve withdrawn, I believe we needed to have withdrawn years ago. Remembering how we wound up in that Hell-hole, it’s worth noting that we went to Afghanistan to impose a reckoning on those who attacked us on 9/11, and also those who sheltered and supported the terrorists.  I don’t think we should have been there beyond the end of the Bush presidency, but then again, I don’t think it should have taken us more than a decade to find Osama bin Laden.  The problem with the entire expedition is that not long after arriving there, it seems we lost focus on our purpose there.  We should have been there for a singular purpose: To locate and destroy the guilty; to abolish their ability to make war upon any nation; to enact justice in a dangerous, sometime monstrous world.  Instead, we deluded ourselves into the belief that we could teach the peoples of Afghanistan “democracy,” for all the good that might do them, when they had not even the basic-most understanding of the concept of rights.  The truth about Afghanistan is a nasty story, and one from which most Americans will too quickly and easily avert their eyes.  We went astray in largest measure because we, the people, permitted this to happen by ceding oversight of our government to our alleged betters in Washington DC. This must be the most important lesson of our age, and it’s one that too many people too easily dismiss.  Yes, Biden’s actions were abominable, and certainly, he and all who helped him plan this should be removed from their posts, but we must measure our roles in it too.  Our apathy has played its own terrible role.

It’s easy to blame politicians. Often, they earn the blame by their foolish ideas and frequently reckless implementations of them. Men like Joe Biden, or the monsters directing him, have no business making decisions about the conduct of this nation’s military affairs. Momentarily ignoring Biden’s peculiar personal shortcomings, such as his clearly advancing dementia, the truth is that Biden’s never done a single thing the right way, never mind doing the right thing from the outset.  He’s always chosen incorrectly, from his time as a junior Senator from Delaware, foisting his notions of segregation on the country, to his decisions later as the Chairman of the Senate Judiciary committee, overseeing the show-trial and “high-tech lynching” of Clarence Thomas. Later still, as Vice President, he used his office to pile-up cash from all sorts of nefarious sources, and by illegitimate means. He should never have been the nominee for President, nor any other office of trust under our constitution. He shouldn’t have been permitted to put a lid on his campaign for months on end in the midst of a presidential campaign.  He should never have been permitted to steal an election, or having stolen it, to be permitted to enter the office. In this sense, it is our fault too, because while most of the readers of this site will have voted against the brain-addled charlatan, we were also the people who let the fraudulent secretaries of state be seated in places like Georgia and Arizona without serious inspection of their qualifications or their intentions. In too many ways, we’ve let ourselves be led, rather than choosing the course of our nation.

Donald Trump also wanted to get out of Afghanistan, but clearly, his approach was quite different, the Biden administration’s claims to the contrary notwithstanding. He made clear to the Taliban quite some time ago that if they violated their agreements, and that if they harmed any American, he would descend on them like Hell itself had landed.  The Taliban, after one early attempt to cross him, were taught a difficult lesson. After the election was stolen, and Trump was no longer in office, Joe Biden immediately began the effort to change everything Trump had done. Among these things, the Taliban had agreed to certain timelines with Trump, and Biden ignored it all.  He (or those handling him) was determined to wreck the place.  Nothing he said in his scripted, unquestioned statement to the press on Monday was true.  None of it. He postured about the “buck” stopping with him, but in his statement, he criticized his predecessor as though Donald Trump had somehow been able, from his home in Mar-a-lago to impose his own will on the conduct of the situation in Afghanistan.  Preposterous?  Of course, but nobody in the mainstream media will seriously challenge his assertions.  On Wednesday, he has an “exclusive interview” with George Stephanopoulos on ABC, but no serious person believes he’ll be pressed for any answers on anything important, including particularly his lies.

Biden told us the Afghanis were unwilling to fight. Let’s be clear: The Afghani army fought like Hell these last several years. They lost thousands upon thousands of men fighting against the Taliban.  Biden pulled the rug from beneath them, however, removing all air support, all intelligence, and even the contractors who helped them maintain their equipment, vehicles, and aircraft. It’s one thing to say that an Army won’t fight, but it’s another to remove instantly from them all the infrastructure on which they depended for the fight you expect them to carry out. There was no serious provision for how to get our own people out, never mind the Afghanis who had worked with us, and even now, the Taliban has ringed the Kabul airport to prevent any further Afghanis from making it onto the airport.  They intend to clean up thoroughly once the Americans and the world’s media have finally departed, and by clean-up, I mean a slaughter.

I know most people wanted us to end our two-decades-long engagement in Afghanistan. I can’t help but agree, but I don’t know any of the people who feel this way who think this was carried out in anything like a sensible, honorable fashion.  I know of veterans who, even at this moment, are trying to figure out how they can help the people of Afghanistan, and some ten to forty thousands of Americans still stuck behind enemy lines.  Biden’s people briefed the press and said that no, indeed, Americans weren’t being prioritized for evacuation, and they said it seemingly with glee.  Then today, they reversed themselves on the “prioritization” question, seemingly, at least momentarily, although nobody really knows what they’re doing.  They answered succinctly that no plan had been made on how to deprive materials and weapons left behind to the Taliban, and indeed they are aware that any number of such things, up to and including aircraft, have been left to the loving care of the seventh-century monsters now swarming Kabul.

As easy as it may be to see that Biden has snatched defeat out of the jaws of a restless, difficult neutralization of the conflict, it’s also clear that our expectations were forged during a presidency in which the chief executive routinely got things right. Trump was a species of big cat, while Biden is a much more common brand of goat. Trump was the apex predator to Washington DC’s herds of flighty prey animals.  To expect Biden to even roughly approximate the sorts of results Donald Trump brought is frankly absurd.  Biden does well to walk across the White House lawn without losing his way.

This takes us back to the central issue, and it’s the thing we must confront.  The media is entirely corrupt.  There are so few of them I hold in any regard that it isn’t worth the trouble of listing the bad ones.  You already know the scarce exceptions. The entirety of Washington DC is broken.  There is no department or agency of government, no Pentagon-bound member of the military, and no member of the federal law enforcement or intelligence services to which I afford anything approximating trust.  They’re all either malevolent or incompetent, and frequently both.  Sources of varying veracity report the White House is in absolute disarray.  Nobody wants to get in front of the press, and nobody wants to attach themselves to the catastrophic decisions and inactions of [Fake]President Biden. Most of them view the ongoing cluster as a public relations nightmare, but virtually none of them are concerned with the real blowback that will come from this planned, man-caused disaster. None of their concerns are for the country, or the wider world, but only their narrow places and even narrower reputations within it. With all of this in mind, it comes down to the most important parts in this entire play. Us. You, and I, and our throngs of countrymen. It is we who will be compelled to clean this up, or watch it implode until our lives are reduced to ashes, and the lives of our children and grandchildren with us.

Today, I contacted seven state representatives, and three senators. I again reached out to Governor Abbott, demanding a forensic audit of the 2020 election in Texas. Why? Simply put, the information related by Seth Keshel in Mike Lindell’s CyberSymposium cannot be ignored. Trump shouldn’t have won Texas by six percent, but by sixteen. This is true in every state he won, and every state he lost. There may be as many as ten states that were flipped, but the best guesses say eight.  All we are watching Joe Biden carry into execution is only possible because he’s thus far gotten away with the theft.  With all that’s happening, and with the rate at which our economy is running headlong into stagflation or worse, hyperinflation, we ought to pushing now to capture the attention of our fellow Americans, to enlist their help in focusing on the election.  Every state needs an audit.  It’s not going to happen if we don’t insist on it, and drag these state legislatures, kicking and screaming, to do their jobs.

This country is descending into chaos. It’s going to get much worse.  We cannot afford for this farce to go any further. Joe Biden must go. His whole morally bankrupt administration must be sent packing. The audits need to uncover also which down-ballot elections, such as Senators and Representatives, were also stolen. The only way this can happen is with us pushing it. Nothing else matters. There is no issue that can be resolved so long as 2020 remains unaddressed. The truth about Afghanistan is that it remains only one more symptom of the virulent infection we’re suffering as a people, not from COVID, but from a more sinister contagion: Apathy.

In Time of Peace, Prepare for War

Thursday, July 29th, 2021

It’s only just begun

Recently, I was reflecting on my military service. In the 1980s, I served in the Army National Guard and in the US Army. On active duty, I served most of my time in Europe, specifically Germany. I was assigned to an Artillery unit, and in 1988, the unit was re-designated as part of a broader reorganization the Army was carrying out. This meant our unit’s name changed, and while our brigade remained the same, the change of the battalion’s designation necessitated a change to our Distinctive Unit Insignia(often called a Unit Crest) and our motto.  A more decorated unit was reactivated, and more historically significant unit colors were raised.  Previously, as an artillery unit goes, our motto had been pretty generic and not entirely inspirational: “We Support the Line.” That’s true of any artillery unit, and it’s not exactly the most motivational motto ever repeated. The new designation came with a new motto, and since this was the era of Ronald Reagan, with his increased tempo of training and readiness generally, I found the new motto much more suitable not only to our unit’s character, but also to the times in which we then lived: “In Time of Peace, Prepare for War.” That motto spoke to a philosophy, and that philosophy endures in my thinking, and has dominated much of my decision-making ever since.  In an era when the unthinkable had to be contemplated as a very real possibility, we went about the task of preparing for it as though it was an imminent eventuality, rather than some vaguely possible worst-case scenario. It’s about this mindset and all that goes along with it that I now wish you to consider. We can pray for peace. We should work for it, and we must conduct ourselves in peace, but we must now prepare as though the war we all hope never to fight is imminent and perhaps unavoidable.

Our nation is breaking down. The bonds of fraternity among the American people are being intentionally shattered.  The Biden administration is neither defending the nation against its enemies, nor providing any workable strategy for safeguarding the country.  Instead, the Biden administration is actively attacking the concepts of separation of powers, election integrity, free markets, national security and sovereignty, the administration of justice, and transparency in government.  They claim to act in the name of science, yet when the science confounds their agenda, they collude with their big-tech friends to abscond with scientific information, and to impound it such that it is never seen by Americans. Instead, what they practice is Scientism. They’ve wrecked our recently attained national energy independence, by direct regulatory acts of sabotage, and by failing to act to defend the national infrastructure from attack by foreign actors.  In every way you can conceive, the Biden administration is acting against the interests of the sovereignty and prosperity of the American republic.  They are actively perverting the justice system.  In Portland, actual rioters guilty of all but the most egregious acts are being turned loose without bail, while in the District of Columbia, people have been in jail for months for misdemeanor charges of “trespassing” for merely being at the Capitol on January 6th. As previously reported, we now know the US Government, through its National Institute of Health, actually funded so-called “Gain of Function” experimentation (read: weaponization) of Coronaviruses.  Dr. Anthony Fauci again vehemently denied the charge under questioning by Rand Paul, but it’s clear from just a few minutes of simple research that Fauci is a liar, and he’s been exposed for the monster he is.  The media continues to cover for him.

What all of this really means is that we’re under attack. It’s not an open attack by a single enemy or an axis of traditional foreign state actors. Instead, this is an attack by all the minions of the global Marxist front.  We’re not facing a single enemy operating in the open on which we can focus our efforts.  This enemy is in our country, as well as outside, and its members are among us, some more openly malevolent, while others take a slightly more covert, flanking approach, striking us from the rear, or from within our own ranks.  It is only a matter of time before all of this barely-suppressed hostility boils over into open fighting.  What will trigger that is unknown, but it must be repeated lest the timid among us shrink from the cause confronting us all: This is a war, and while we must strive to keep it within the bounds of peaceable conduct, it must also be recognized that it may well turn into a kinetic fight.  We gain nothing by turning this into an actual war, inasmuch as we do not control the implements of government, and we would not be operating under color of law.  This is why the enemy had to seize power, whatever it took, no matter how much cheating and fraud was necessary.  To legitimize their intended actions, they needed to be able to assert some form of legitimate authority.  Stealing the election, no matter how obvious, was the key to this claim.

This is why they are fighting like Hell to forestall, obstruct, and negate any audits of the vote. When all your claims to authority rest on the legitimacy of an election, anything that throws doubt on that legitimacy is a potentially lethal threat to your power. This is why Rudy Giuliani had to be taken out of play.  This is why I now believe January 6th went the way it did.  This is why Mike Pence, a man who I never trusted, became involved in the way he did on January 6th: When his letter went out, I immediately knew something ugly was about to occur.  Yes, the “insurrection” was another Washington DC setup, rigged in much the same way as the riot by alleged workers at the Rearden Steel mills in Atlas Shrugged. Donald Trump was refusing to play his appointed role in this show, so that to defame and discredit both he and his supporters was the most direct route to securing their coup.

Even now, Cyrus Vance Jr. is still cooking up a case in New York,  Don’t be surprised when on some morning in the near future, you awake to pictures and footage of Trump being taken into custody. The one sure way to put an end to all these audits is to jail the man who would rightfully be legitimized by them.  Don’t be surprised when none in the Republican Party come to his aid. They’re doing all they can to steer clear of all of this.  They won’t raise their voices against it in part because they don’t wish to be lumped-in for persecution alongside Trump, and more importantly, because they hope to fill the vacuum left when Democrats cart Trump away under color of law.

I raise all of these things under the umbrella of preparation because I still believe most of my fellow Americans have no idea what’s coming, or if they suspect as much, how real and how thorough this war against you has become. Do you really think it was Russian hackers who brought down the Colonial pipeline? Or was it a test to see how quickly and thoroughly travel within a day’s drive of Washington DC could be shut down? One of the things January 6th taught the UniParty thugs is that Trump can deliver a huge crowd to their doorstep on relatively short notice.  Estimates vary, of course, but some estimates suggest that more than one-million people descended on DC for that event, not including the BLM and Antifa provocateurs.  The vast majority of those people hailed from within a day’s drive of the Capitol.  What do you think would happen if audits began to reveal massive problems with the legitimacy of the 2020 elections(as is happening now in Arizona) while the highly politicized DOJ or Cyrus Vance or others decided to perp-walk Trump on some politicized charge? Do you think the people in DC would have reason to want to paralyze travel along the Eastern seaboard?

People have asked why Liz Cheney has such a hate on for Donald Trump. It’s easy to overlook some things, but remember in DC that everything comes down to connections and who’s doing whom. Her husband is Philip Perry, a former associate attorney general, general counsel for OMB, and general counsel for Homeland Security in the Bush years. This guy not only knows where some of the bodies are buried, but probably buried a few on his own.  More to the point, however, the law firm for which he now works, Latham and Watkins, has come under criticism for its contacts with and work for companies deeply connected to the Chinese Communist Party. That’s right, Cheney is likely a beneficiary of the CCP’s buy-off scams in DC, like so many in Washington DC, via a spouse.

All of this is about two things, boiled down, and you need to understand it: These people in Washington DC, the UniParty and the DeepStaters, have been running a non-stop scam on this country for decades.  Left in office much longer, Trump was going to begin uncovering it. Once the dominoes would have begun to fall, there would have been no stopping it or concealing it any longer.  This is the basis of the motives behind all of the NeverTrumpers, and most of the Democrats. These are deeply compromised people, all of them, most of them having engaged in some sort of treason-for-pay or other serious crimes for which they’re either being blackmailed or are subject to possible blackmail, along with prosecution for the hidden crimes. This is the motive.

What they’re willing to do about it is something else again. They are willing to tear down the country, burn it down to its foundations, and use explosives to wreck that too.  Think carefully about this: Imagine you’re the kind of treasonous vermin who would screw your entire country for a few pieces of silver, and the lowly moral character that evinces.  Now consider what, in that context, you’d be willing to do to prevent the disclosure of your crimes, your betrayals, and your treason.  What wouldn’t you burn to the ground in order to preserve what you’ve gained by your illicit activities, or even to simply conceal your crimes from the public?

These people are far worse than the dirtbags who were the object of the French revolutionaries’ collective ire.  If the people of France then thought the guillotine was a suitable remedy, it may well be the case that if you ever learn the full extent of the crimes of the DC UniParty, you may be demanding a giant meat-grinder.  They know it.  They’re willing to kill all of you to conceal it.  They’re willing to launch a war to hide it.  They’re willing to lose the war in order that we surrender and thereby yield our constitution.  Do you understand?  This war, the one that’s on slow-boil at the moment, is part of a strategy by which they will finally rid themselves of the deplorables who built the country and provided them their high offices.  Your usefulness to them is now over.  Now, it’s all about controlling you and protecting themselves.  They see your elimination as the best way to protect themselves.  They’re importing your replacements so they can maintain the illusion of “democracy” even now.  They’re willing to live with CCP masters in the short-term, because they’re all the same kind of monsters.  All of them.

They will pit Americans against Americans, vaccinated against unvaccinated, masked against unmasked, criminal against innocent, child against parent, and public official against the public.  They don’t care how much of the country burns.  They’re willing to burn it all to the ground to conceal their rampant profiteering off their offices, their treasons against the whole of the people, and whatever else it may take so that they don’t lose power, wealth, control, and especially so that they never face justice.

Do you really think you can just “vote them out?” You’ve tried that, many times, and in many movements. It’s never ultimately worked, but they’ve always managed to work you.  It’s true that most of the street agitators are just useful idiots, and knowing that is important, but it’s also not relevant to your preparations for the war they’re already waging against you.  You must begin to put yourself in a different mindset, in which the preservation of your life and the lives of your loved-ones are your primary operative consideration.  There is no chance we come back from this as a country if these people are permitted to succeed.  Again, they want you dead and buried.  You are the object of this war.

Take stock of food-stuff, and emergency supplies.  Make contact with your neighbors and discover what they’re doing to prepare.  Urge them to prepare. Remember, when the fecal matter hits the fan, every person who is prepared is one fewer person you’ll need to fend off when they run out of resources.  Be prepared to fend them off, too.

At the moment, you have precious little time, as they prepare to take their war against us to the next step. I expect them to cut off communications among us at some point.  I expect them to try to prevent us from talking among ourselves, so that they can control all information.  That’s what’s happened in Cuba, and in the black-out of information and news, these monsters always thrive. Expect all of the mainstream media to be vicious propaganda.  Expect power outages disguised as cyber-attacks.  Expect fuel shortages.  Expect mass starvation.  Expect all the Hell you can imagine in a dystopian world the sort of which they need.  Don’t drive panic.  Instill confidence through preparedness.  Time is short, patriots.

While we have still a moment of relative peace, let us make preparations for war, that if war comes, we are able to prevail. The only alternative is unpreparedness, and with it, death.  Do not yield your life and your life’s works so easily. Do not lose it all within sight of victory.  Prepare to fight to save all you love.  You will need resolve most of all.  Go forth in pursuit of peace, but know that along that path almost certainly lies war.

Dissident Virologist Says China Created and Intentionally Released #WuFlu

Wednesday, September 16th, 2020

Have we been attacked?

I mentioned this in an earlier article, but last night, Tucker Carlson actually had the doctor on his show to talk about it. Dr. Li-Meng Yan appeared on Foxnews on Tuesday evening to explain that COVID19 is a manufactured virus. Basically, she termed COVID19 as a kind of viral “Frankenstein” created with pieces of different viruses in a laboratory, and intentionally released it into the world. It also explains why China shut down travel to Wuhan within their country, but permitted travel to the rest of the world from Wuhan to continue.

If true, this constitutes biological warfare, and China has attacked us along with the rest of the world. If true, this was an act of war.

Here’s the video;:

President Trump has been correct to doubt China, and to think this was a horrible act on their part. Now, it’s becoming clearer that nearly 200,000 Americans may have died in an intentional attack using this virus as a weapon.

An Open Letter to the President from an Arch-Bishop You Must Read

The Courage to Speak Out Against Evil

Most of my long-time readers will remember that I was raised to be a Catholic. Many of the causes of my discontent with the church are subjects dealing with the conduct of the church, its hierarchy, the behavior(s) of some of those who would claim to lead it, and the various cover-ups that have become the signature of an historic religious institution that has lost its way. With that in mind, I want you to read this letter from Arch-Bishop Carlo Maria Viganò. He’s been an agent of reform in the church, attempting to right some of the very wrongs about which I and so many others have complained. In this case, he offers to give you a glimpse into the nature of the devils against which he wars, and he makes clear that he is a natural ally to President Trump, to patriotic Americans, and indeed all people of good will everywhere. I don’t ordinarily discuss religion on this site because it is so divisive, but I think upon reading this letter, all Americans of good will can recognize the good in men where we find it, whatever our religious beliefs(or even lack thereof.) It’s in this spirit that I offer you an amazing, astonishing open letter to President Trump, first made available late Saturday. I think you will profit from the time spent reading it, as the Arch-Bishop concludes with a prayer in his war against the Invisible Enemy:

(It’s a three page document, the controls should appear at the top of the document)

The War on America

Wednesday, June 21st, 2017

america_burning_ft

There have been a number of considerable turning points in American history, and I believe we have reached another.  After 9/11, one of the conclusions of the Commission set up to investigate the attack concluded, among other things, that one of the reasons the attackers had been successful is that while through the 1990s, al-Qaeda had been in an openly-declared war against the United States, for the most part, our government had conducted itself as though no war existed, taking little action against al-Qaeda despite a ratcheting escalation against our nation, with attacks at the Kobar Towers, The USS Cole, the embassies that came under attack in Africa, and numerous other less infamous attacks.  The critique of the 9/11 Commission on this point was correct, and in many ways, it should have served as a warning that history provides a nation for its future remembrance and consideration, but it seems the lesson is lost on our people and our politicians.  As bad as al-Qaeda or ISIS may be, and as mortifying as their campaign of terrorism and murderous intentions may be, I believe we now face a more virulent threat, one that threatens to destroy not only people and planes and buildings, but America itself.  Here, I do not mean “the United States,” but instead the very idea that is and has been “America,” writ large across history’s pages.  Most frightening of all, it seems too many Americans are blissfully unaware, but what we now face is an irrational enemy that rivals al-Qaeda in their evil intentions, and possesses one significant advantage in its war against us:  They are of us. They are among us.  They are everywhere around you, and their hatred of America is no less sincere, and no less vengeful.  Ladies and gentlemen, we are in a war undeclared in words, but a war nevertheless affirmed by their actions, and it is a war on everything we love. We must adopt the appropriate mindset.

I have cited here before the amazing and simultaneously terrifying similarities between the radical left and militant Islam.  In terms of the peculiarities of their respective grievances with America, it would seem at least superficially distinct, but upon closer examination, one begins to note that in truth, there are very few differences that amount to much.  One might argue, for instance, that the radical left supports extended special rights and protections for homosexuals, whereas militant Islam seems to be most comfortable when heaving homosexuals from rooftops, such that one would never think that the two groups could have much in common, but I beg you reconsider.  For the radical left, homosexuals are just another pressure group in their endless war of identity politics. The “LGBTQ community” is merely another vehicle for the advance of their deepest socio-political ambitions, which care not in the least for the actual people one whose behalf they claim to advocate.  Note instead that in a choice between supporting militant Islam and conservative Americans, the left gleefully chooses the former, since the latter is their true enemy.

In the same way, militant Islamists would seem to share no particular affinity for leftists, until you consider their ruling philosophy.  It is true that while the left is generally secularist in its thinking, and militant Islam is thoroughly religious on its face, both seek the same basic union: Leftists desire the aggregation of all power and law under a secular government, removing all individual discretion of any kind, including thought or expression, while Islamists seek to remove all obstacles to a theocracy that likewise eschews any notion of the individual human being.  Both claim the supremacy of their respective goals;  to carry out either ultimate plans requires the forceful subsumption of all human discretion under their immediate martial control.  In theory, this distinction between the secular and religious would seem a broad difference, but in practice, it requires the same ultimate series of oppressive undertakings, requiring the absolute suppression of the individual in any personal dimension.

We have arrived in a state of our culture in which the more committed radical leftists now take up arms to carry out their own sort of Jihad against Republican legislators.  What makes this different from the parade of political assassins of the left in times gone by is that here, the Jihadist didn’t care so much about a particular target, but was instead motivated by extraordinary hatred against the core ideas of America.  He shot Congressman Scalise, but Scalise wasn’t a specific target, except inasmuch as he happened to be a Republican.  What signals to me the onset of the open war against America is not merely the attack waged by this leftist goon, but instead the disgusting, despicable reaction of the whole leftist media and political establishment that immediately set out to justify and rationalize the attack, turning to blaming the victims of the attack, intimating that Scalise(and all Republicans) deserve what they get.

At the same time, the radical left, which is now nearly the whole body and appendages of the mainstream media and the government bureaucracy are now aligned to destroy President Donald Trump.  As you will have known, I am not Trump’s greatest advocate, but he is after all the duly elected President of the United States, is qualified to hold that office, and he seems to be setting about fulfilling his duties despite my sometimes significant disagreements with his policy preferences.  This circumstance is wholly unacceptable to the virulent radical left.  They will remove him from office, one way or the other, and indeed, any Republican who would follow him, not because he is all that far from the more moderate folk in their political party, but because he is of the opposition, and that he might manage a mildly conservative thing or two, and reverse some parts of the drive toward their ultimate goal: The complete subjugation of any remaining philosophically American people, and the unrelenting demolition of the underlying idea that had been Americanism.

The war being conducted against Trump is spawned of the radical left’s stranglehold on the mass media(not merely the news media,) and the stranglehold they have on the bureaucracy that is the deep state.  They are coordinating to destroy him, as evidenced and typified by Comey’s leak to his friend, and by the official state as made plain by the unmasking of Michael Flynn and unknown (as yet) others in and around the Trump campaign and administration.  None of this is accidental, and it all has the same underlying purpose: De-legitimize Trump in preparation for removing him from office, legally if possible, forcefully if they can provoke it among one of their more violent lunatics, or by political destruction in 2020 if nothing else succeeds.  They have the whole of the mass media, the news, and the entire extended welfare state and security bureaucracy of the government at their immediate disposal, and while Trump clearly knows he’s under attack, I don’t think he’s quite yet grasped how thorough his challenges are, or how even to begin fighting for his own survival.

This sickening, depraved assault on the Trump presidency is really just an extension of the radical left’s war on us.  He’s actually a proxy for the obstacle we present the left in their war on America and Americanism.  What Trump must now do, and I hope someone close to him will prevail upon him to recognize it, is to defend himself and the country with all the power of the presidency, by every available means.  Trump could be creative and intelligent in this respect, but he must find the right sort of strategic and tactical thinkers to carry it out. The executive branch is gigantic, and most agencies and departments of the US Federal Government fall under the President’s direct control.  If Trump wishes to win this war, he must begin where his power is strongest under our constitutional system, and that means making an all-out war against the bureaucracy and its innumerable hangers-on.

Hiring freezes are nice, but that’s barely a pimple on the behemoth’s backside.  His watchwords should be: “Reorganize and restructure.” At present, the bureaucracy of the whole Federal Government is structured in a manner optimal to its growth and further aggregation of power.  It is staffed with people who are most frequently hostile to the idea that is America, and the people throughout the country who still cling stubbornly to those ideals.  More, Trump is in a position to use the bureaucracy’s own arguments to demolish it.  Trump can do something none have ever dared to do before, and sweep out so much of the Federal leviathan.  You might ask how Trump could accomplish this. Here are just a few ideas:

  • Move whole departments and their headquarters of the Federal Government out of Washington DC and its immediate surrounds, justifying it as an example of trying to get all the nation’s most critical eggs out of the same vulnerable basket
  • Eliminate whole sections and sub-departments of various agencies on the basis of a “green” movement, trying to make the federal government more environmentally friendly by reducing its size and carbon footprint.
  • Instruct the bureaucracy to release Obama era working papers, various and sundry studies, and all manner of leftist undertaking all in the name of open, honest, and transparent government.  Consider even a campaign of declassifying information where it has no further relevance to national security
  • Replace every bureaucrat above the rank of janitor, driving them off with new policies justified in various ways, and removing perquisites where they exist.  Take away government-issued vehicles and issue bicycles. Take away work-owned cellular phones from all but the absolutely most critical personnel as a cost-saving measure.
  • Similarly, eliminate Internet access as both a security measure and a cost-saving measure except for those whose jobs absolutely require it.

Obviously, this is far from an exhaustive list, but you can let your imagination run away a little bit with these sorts of approaches. There’s no end to the ways in which the bureaucracy can be brought to heel, but it’s time, finally, for Trump to begin that job in earnest, if not as a purely utilitarian approach to government reform, then at least as a matter of his(and our) defense.

Donald Trump needs to recognize that the radical left is at war with America every bit as zealously as are al-Qaeda and ISIS.  Even now, their more virulently maniacal members are being motivated to real attacks and real violence against Americans and Americanism.  For precisely the same reason they help to cover up militant Islamists’ attacks in the media, and with the same undeniable political agenda, their intention is to conceal this war against America and Americans as long as possible.  The time is coming when this war may enter a new and more dangerous phase, when the violence will become increasingly routine and more accepted in the mass media, and if you watch what is happening in Europe with militant Islam, you begin to grasp what is afoot for America, now under attack by radical leftists.  Trump is the only person in a position in our government to openly oppose all of this, and while he may be active on Twitter, it’s time for him to become more activist in his defense and defense of the Republic.  After eight long years of a president openly hostile to America and Americans, and a media all too willing to redefine even what those words mean on his behalf, it’s time for President Trump to live up to his “America First” proclamation.  He’ll need our support if he’s to succeed, but first, it’s time for him to strike back, and the power of the presidency is a very nearly unlimited weapon in the fight against the colossus that is the Federal bureaucracy.

One might ask how going after the bureaucracy will stanch the radical left’s war on America, but the truth is that initially, it will cause them to react somewhat more reflexively and perhaps violently to the change, but if they are permitted to fester longer, it strengthens them, and it offers them comfort. The Federal government is their “safe space,” and it’s time to pull that particular rug from beneath them. Every time the deep state launches an attack on Trump or his administration, and each time some mad-cap leftist carries out an attack against peaceful Republicans, the virulent left is heartened. To win this war, Trump is going to need to break their spirit, and hearten the actual Americans who remain among us.  Taking on the bureaucracy is entirely within his constitutional scope.  Delaying this a moment longer is merely to yield more ground to an unrelenting, irrational evil.   When Trump pointed out that the news media are effectively an enemy of the people, he was right, and perhaps much more so than simplistic evaluations of his more bombastic proclamations reveal, but also, I fear, more than he knew at the time.  It isn’t just the media, however.  Specifically, it’s the radical leftist media, a near hegemony that is in league with the deep state, and indeed, the entire Washington DC establishment.

President Trump doesn’t need to openly declare war against the left, at least initially.  What this war against America requires is a substantive response, and that response should come in the form of a complete demolition of the deep state bureaucracy, shamelessly and tirelessly using the full palette of presidential powers contemplated by our constitution as the chief executive presiding over the executive branch. He won’t need to declare it, because the leftists will scream at the tops of their shrill little voices, and the remnant of America will understand the source of the noise, and be heartened.  It’s a war, and we ought to have such lesser skirmishes while it’s still possible in order to preclude the many deeper tragedies the left will beget if unopposed.  There is still time to save America, and it’s time for President Trump to launch the counteroffensive, as only the President has the authority to do.  If the left is not stopped soon, the disasters that will be visited upon the shrinking remnant of America will be more thorough than those that either al-Qaeda or ISIS can begin to realize. The radical left is every bit as dangerous as the militant element of Islam, and it’s time to do something about it.

Three Courses Among Which None Wish to Choose

Saturday, January 25th, 2014

Easier not to choose?

I’ve remained still these last weeks waiting to see the outcome of things in my own world.  My wife suffered a heart attack in early December, and while she survived and is on the mend, it put me into a pensive mood during which I’ve said little while simply absorbing what’s going on in the world around us.  I don’t have all of the answers, but what I do know is that we have a choice to make.  It struck me with a certain clarity when I realized that for all the efforts of good and conscientious conservatives, we’re barely making a dent.  The American people are thoroughly dispirited in a way not seen since Carter, and maybe even the pre-war era of FDR’s long and loathsome administration.  Nothing is improving.  Jobs are scarce.  The printed currency is piling up, and with it a stack of IOUs that would reach from Earth to the no-longer-planet Pluto.  What strikes me most is the unwillingness to choose, perhaps because all of the options seem so depressingly bad.  We are now at a stage in our civilization’s collapse that we must fight, reform, or surrender.  Make no mistake about it, as while we defer the choice, the available options only become more severe in their fullest meanings.  In time, the choice will be taken from us, and surrender will be replaced by slavery, whether we’d choose it or not. Even now, the embrace of the police state is transforming from a gentle, confidence-instilling hug into a death-grip from which it seems there may be no escape.

Maybe it’s time you had that blunt bit of talk with loved-ones who may not realize what’s afoot.    I know I’ve tried.  Some never listen because it’s too painful.  More often, because it is a complicated problem with implications that will reach into every life, most refuse to consider it.  Our nation is well on its way to becoming Rome.  We witness now the harbingers of our moral collapse, with an unconscionable display of motherly pride in a son who literally prostituted himself to homosexual pornography to support her household.  Lot’s wife had at least the advantage of a husband who would tell her to avert her eyes.  This scandalous decline in our cultural moral standards has left us with a nation that is rudderless not only in Washington DC, but in Everytown, USA, where plain, ordinary citizens no longer seem to muster much moral indignation about anything of consequence, while others rush to uphold the vile, the obnoxious, and the nonsensical.

Don’t misunderstand me: There are still many Americans who feel as I do, and you may well be among them, yet we are a declining proportion of a population overwhelmingly beset with endless distractions that will mean nothing when they find themselves at some future date languishing in the gutter.  I don’t believe it must end this way, but if we don’t choose another course, and soon, it will end this way.  As one friend constantly reminds me, “nothing ends well or it would never end.”  There’s a certain pragmatism to that view against which I would like to rebel, but like most of my readers, I feel the crushing weight of history pressing down upon us.

Will we fight?  Will a beleaguered people take up arms?  Many an American has made oaths, not all of them idle, about the nature of how they will go down, but I wonder if when faced with it, how many will simply fold.  More, one could wonder if this is not precisely what certain statist elements are attempting to provoke.  Against the combined forces of the modern government, who could long endure?  Who would desire this sort of outcome?  Who would want a fractured nation consumed by civil war?  Still, if it became the only viable option for our survival, I wonder how many would stand and fight, and for what they’d be fighting.

Will we surrender?  Will we yield to the historic march of statism, giving up first the last measures of our personal sovereignty; our property, such slim wealth as we may have managed to preserve, and all personal discretion to a police state that will command our every action, and make our every choice?   The evidence today would suggest that this shall be our path.  Despite its clear predatory aims against our liberties, observe the fact that at least one-third of Americans still believe the failed roll-out of the monstrous “Obama-care” should continue.  Such people do not deserve freedom, and will not long cling to it, precisely because such measures of freedom they tend to demand are merely vestiges of the concept.

Will we reform?  Here lies the last option for salvaging the nation, yet it is also the historically slimmest probability. The singular advantage we may possess when compared to all the collapsing civilizations that have before us descended into ash is that our basic law has been so difficult to amend that it has succeeded only twenty-seven times in more than two-hundred years.  What this means is that some vital portions have been left intact, leaving to us an escape-clause of sorts, and a method by which to reach from the grave’s brink at the last moment to reform our dying civilization.  This makes us undeniably unique with respect to opportunity, but the question remains as to whether we can summon the character in sufficient numbers to reach for that constitutional kill-switch.

I have become convinced that while we may tinker around with this office or that, and while we may occasionally elect a competent, sincere conservative, the federal authorities in Washington rule almost without respect to our laws, never mind our wishes.  Mark Levin has stated often and with growing impatience that we will almost certainly fail to reform by focusing on the federal government and its elected office-holders.  We must reach into the constitutional tool-kit and utilize its most powerful weapon against the centralization of power in Washington DC: Article V. holds the entire mechanism for reforms we seek.  It is not an easy road, and there will be no instant gratification, but if we are to overcome the gaping maw of the all-powerful government now consuming us, it is upon the authority of Article V that our salvation may rest. If you’ve not yet read The Liberty Amendments, I would urge you to consider picking up a copy soon.

Even now, we can observe the Obama administration’s predatory, despotic intentions.  While a review board declared that the NSA’s spying on US citizens should cease, the Obama administration rejected the board’s conclusions.  While we watch, the Obama administration makes it plain that they are checking their enemies list and checking it twice, and the only way to escape it is to be perpetually nice to the administration and its aims.  No dissent of any sort will be tolerated, whether you’re Dinesh D’Souza or a Tea Party activist.  Worse, the Republicans on Capitol Hill are joining in, with Mitch McConnell saying the Tea Party needs a punch in the nose.  There is really no longer any question about it: The war on the American people, their culture, their traditions, and their dreams is in full force, never mind the complete destruction of any prosperity they had once known.  There is no accident in it, and it’s all going according to plan.  My question for you remains: Will we submit to this historic script, with our part as helpless victims played to the hilt?

It’s time for us to consider whether we will be led down that same old path.  We’re barely more than nine months from the mid-terms, and the evidence is that we are yielding momentum as the Republicans in Washington DC continue to throttle our efforts. One might wonder how this can be, but I understand it: We are exhausted, our morale has taken a beating, and more and more of us find we’re under an economic strain that makes other efforts seem too tiring.  Some of us have noticed the expanding police state, deciding it best to lie low and to refrain from open activism.  Myself, I feel as though I must now get all of my personal effects in order, in the manner of a soldier preparing for a deployment to war.  Sometimes, I wonder if that’s merely my perception, but something tells me I’m not alone.

Like any other movement, it’s time to assess our position, our options, and our next move.  Waiting for the “Republicans” to save us clearly won’t yield any fruit, so we must ask whether we now huddle in darkness waiting for the end, or instead rise in some fashion. I credit Mark Levin for reminding us of the one way out of all of this that remains, but now the challenge is before us:  We have a choice, and we’d best make it before it’s made for us.

How Many Americans Still Don’t Understand: We’re at War

Wednesday, October 9th, 2013

Can there be peace?

Most Americans are too charitably naive to recognize his actions as anything more than business-as-usual, dirty politics, but what this President is doing goes far beyond anything this country has seen previously, exceeding even the thuggery that was rampant under Franklin Roosevelt.  Roosevelt had the good sense to avoid directly “flipping the bird” at the American people, however, even if that was the net effect of his policies.  He certainly wasn’t bold enough to attack American heroes, or to perversely torment the families of US service-members killed in action.  FDR was too careful a politician for that, but the same cannot be said of Barack Obama.  Since the beginning of the partial government shutdown, he’s been conducting a campaign of attacks against treasured American values, while inflicting maximum pain on the most vulnerable. He’s trying to provoke the American people, with one object in mind: He wants a violent reaction from the American people so he can carry out his deadly intentions.  Had you wondered why DHS needed more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition?  Most Americans believe he’s just another politician, but he’s nothing of the sort. The evidence lies not only in his unrepentantly communistic past, but also in the intransigence of his actions.  There will be no negotiations.  This is war, the American people are his enemy, and he knows it.

By all that is good on Earth, Barack Obama should not be president.  He shouldn’t have been elected, and he certainly shouldn’t have been re-elected.  Now that he will never face another election, he’s undertaking to destroy the country more quickly than before, and sadly, there are a few on the Republican side in Washington DC who cannot wait to help him.  I address here the establishment Republicans of the sort who are trying to help Boehner sneak amnesty through while Americans are watching the shutdown fight, including former Vice Presidential candidate and general snake-in-the-grass Paul Ryan(R-WI.) He has been laboring with various Democrats to put that steaming pile of dog excrement over on us while we’re otherwise engaged.  “Watch this hand…” Even at that, however, nothing compares with the provocations being thrown like satchel-charges into the American political arena by Barack Obama. His Defense Secretary, the estimable Chuck Hagel, has ordered a suspension of death benefit payments to families of soldiers killed-in-action on the ludicrous basis that benefits to families aren’t the same as benefits to soldiers.

Hagel is a piece of dirt, but he’s simply doing as Obama orders, and this incident may be the thing that lights the fire, if nothing else will.  You see, in truth, service-members’ families really have no benefits that aren’t tied to and dependent upon the service-member.  This last bit of dishonor has been heaped upon them by the man who claims to be their commander-in-chief, but who hasn’t even the guts to take full credit for it, instead relying on Hagel as the heavy.  Don’t be fooled.  This came from the top, and everything about it reeks of the fly-ridden pestilence that is Barack Obama and his inner circle of reds, pinks, and islamo-fascists.  He’s doing this because he knew it would be an outrage.  He’s doing this because it permits him to deliver one final abuse to the service-members’ memories, and to the families who will forever miss them.  This isn’t merely petulant behavior.  It’s the behavior of a bully picking a fight, because that is his ultimate aim.  Already, the number of people talking about impeachment and about arresting this treasonous president has sky-rocketed, just like he planned it.  Before this is over, he wants the American people to be seething with rage, and by my estimation, this incident will go a long way to achieving that end.

Early in his career as a professional Marxist agitator, one of his former Occidental College room-mates noticed that he had a particular affinity for the notion of a violent communist takeover.  That’s right, Barack Obama was one of those nuts in college, and there’s really no evidence that he ever amended his beliefs.  As his former room-mate points out, there is no “conversion story.”  This is because Obama hasn’t converted, remaining the true-believing Marxist monster he had been trained to become by his mother and Frank Marshall Davis.  This man was raised on a solid diet of anti-American sentiment, ironically rising to occupy the office of the President of the United States, abusing now the people of the country at will.  He meets with his star chamber of leftists, Marxists, and garden variety statists to plot out the means by which to drive the American people to the brink of violence.

On Tuesday, he held a press briefing during which he lied endlessly, mis-characterizing virtually every point, both lying about his congressional adversaries, and his own part in the government shutdown and the debt ceiling affair.  The problem is that more and more Americans are beginning to doubt his credibility, since all the evidence actually runs in the opposite direction: More and more are noticing that President Obama is lying to them.  When combined with the indignities being heaped on our service-members, living and deceased, as well as their families and the millions of veterans in the country, it’s becoming clear that he’s trying to instigate a civil war, and slowly but surely, he is succeeding.  This is why he permitted a pro-amnesty group of illegal immigrants and their supporters to rally on the National Mall Tuesday, while denying veterans access to the same grounds.  He’s trying to provoke a violent reaction, and if he continues on this path, I fear he will get what he wants.

As it is, there already exists a movement of truckers and bikers who intend to raise a ruckus in the nation’s capital.  There are purportedly hundreds of thousands involved, perhaps millions, and some have mentioned arresting members of Congress.  Truth be told, I suspect they’d like to say the same of the President, but don’t dare for fear of the Secret Service.  Either way, I can almost bet dollars to donuts that Obama will un-ass the White House as the bikes and trucks roll into town, perhaps going to Florida for another golf outing or off to Las Vegas despite his own cautionary note about traveling there during his first few weeks in office in early 2009.  Either way, I don’t expect we’ll see much of him in DC at that time.  He and his handlers would never permit him to remain in town with such “riff-raff.”  Besides, if things get out-of-hand, he’ll need to be in a position to strike back.  Hard.

What many Americans may be on the cusp of grasping, perhaps too late, is that Barack Obama really isn’t just another politician.  He’s not Bill Clinton, and he won’t stick his moistened finger in the air to discover the direction of the political winds.  He’s every bit as committed as any jihadist, and similarly convicted of his ultimate victory over the “infidels,” in this case: Americans.  His inner circle is similarly fanatical, and the proof lies in the fact of these obvious attacks on American values.  If he had been listening to political advisers of the typical DC variety, he would not have permitted these incidents because they’re bad politics, as demonstrated by his dramatic decline in job-approval polling numbers over the last week.  The fact that he’s no longer worried enough about politics to do the politically expedient things, or at least avoid the obvious political pitfalls should demonstrate to any observer that this guy is on some kind of a count-down.  He’s like the suicide-bomber holding off the cops because he’s waiting for the timer to expire and the bomb to blow.  He’s hoping his non-negotiating negotiations buy him the time he needs before too many realize what he’s doing.  He’s gambling that you will continue to think he’s an ordinary scum-bag politician, rather than a committed, ideology-driven suicide bomber who is about to detonate your world.  You, Republicans, and not a few in the press continue to assume he’ll come around in due course, which is why he continues to throw these bones of “I’m willing to negotiate” but never does.

It’s the same tactic the jihadists used on 9/11 to immobilize the passengers on the jet-liners.  Only those on Flight 93 figured it out in advance of the end, making a heroic effort to stop the hijackers.  On the first three airliners, passengers knew they were being held by terrorists, but they naively thought there was a negotiation to be had.  The hijackers even played upon this thinking, telling them they would return to the airport until their demands were met.  They couldn’t afford their victims discovering their true aims.  They knew that once the passengers discovered it was fight and perhaps die, or do nothing and surely die, there would be a battle.  Only the people on Flight 93 figured it out in time to make a difference, with better information and a bit more time on their side.  Obama has taken over the controls of our nation, and he doesn’t intend to negotiate about it.  His impending appointment of inflation-diva Janet Yellen should demonstrate his intentions, as she will continue to devalue the dollar through inflation, on the claim that it will create jobs.  The sooner more Americans begin to realize that we now have a president who is at war with the American people, the American system of government, and the greater set of ideals that is America, the sooner we can responsibly do something about it.  Until then, he gets closer and closer to his target, and too many still believe some negotiation is possible.  This is a president whose minions actually made 800-F(1)UCKYO the phone number for his signature program.  Some of you might think it’s a clever joke in poor taste, but instead,  it’s a statement of his intentions.

Will Americans learn only after he collapses the economy?  Will we learn when he uses his powers to starve Americans and deny them care?  Will we learn when he uses troops against Americans?  Drones?  What is it going to take?  Even if Americans finally catch on, how will they react?  Will they give him the violence he desires, as an excuse for greater violence?  Will they realize that their time is running out and that he must go by legal means?  The situation looks every bit as hopeless from my point of view as it must have seemed for the first passenger to realize too late as the airplane began its descent into New York twelve years ago that something was very wrong, and that it didn’t look like an approach to an airport.  The problem is always the same: Our enemies know they’re at war with us, but we never seem to notice until it’s too late.  Obama knows.  His inner circle knows.  Boehner, McConnell, and most of the Congress are oblivious to the danger.  Sadly, so also are far too many passengers on our national plane.  There will at long last come the refrain, probably once again too late to save us:

“Let’s roll.”

By then, we may have been rolled.

Obamahu Akbar!

Syria: The Establishment’s War

Sunday, September 8th, 2013

The message went out from the establishment intelligentsia: Link Syria to Iran and talk about the Iranian nuclear weapons program, and more in Congress will buy it.  John Boehner continues to “lead” House Republicans into President Obama’s pocket, as the word circulated that if a House vote on the use of force looked like a loser, they would spare Obama the embarrassment by simply tabling the matter.  Why are House Republican leaders seeking to spare Barack Obama the humiliation of losing a vote on anything?  If Boehner were any kind of opposition leader, he would revel in it.  The plain truth of the matter is that one can imagine a vital US interest in Syria’s civil war by the most contorted linguistic machinations.  We, the American people, have no interests there, and as polls reveal, we damned-well know it.

John McCain(R-AZ) can shout down detractors at town hall meetings all he likes, but simply put, the Senator is representing somebody the interests of somebody else when he advocates sending American forces to attack Syria.  Karl Rove is pushing, and all the rest of the DC intelligentsia is demanding a war on Syrian dictator (until recently referred to simply as “President”) Bashar Assad.  What is Assad’s grave crime?  Allegedly, forces under his command employed chemical nerve agent(s) against some number of civilians, estimated by the media in the range of 1,400.  Meanwhile, in the last two years, under the horrors of civil war, nearly 100,000 people have perished.  The calculation in use by Washington DC is that because Assad is alleged to have crossed this “red line,” employing these weapons of mass destruction, he must be punished(and ejected or killed) while they deny being after regime change.

Civilian death is horrible, but it is also an ugly and sometimes unavoidable reality of war.  The US has bombed civilians into oblivion in every war since the advent of the airplane. We excused those deaths as unavoidable  “collateral damage.” I don’t believe the method much matters.  This is another instance of Washington DC imposing its morality on the rest of us.  In 1994 Rawanda, when an estimated one-million Tutsi were murdered by the Hutus, nobody in Washington DC batted an eye.  You see, they weren’t slaughtered with chemical weapons, but in the main by Hutus wielding machetes.  Once again, the Washington DC establishment is more concerned with the weapon than the fact that people died.  More Americans will die prematurely as a result of Obama-care than have died in Syria as a result of chemical weapons.  Can we consider Congress and the President war criminals too?If chemical weapons are weapons of mass destruction, what then must we call Obama-care? It’s a legalized genocide machine, but nobody in the DC establishment seems the least bit perturbed by it.

For his part, President Obama has conducted his foreign policy like a lunatic.  Since he’s a looney-tunes leftist, this isn’t much of a surprise, but what has been more maddening is the voices of establishment Republicans rushing in to support him.  Most notable among these is that daft bugger with an anger-management issue from Arizona, who cannot wait to oust dictators in the Islamic world in order to replace them with even worse enemies of freedom in the form of al-Qaeda and its affiliate groups.  What sort of madman would demand a replacement of a known quantity of evil with a potentially more vast one?  John McCain believes apparently that any change is good change.

In fact, it seems as though McCain has been on a mission to sabotage the American people.  Some will cite his status as a war hero when excusing his bizarre policy positions in favor of illegal immigration, restrictions on the Second Amendment rights of Americans, as well as the First Amendment rights against which he legislated(McCain-Feingold.)  Frankly, it doesn’t much matter whether he’s incompetent or nefarious.  The fact is that his open support of this President’s anti-American agenda is all that one needs to know that something is wrong with McCain.  McCain was openly challenged by Arizonans at his town-hall meeting this week.  Every one of his detractors appeared more sensible than did the Senator.  While some think he’s senile, I think it’s worse than a touch of dementia.

The fact is that John McCain has joined the DC establishment-class at least a decade-and-one-half ago, as he sought the GOP nomination for President in 2000.  His treatment of the American people is driven by apparent disdain, and his contempt for plain old American values is shocking.  Why would he impel our country to intervene on behalf of rebels who are linked to the people who attacked us throughout the 1990s and particularly on 9/11/2001?  There are plenty of conspiracy theories, naturally, but whatever his reasons, they simply don’t add up in the manner he’s pitching them.  Of course, it’s more than John McCain.

The entire DC establishment wants this war.  As our economy careens toward a cliff, and as Washington DC inflates our money while preparing to stiff us on amnesty/illegal immigration and the funding of the WMD known as Obama-care, they want us watching Syria.  After all, if people in a town-hall are clobbering McCain over Syria, they’re not clobbering him over immigration or Obama-care.  I’m not suggesting that Syria is entirely a distraction, except that as creatures of opportunity, the establishment doesn’t mind using it that way.  Once again, however, the people who run this country are pushing an agenda the American people largely oppose.  Obama-care, amnesty, and military action in Syria are all things to which the citizens of this nation currently stand opposed.

It is for this reason that Iran and its nuclear weapons have now resurfaced as an issue linked to Syrian action.  Meanwhile, the people in Washington continue to angle for the creation of a vast new caliphate spanning the Islamic world, and they’re willing to use US forces as the mercenaries in that pursuit, as the Saudis and others offer to pay for the costs of removing Assad.  It’s become so bizarre that McCain claimed “Allahu Akbar” means “thank God.” Literally translated as the battle-cry it has been, it means “Allah is greater[than your God.]”  For those who have bought the misplaced notion that Islam worships the same god as Christians and Jews, this might pass the sniff-test, but for those who have studied the matter, McCain’s comment reeks of a naiveté or blatant dishonesty, either of which represents a clear and present danger to our country.

We have no business in Syria, never mind assisting the radical elements there.  1,400 civilians have been killed allegedly by chemical weapons, allegedly employed by Assad, but the American people have seen no evidence.  Instead, the DC establishment chatters about “intelligence briefings” as if the same people who didn’t prevent 9/11 are some sort of omniscient Oracle that knows, or that having seen such alleged intelligence, we, the American people ought simply to believe them, and accept it without further discussion.  Honestly, we’ve been here before.

While Washington DC prepares for war against Assad, we should remain mindful that the government is largely in a war against us.  No longer interested in serving the interests of the American people, and no longer bothered by that fact being obvious, they intend to have their war whatever we may think about it. Just like Obama-care, and exactly like amnesty.  It’s all part of one war: Washington DC against us.

Note to Obama: America Hasn’t Fallen Short – You Have

Blaming America First

This President possesses a peculiar penchant for knocking his own country and countrymen.  In his statement during a joint press conference with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, he explained how America had fallen short of its ideals in Afghanistan, but I wonder about the meaning and the relevance of this claim.  After all, who has been at the helm of American efforts in Afghanistan (or anywhere else) these last four year?  The other problem with his statement is that he references ideals.  I have serious doubts that he’s acquainted with the ideals of America, as evidenced by his repeated attacks on liberty.  No, when he says America has “fallen short,” what he means is that you and I have fallen short, or that our troops have fallen short, but the punishing truth is that the only manner in which the American people may have fallen short had been in missing the opportunity to eject him from office.  To the degree America may have failed in its engagements anywhere around the globe, the truth is quite easy to observe:  Mr. Obama, America has not fallen short.  You have!

To suggest that our oft-deployed troops who spend more time in foreign pest-holes than they do at home have in any measure failed is to ignore both the scale of their mission and the limitations placed upon them by their Commander-in-Chief.  In Afghanistan particularly, our troops are saddled with the grim task of pacifying a region that is inherently unsuited to that end, while looking nervously over their shoulders to see if our alleged ‘friends’ and ‘allies’ in the Afghan Army will open fire on them from behind.  The Chain of Command has created rules of engagement that are so patently absurd that our soldiers must now fear both to follow them or not follow them, because to follow them can be a suicidal act, and to not follow them can result in punitive legal action against them.

Of course, before we descend even to the nuts-and-bolts of a particular policy, we must examine what Mr. Obama considers the “ideal.”  For most Americans, the ideal in Afghanistan is to exterminate the terrorists, and to gain victory by totally annihilating the people who together with al Qaeda fashioned the capacity to attack the United States on 9/11, and in other places and times.  That’s the American ideal.  Obama’s ideal in Afghanistan is something else altogether, and it’s patently clear that it’s an end never to be achieved:  To make peace with an intractable enemy whose only wish and desire is to kill us, even if they must strap bombs on their own children to do so.  Obama’s notion of the ideal is in conflict with what America is and has been all through its nearly two-and-one-half centuries long history, requiring America to volunteer as a sacrificial lamb for those who want to kill it anyway.

To make friends of enemies that hate you is an impossibility.  We did not seek to make friends of the Germans or the Italians or Japanese in WWII.  Only after pounding them into complete submission did we seek to make peace, but even then, we did not make peace with those who had been conducting the ideology driving the conflict on their side.  We merely asserted that they would now be in full compliance with our will, or we would pummel them into dust, resuming the combat against them.  This is the American ideal of how a war is to be conducted, because the American ideal recognizes the sad realities of war, and the sickening aggregation of human frailties that leads inevitably to them.

Mr. Obama does not adopt the American ideal for war-making, or near as this writer can discern, much of anything else.  If America has fallen short of his ideals, that may be just as well because his ideals are not attainable on this Earth.  His ideals lead to the construction of walls, and the building of gulags, and to the unemployment and welfare lines.  His ideals end with an unarmed citizenry unable to oppose a growing, oppressive state.  Those will be your choices if you are to be governed by the ideals of Mr. Obama and his henchmen.  It is not possible to attain the Utopia he has imagined in his narrow mind, but he doesn’t care how great will be the human carnage left in his wake because he sees those things as “bumps in the road,” much as Mayor Bloomberg now suggests that if his new pain medication regulations in New York cause some unnecessary pain to patients, they must simply suck it up.

Imagine living your entire life dominated by these people, who disregard the torments they inflict on your lives with a shrug.  Given a chance, that will be the nature of our existence, but for our soldiers toiling away in kill-zones like Afghanistan, this is already the case.  There, Obama’s ideals have obtained the condition to which we might all look forward under the next four years of his so-called “leadership.”  There is death everywhere, and behind every corner lurks another killer who is sheltered by rules of engagement that permit him to slip away again, unharmed, and free to work his terror against you.  Famine and human need are monumental, but no amount of distributing goods and services can satisfy the want.  Afghanistan is a grim disaster in human terms, on all sides of the battle, and all is being directed and managed from the office of the “idealist” at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, in Washington DC.

For the President of the United States to stand before the world and proclaim that America has “fallen short” of ideals that he has constructed within the narrow confines of his skull is not to impeach America, but instead to admit that his own ideals are unattainable on this Earth.  Our soldiers have not failed this President, but he has failed them, and awfully so.  Soon, this same despotic mind will tell us, the American people, how we have failed to live up to the twisted ideals with which he has been inculcated and indoctrinated by such thoroughly bent minds as those of Bill Ayers and Frank Marshall Davis. The truth is that on our current course, America will soon resemble Afghanistan in both imitation and mockery of Obama’s bloody “ideal.”

The American people are as fallible as any other, but it takes a peculiarly wretched mind to lead us to the disasters we now endure both at home and abroad.  In this moment, and in this speech lies a grave confession for all those with the courage to recognize it: Barack Obama has established a bizarre and twisted ideal that is unattainable, but he now blames America for failing to reach it.  You see, in his view, the ideal is wonderful, but it is only your human failings that prevent you from meeting the challenge.  As a narcissist, in his view, there is nothing wrong with the ideal to which he adheres, but only with you (and America) for failing to approach it.  In his view, it is you who fail to perfect yourselves, but not his failure for expecting compliance with an ideal that would require you to drink his preferred flavor of the same deadly koolaid.  This false attribution of guilt is the hallmark of statists, seeking always to blame their victims for the vast failures they have initiated.  The truth is something else, and it’s simply this:  Barack Obama’s vision has fallen short of America’s ideals, and the sooner we re-establish them, the sooner our long national nightmare will come to an end, because unlike his, they are attainable on this Earth.

It’s not America, Mr. Obama.  It’s you.

Fighting on the Ice…

Wednesday, November 7th, 2012

Nearly one-hundred-fifty years ago, in central West Virginia, William “Mudwall” Jackson(cousin of famous “Stonewall” Jackson) advanced on the improvised “fort” at Bulltown. He intended to capture it, and during the fight, more than twelve hours, he twice sent surrender demands under a flag of truce to the Union garrison commander, Captain William Mattingly.  Mattingly reportedly replied:

“I will fight until Hell freezes over and then fight on the ice”.

Mattingly and his men escaped and fled, but it was a tough road out of hell.

Barack Obama is having his victory speech, and he’s trying to sound magnanimous.  It’s fake.  He’s fake.  I’m not interested in his notions of unity.  He doesn’t want unity.  He wants to dominate.  I’m not interested in unity at the price of freedom.

That’s my message to Barack Obama, and to all of those who will be gleeful at his re-election.  We’re on the ice now, and with Hell frozen over, there’s nothing better to do, and nothing that needs more doing. I am going to fight you.  My message to conservatives is simple: Don’t yield, don’t surrender, and don’t give any damned ground to these ruthless, cheating Marxists.  Of course, this fight is just beginning, and there’s going to be some fighting in the conservative movement, and that starts now.  Right now.  To every conservative, I urge you to watch closely who you choose for your candidates in the future.  I wasn’t a Romney fan, but I did the only rational thing remaining and voted for him.  I don’t regret that decision, but I have already noticed some glee on the part of some who wouldn’t stand and do the same.  That’s fine, and you’ll have your day in the court of conservative opinion, but let me suggest to my conservative brethren that what you are about to witness is going to shock your senses and drive you to the brink.

We have people in the Republican establishment who have conspired to obtain this result.  They will undoubtedly continue to conspire against us.  First, they shove a moderately palatable candidate down conservatives’ throats.  Next, they hand-cuff us and him with the same old mush that has landed us in this quagmire.  Rather than aggressively campaign, he played it safe. On August 3rd, I wrote, in part:

“Romney is being careful, to the extent that he has begun to run what looks like an NFL “prevent defense,” intended to prevent any game-changing mistakes late in the game, but almost invariably leading to defeat by an accumulation of a series of lesser mistakes, any of which would be insignificant on their own, but that in the aggregate prove lethal.”

Ladies and gentlemen, isn’t this precisely what has happened?  When Chris Christie hugged Barack Obama in the wake of Sandy, wasn’t this an unaccounted circumstance that threw a monkey-wrench in the “prevent defense” plan?  How did Romney react?  He did nothing.  He continued to carefully plod along with no mention of Benghazi, no refutations of Obama’s shrill diatribe, apart from his line about “revenge.”

To be sure, there were several saboteurs, and you can bet that come 2016, we’ll see a couple throw their hats in the ring. The New Jersey Windbag will likely be one of them, or he’ll be somebody’s pick for VP.  Somebody from Florida, I’m betting.  Meanwhile, the best and the brightest conservatives in our party have been mocked and disparaged.  America  is likely to be on its knees before the passage of another four years, and if so, we must admit that a positive conservative message on all fronts must carry the day going forward.  We cannot win with mushy moderates.  Even if at this late hour, or in the days to come, Mitt Romney’s count is somehow found to make him the winner, it will be in court until time stops.  Can you imagine the infamy of it when it turns out that just like the illegitimate Senator from Minnesota, who holds his seat solely on the basis of fraud, Barack Obama turns out to have done the same?

No, our strategy must be a simple one from now until 2016:  We must rebuild conservatism even if it means walking away from the Republican party, and we must fight a stalling delaying action with everything we’ve got.  They own the media, the bureaucracy, the education, the executive branch, the Senate, and the judiciary.  We’ve got John Boehner. Don’t tell me we’re losing the country.  We’ve already lost it.  Now it’s time to take it back, if we can.

There’s nothing worse than knowing what’s coming, except perhaps for the poor fools who will be taken by surprise.  This country will not survive in this form.  This blog certainly won’t.  There may be a day in the not-distant future when I will be forced to suspend this blog for purely economic reasons.  By then, I’ll probably be eating horse, rather than raising them. That’s fine. When that day comes, I’ll do what I must, but every day from now until then, I am going to fight the statists and their miserable claim to the production of others who they would enslave to their service.  I am not interested in getting along. I am not interested in any more moderation. My message for the left? Andrew Breitbart said it best:

The “Religion of Peace” on Global Rampage

Friday, September 14th, 2012

Building up to what?

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a serious issue, and for all of those who say it’s wrong to condemn a whole religion for the actions of a few, I may hear that argument but its weight is diminishing as the entire globe lights with the fires of violent Jihadi protests.  There’s no more disguising it:  The radical global Jihadi front is on the march, and it includes elements of the Muslim Brotherhood, but it also includes elements of Hamas, al Qaeda, and various other groups around the globe.  In London, our embassy is seeing increasingly violent protests.  In Berlin, the same thing is true.  Let me explain what is happening:  They are using the fraudulent claim of a Youtube video as the grounds for what they’re doing, but that’s not what those driving this have in mind.  They wish to drive the US out of the Middle East, and ultimately, out of Europe, and they’re gambling that weak-kneed Europeans will be glad to comply, since they have a long history of capitulating to the Islamists who have gained increasing influence in their countries due to liberal immigration policies and ridiculous welfare programs.

They have their toe-holds in Europe, and it is now their intention to begin to take it all over.  They’re not quite strong enough to do so, but what they have in mind is to create enough chaos in Europe and the US that we will withdraw entirely from the Middle East.  It’s an attempt to isolate Israel, but also the United States.

Now we have an evacuation at the University of Texas in Austin due to a caller claiming to be a member of al-Qaeda, and word has now arrived that the State University of North Dakota at Fargo is evacuating over similar bomb threats. Also, Valparaiso University is being evacuated for unspecified threats.

This is a day of rampage for the “Religion of Peace.”  This is at least partly the result of a foreign policy directed by an affirmative action Nobel Prize recipient.  America is under attack.  The West is under attack.  It is only a matter of time until Israel comes under ferocious attack.  What is President Obama doing about it?

Nothing.

Barack Obama isn’t merely a failed President.  He’s failed as an American.

Politics Is the Continuation of War Through Words

Sunday, July 22nd, 2012

Hold Onto Our Position?

War is a state of conflict existing between persons, parties, nations, or the alliances made up of any of these.  The object of war is to dominate one’s enemy, and to impose one’s will over them, even if one’s will is nothing more complicated than naked destruction.  Carl von Clausewitz observed that “war is not merely an act of policy but a true political instrument, a continuation of political intercourse carried on with other means. What remains peculiar to war is simply the peculiar nature of its means.”  That being the case, it must also be true to say that politics is the means by which the hostilities of open war are concealed behind words.  If all is fair in love and war, it is likewise fair in politics, and considering the radical left, at war with America for more than a century, we conservatives ought to expect that there is no scheme or connivance that exceeds their capacity for ruthlessness.  In stark contrast, while they know they’re at war, many of  us have innocently believed it was “just politics,”  as though the object of politics had been something less destructive. History has shown us that politics is merely the extension of war, a pretty face painted on Death, and we ought to recognize its true nature.

Some won’t understand how “mere politics” can be the other side of the same philosophical coin as war.  Let us refrain from the mincing of words:  Politics is the means by which some people are coerced to obey the will of others.  Slavery was a legal institution, created in politics, and backed-up by force.  You might find that Obama-care is immoral, as do I, but in order to enforce it upon us, the government has claimed the authority to compel us to participation.  When I say “compel,” I mean quite literally “force.”  If you refuse, they will use the legal system to pursue you, and if you refuse to submit and surrender, they will ultimately kill you.  Yes, I said “kill.” Have you any illusions about it?  Do you not see that this is ultimately all government has in order to impose its dicta?

The more virulently oppressive government becomes, the more commonplace the use of coercion and force becomes.  In a civilized state, the use of force is limited only to use against those who have committed wrongs, or crimes against other individuals.  It is not used as an aggressive tool by which to compel others to servitude.  This had been the essence of America in its earliest decades, and in those times, the left did not exist as such, and certainly did not have access to the reins of power, and yet their forerunners set up loopholes through which they would later slither.  Make no mistake: The force of government is no longer an instrument of defense of the American people, but is instead the weapon of brutal invaders who use laws written against us, and for their protection.  The statists of the left have captured the law, and it is the great continuation of their war against us.

People have been stunned at the rapidity with which the left and its media mouthpieces began to blame Rush Limbaugh, or the Tea Party for the shooting overnight in a theater in Aurora, Colorado.  We have seen this before: It is the immediate reaction of every leftist on the planet who has access to the media in the aftermath of any human tragedy.  This is another form their war takes.  Their hope is to create an impression as a matter of propagandizing the audience.  Brian Ross likely knew there had been a low probability of a connection between the 24-year-old shooter and the Tea Party, and he knew he would be forced to issue some form of apology, but he also knew the apology would be swept onto some obscure page on ABC’s website, long after the people who heard his earlier remarks had long gone. “Mission Accomplished!”  The object of his “reporting” was the smear aimed at the Tea Party, so when a fifty-something man from Aurora Colorado heard himself being identified as the shooter, he understandably responded by disconnecting his phone to protect his own life and family.  Let us hope that he retains a legal shark who will eat ABC News and Brian Ross for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but even if he does, he will face a law that will offer Brian Ross et al protection, while obstructing his pursuit of justice.

You might think that Ross had merely been anxious to scoop the story on the gunman’s identity, but while I am certain there was some element of journalistic competitiveness driving the erroneous and premature identification, the truth is that his methodology was to immediately begin surfing the Internet looking for a James or Jim Holmes related to Tea Party groups in Aurora Colorado.  He found one, and when he did, he ran with it, because he saw it not only as an opportunity to get the “scoop,” but also as an opportunity to score a propaganda coup against his political opponents.  What Brian Ross did was to make the innocent Jim Holmes the victim of political profiling and media malpractice.  Since the left is at war with America, however, the innocent fifty-eight year-old man will be considered by Brian Ross, George Stephanopolous, and ABC News as mere collateral damage.  Besides, he is a Tea Party guy, so to Hell with him.  Whether there is a lawsuit, it is irrelevant to the media personalities involved: They’re at war, and in war, sometimes there will be mistaken targets, but if those mistaken targets are aligned with one’s enemies, so much the better.

This is how the left functions at all times, and they are shamelessly convinced that they must carry out the war against America without mercy.  For the moment, that war is mostly one of political rhetoric and subterfuge, but conservatives should understand that their objective is no different than that of actual combat.  They exist to compel and coerce you to their ends, and ultimately, if they cannot convince you to voluntarily submit, they will revert to open warfare.  This is the meaning of the Occupy Wall Street movement.  The Occupiers comprises one part of the intended army of dupes to carry out the violence if need be, even as a justification for governmental force.

Statists are not without values, although they vary dramatically from yours.  Their  love complies with their values quite consistently, and it is this continual devotion to purpose that drives them forward and has allowed them to win, more or less, throughout most of the last century.  Even when we have won the occasional temporary victory over them, they still managed to advance the ball somewhere, somehow, in some issue upon which we had surrendered.  The conservative movement has been winning a lot of battles, but it’s been losing the wider war. The institutional left has been at war with America since the late 1800s, whether or not Americans at large recognized it as such. While we’ve been trying to maintain some sort of polite debating society, the left has been planning how to undermine our constitution, the republic it had established, and the culture of independence that had made it possible.

I am going to convey something that will likely be rewarded with scorn from some quarters, but I believe that out of respect for simple, plain-spoken truth, it must be said:  Due to their shocking similarities, as a result of the basic, underlying roots of their system of morality, the institutional left has become the ostensibly secular equivalent of the Muslim Brotherhood, or al Qaeda.  You might think I’ve gone a bit daft, but I assure you that the comparison is valid in all ways.  You might insist that they’re  not strapping bombs to their chests, and running into crowds of infidels to their cause, but I assure you, this is only because at present, they are winning, slowly, but steadily.  When Brian Ross presented the preliminary results of his “investigation” into James or Jim Holmes, he did so knowing that his information was weak, and he knew it could be damaging and destructive, but so intent upon “scoring” a victory against his political foes was he, that he strapped on the story and charged onto your television screen in order to detonate his propaganda bomb.  Would he face sanctions?  Probably not, but even if so, he’d be picked up by MSNBC or some other leftist outlet that is more concerned with his commitment to the cause than with his journalistic integrity.

This is the form of the war at present, but I am warning you to pay attention because it may not always be restrained to our current political warfare, and if the coin flips, you will quickly learn how committed this cabal of leftist true believers is to dominate you, and how willing to rule you by naked force they are once you scrape away the veneer of their words.  Do not be deceived:  We already have all the evidence necessary to convict this group of radicals as charged, only they own the courts, the law, and the power to enforce it.

The left loves power, and specifically, the power over life and death of others, but since they cannot create life, and instead can only steal it, they are consumed by the instrumentalities of death.  War is death’s greatest implement, and what you had ought to recognize is that there can be no middle ground in this war.  Bystanders and fence-sitters are every bit as apt to be destroyed as the participants.  They pursue their objective relentlessly, and it is this consistency of effort that affords them long-term victories.

Consider it in another way, if you please:  As conservatives, by and large, we are a people satisfied to live our lives by our own efforts and on our own merits, come what may.  Ours is not the philosophy of coercing the innocent – people who had done no wrong – but instead the philosophy of rejecting coercion as the basis for human relations in a civilized society.  Conservatives expect that amongst honest men, there may be competition without conflict in its basest form.  Ours is a philosophy that generally avoids imposing coercion on others as a tool of exchange.  We believe in volitional exchange from mutual strengths to mutual advantage.  This is why capitalism can succeed at all, and what conservatives generally expect is that one should be left alone to his own devices so long as he is not outwardly harming others.  Not quite libertarian, but close cousins to be sure, conservatives are generally willing to prohibit some actions they believe destructive of the civil society. In the main, conservatives wish to be left alone, unimpeded by the capricious desires of others, whether directly or through governments.  Conservatives do not seek, in principle, to make gains by force that they could not make by the voluntary exchange with others.

The left does not admit of any restraint upon their claim to coerce others.  In their view, coercion and force are merely tools used to get their way, and they use them aggressively.  Leftists must always attack, because they seek to make gains from their coercion.  The reason for this dramatic difference is implicit in the nature of the sort of person who is conservative, or “liberal.”  Conservatives are willing to rely upon volitional exchange, because in point of fact, they most frequently have plenty to offer, and are willing to create the material value necessary for said commerce.  In stark contrast, the left is not satisfied to rely upon volitional exchange, because with respect to their fellow man, they create nothing of value. If one has nothing to offer in exchange for things of value rightfully possessed by others, one has but a single alternative:  Expropriation, and naked theft, with coercion as one’s means of exchange.

Leftists believe no weapon is superior to the possession of the largest and/or most ruthless mob.  They are willing to substitute a club or a gun for a syllogism at the first evidence that logic and reason will fail them, and there is no rationale that exceeds in quality their estimation of the primitive consideration that condenses at long last to: “I want it.”  They are takers by profession, and they will take with a gun in one hand, a smile firmly affixed to their faces, all on the basis of the premise that “might makes right.”  These are the modern cavemen who would club their mates into submission, dragging them to the cave, not interested in wooing but merely in dominating others to achieve their ends.

Those who fail to recognize this deadly basis for the century-long war the left has waged on America do so at the predictable expense of their own values.  The left struggled one-hundred years at least to seize control of the law, knowing that you would obey each new dictum without much resistance, because you innocently believed that this would be enough.  Now, fully a century after the attack was first launched, you’ve begun to notice that their demands never end, and that there is no compromise you may make that will finally satisfy their claims.  It is the perpetual motion machine of goal-lines: No matter what you surrender, and irrespective to what degree you may have already folded, they have not had their fill, because, as they predict on the basis of your past retreats, you can be prodded into yet another.

In 1994, when Hillary-care went bust with the American people, they did not cease.  Before a decade would elapse, they had an allegedly conservative President enacting their programs in small segments.  By the time Barack Obama signed his Affordable Care Act into law, much of the worst of socialized medicine already existed in fact.  This was merely the act in completion of a strategy stretched across a century of warfare.  They do no yield, and they will not surrender.  There is no time in which you can expect them to simply give up as defeated and go away with their horrid ideas, no matter how many times you may tell them “no.”

What they have succeeded most of all in doing is to convince you that you will always ultimately lose, because over the long march of time, you have innocently moved from battlefield to battlefield, never noticing that these are not isolated attacks, but the full collaboration of a war waged against you on all front.  You may rush to the defense of one battlement, or to the strengthening of another flank, but they continue their war always and relentlessly.  At the rank-and-file level, they don’t know or care that they’re each part of a coordinated attack.  Some of them even believe foolishly that they are in defense of the citadel of liberty, on all fronts but perhaps some one exceptional issue they care not to defend, and against which they may even join in the attack.

The war is real, and victory will go only to those who had recognized it as such.  With the 1993 WTC bombings, we should have known.  With the embassy bombings in 1998, and the attack on the USS Cole, we should have realized this was a wider war.  It shouldn’t have taken the attacks of 9/11 to wake us to this reality.  In the same way, we should have known when the 16th Amendment was ratified, that this would be the opening salvo.  When the New Deal came along, we should have noticed that it was a war against us all, and by the time the Great Society was proposed, the American people should have rejected it all, but we did not.  Instead, we have come to accept those programs as a baseline of our existence, when we should have battled to cast them off, but weary from each engagement, defeated and demoralized, we instead took up a position in an attempt to hold the line.  We have never succeeded because we have never recognized it as a war.  We never charged the enemy, but always clung instead to a wilting defense.

If we are to win this war, we must recognize it as such, first and foremost, but rather than try to defend walls that have been breached already, it is time that we must consider a bold counter-offensive.  The enemy(I do not use this term lightly) is already rallying for another attempt against our Second Amendment in the wake of the Aurora Colorado shooting.  They take no days off, and no days at ease, and have begun already to advance legislation and regulation they’ve kept in their arsenal for decades.  Rather than trying to stave off another attack on the 2nd Amendment by claiming your right to bear arms, about which they do not care, and that will not slow them, we must launch a counteroffensive.  We must push for the wider extension of gun rights.  Now. We must claim the moral high ground by championing the self-efficacy of arms possessed by the law-abiding in their self-defense. Rather than letting them seize the moment, as they will, we must seize it first.

Another great warrior admonished us:

“I don’t want to get any messages saying that we are holding our position. We’re not holding anything, we’ll let the Hun do that. We are advancing constantly, and we’re not interested in holding onto anything except the enemy. We’re going to hold onto him by the nose, and we’re going to kick him in the ass. We’re going to kick the hell out of him all the time, and we’re going to go through him like crap through a goose.” – George S Patton

If you wish to win the war against the statist left, you must know it as such. You must rise to fight it as such. You may not recognize it as a war, but your enemy does, and while you exchange thoughtful pleasantries, the enemy is scouting your flanks. It’s time to realize that their words are weapons of war, and we are under attack.

” All right now, you sons of bitches, you know how I feel. I will be proud to lead you wonderful guys into battle anytime, anywhere. That’s all.” – George S Patton

Obama Sabotages Israelis: Can They Remain Our Ally?

Iranian Nuclear Sites

The most thoroughly disturbing story to appear last week was the information suggesting that the Obama administration is actively undermining Israel in its preparations to strike Iran, and disclosing its plans to the press in order to prevent them from being carried out.  This story appeared in YNet News on Thursday, and it offers details about what’s at stake, but more, the treachery of the Obama administration in seeking to undermine our ally Israel in its preparations to make strikes against nuclear facilities in Iran.  Apart from the fact that this is a serious leak that should result in firings, the problem is that this may be official US policy behind the scenes. My question is this:  If these leaks didn’t have the official sanction of the President, what is he doing to identify the leakers?

The information leaked suggests that Israel has formed some sort of alliance with Iran’s neighbor to the North, Azerbaijan.  The basic idea contained in the leaks is that Israel would launch strikes from airbases in that country, flying across the Caspian Sea in low-level sorties designed to fly under radar coverage.  The serious problem lies in the fact that all of this information has done serious damage to Israel, and even to the United States, as the article details in this summary of the damage inflicted:

  • Iran now has a decent picture of what Israel’s and America’s intelligence communities know about Tehran’s nuclear program and defense establishment, including its aerial defenses.
  • The Iranians now know about the indications that would be perceived by Washington and Jerusalem as a “nuclear breakthrough”. Hence, Iran can do a better job of concealment.
  • The reports make it more difficult to utilize certain operational options. These options, even if not considered thus far, could have been used by the US in the future, should Iran not thwart them via diplomatic and military means.

As you can well imagine, these leaks have created a serious problem for Israel, and it effectively takes this range of strike options off the table.  With the Obama administration undertaking such a program of intentional leaks, it’s hard to imagine relations could grow much cooler between the US and Israel.  One of the problems I foresee in this instance is wondering what happens when Israel, that increasingly views Iran as a potential existential threat to its people, comes to see us as taking on the role of effectively aiding that threat.

These are dangerous times, and the United States has a president who seems intent upon making them more volatile.  By making such information known to the press, it is likely to act to prevent an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear sites, but the problem is that Iran may be making serious strides in the development of nuclear weapons.  So armed, they would pose a serious threat to the existence of Israel, particularly since they have a leader who has promised repeatedly to immolate Israel and her people.

If this administration is serious, what it will do is investigate the leaks and bring the sources to justice because these are classified documents and assessments, and any who have access to such material ought to be limited strictly, thus making it easier to discern who is doing all the leaking.  Failing even to attempt to identify the sources of the leaks is as good as an endorsement of them, and what that suggests about this administration is too terrible to contemplate.

The original story broke in Foreign Policy Magazine, and former Ambassador John Bolton was among those who responded with severe criticism of the Obama administration.  One unnamed intelligence officer quoted in the article said:

“We’re watching what Iran does closely,” one of the U.S. sources, an intelligence officer engaged in assessing the ramifications of a prospective Israeli attack confirmed. “But we’re now watching what Israel is doing in Azerbaijan. And we’re not happy about it.”

To have American officials of any description making such remarks to the press is abominable, but to see that the Obama administration is doing nothing about it gives the appearance of official sanction. This makes one wonder what the Obama administration’s actual policy is toward Israel.  Whatever you may choose to call it, it doesn’t seem to fit the term “ally.”

Marines Disarmed for Panetta Visit: Why?

Panetta Addresses Troops

On Wednesday, the story came out that Marines in Afghanistan had been disarmed for the visit of Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta.  Many were puzzled or disgusted over this, for the implications about which it speaks volumes.  If the Secretary of Defense is that worried about our own troops, perhaps he should not be serving in that post.  Of course, I have a feeling I understand the real reason for this policy, and it may not be about our troops, or at least not all of them.  Could it be that Secretary Panetta doesn’t want to be scored as another victim of military “workplace violence,” should another Muslim soldier angry about recent events try to act out his or her anger? I offer this only half in jest, because the behavior of leadership in this case is perplexing. I don’t understand why the Marines were treated in this way, and it can hardly inspire confidence in our service-members if they are led to doubt whether they have the full trust of the chain of command.

As we know, the Obama administration has done its best to sweep Army Major Nidal Hasan’s act under the carpet by labeling it as “workplace violence” rather than as an act of terrorism, despite all of the evidence demonstrating the link between Hasan and militant Muslim extremists.  I was astonished to learn about the details of Panetta’s visit, and that our own Marines were disarmed allegedly because our Afghan allies who were in attendance were likewise disarmed.  As an Army veteran myself, I could see why the security details of dignitaries might have some concern, particularly in the aftermath of the incident last weekend with the soldier who went on a shooting rampage, killing sixteen Afghan civilians, but I also know that was an aberration and says nothing about the entire force.

Still, I find it incredible that the Secretary of Defense would take this view of his own military.  I wonder if he was worried about another act of “workplace violence.”  After all, isn’t that what the Obama administration calls it?  When a lone attacker plowed through a fence and into a ditch at the airbase where Panetta was about to arrive, I would have classified it as an act of terrorism, but with Panetta being part of the military hierarchy, wouldn’t this merely be classified by the Obama administration as another act of “workplace violence?”

I wonder if the Obama administration knows how much contempt it has wrought by that classification.  This sort of thing has ramifications not only for soldiers in the field, but the whole force structure’s confidence in the chain of command.  Perhaps that is part of the trouble here:  Being near a large military base, I’ve heard an unusual number of grumbles about the chain of command and its general temperament with respect to the military.   That’s never a healthy proposition for the military, and I know the lower end of the chain of command struggles to tamp down that sort of thing.  Still, I’m certain the Obama administration is conscious of the growing displeasure from some wider body of the military.  The budget cuts, the ridiculous rules of engagement, and all the over-tasking our service-members now endure are adding to the strain.

I wonder if this was the idea of Panetta, or his own staff, or whether it was the product of an abundance of caution on the part of local commanders.  Either way, it signifies a break-down in the long-established and traditional notion of trust between civilian leadership and the uniformed services, and I find it atrocious on all counts.  I remember being visited in the field as a young soldier by dignitaries including the Secretary of the Army, John Marsh, under Ronald Reagan, and we didn’t put our weapons away.  Of course, that was a different environment, or under different global conditions, but it was also a far different chain of command that viewed its fighting men and women with reverence.  Unless they had real and specific concerns, this will only serve to have widened the gulf in confidence between civilian leadership and our military, and that is never a happy development for the United States, or its Armed Services.

What Hillary Revealed About Democrats’ Real Thoughts on Israel

Friend of Israel?

When America isn’t watching closely, or the event in question appears well away from the bulk of domestic media, occasionally one of the left’s officials will slip up and show their true face.  If you listen to what Democrats in Congress and in the Obama administration say about Israel, you would think they support Israel, and are fine friends of the Jewish state.  The lavish oaths of friendship upon Israel, and swear they have no bigger supporter than the Democrat Party.  That is, if you can believe them.  Ordinarily, it’s tough to prove, but in this case, one of their own has put her big foot in her mouth, all without the help of her slick former-President husband.  None other than Secretary of State Hillary Rodham-Clinton has made a statement that reveals the truth about her party.  Watch this short video:

[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BpYSGfg9oU]

That’s right.  In this video, when asked by somebody in the audience about the state of politics in the US, and how it is that any Muslims from around the world could trust either party, since both seem to support their enemy, Israel, Mrs. Clinton gives a stunningly honest answer.  For those Americans of any persuasion who had thought the Democrats a friend of Israel, I want you to decipher her answer, because it was clearly intended to intimate a dark secret, and that is that what politicians say in public is one thing, but what they believe may be something else entirely.

Surely you understand that this confirms what I have told you about how the radical left has taken over the Democrat party, and how they now practice an institutional antisemitism that blows kisses to Jews in public, while undercutting Israel ferociously in private.  They view Israel as a problem to be dealt with, and if you’re wise, you’ll realize that historically, this is far from the first time the Jews have been regarded as a “problem” to be solved.  Let’s not beat around the bush about it:  The left hates Israel, and it’s partly because they see a potential ally in the Muslim world, and partly because they view Israel as the obstacle to that alliance.

Just as in the Cold War, Teddy Kennedy was willing to participate in secret talks with Soviet leaders in order to undercut President Reagan, the left will makes it friends anywhere they believe will advance their agenda.  Currently, they look to the Islamic world as another source of support, which is why they have linked up with militant Islamists in some cases, in the furtherance of the so-called “Arab Spring,” but also in support of the so-called “Palestineans.”  What Secretary Clinton describes in her too-candid answer is the mechanism of carrying out a ruse. In public, they must continue to support Israel, for now, but in terms of our actual foreign policy, we are currently very much pro-Islam.

The hardcore left has been pushing in this direction for many years, decades in fact, and what you quickly realize is that they have merely transformed their animosity.  These same America-hating leftists have simply identified Israel as a domino that must fall in order to finally vanquish America.  Once they realized this, it was only a matter of time until they began to form strategic alliances with a militant Islam that views Israel as the Lesser Satan and America as the Great one.  I read an interesting posting on Tammy Bruce’s site by a guest contributor named Shifra, self-described as a Jew who discovered the universe of leftists’ rage against Israel.

While I’m not Jewish, it comports well with my own knowledge and observations, but more importantly, it reveals how the American left has slowly adopted positions that are now not only antagonistic toward Israel, but hostile to Jewry in general.  For this reason, the only reason I am surprised about Hillary Clinton’s remark is that she would leave that implication hanging so publicly.  The institutional left, of which Hillary is the queen bee, with her Soros-funded career, and her Soros-funded boss, is armed to the teeth with a rage she dare not exhibit.  She can only make not-so-subtle intimations in public, but what is hidden behind the facial expression is the coldly-calculated leftist who knows what expressions in public are too much, and will hurt the cause.  Hillary walked all over that line here, but you should view it as an opportunity to demonstrate the point.

Iran Prepares for War

Monday, February 27th, 2012

I have been told that Iran is led by “rational actors,” but I see little evidence of it.  In order to acquire their own nuclear arsenal, they are making plans to disrupt the flow of oil through the Strait of Hormuz, and to carry out attacks on US air bases in the region in order to hold off the Americans who they are expecting will at some point attack them.  Meanwhile, they still seem to intend to strike Israel, and wipe them out, so it’s difficult to see them as rational. One could make the argument that they’re merely prepa for a US or Israeli strike, but the continued promise to wipe Israel from the face of the Earth is the most troubling thing of all.  If they do obtain nuclear weapons, Iran’s leaders may well be just irrational enough to use them.

According to the WND article, the Iranians are preparing to make attacks on US air assets.  Such a strike would be more likely than most Americans think to disrupt our ability to respond to threats in the region:

The Guards’ publication Mashregh, in a warning to America, revealed a detailed plan to attack U.S. bases in the region, including, in Kuwait, two air bases, Ali Al Salem and Ahmed Al Jaber, and the U.S. military camps of Buehring, Spearhead, Patriot and Arifjan. Also targeted are U.S. air bases in Afghanistan, the super U.S. base Al Adid in Qatar, its other super base at Al Dhafra in the United Arab Emirates and Thumrait Air Base in Oman.

Such an attack could certainly cause chaos, or worse, but it would almost certainly send the US scrambling, and it might open a window of opportunity for the Iranians to make good on their promise to close off the Straits of Hormuz, at least for a while.  That might be enough to hamper our logistical chain, making it difficult to carry on war-fighting operations.  At the same time, the Iranians have armed a number of small, fast boats with explosive warheads that would be delivered by ramming in suicide attacks:

The Guards have also armed hundreds of speed boats with high explosives for suicide attacks against U.S. Navy assets and the shipping traffic in the Gulf. Sources within the Guards also reveal that the Guards have been training pilots for suicide attacks against U.S. assets in the Gulf by using smaller planes loaded with explosives.

Rational?  I wouldn’t have considered the Japanese all that rational in 1944-45 as their young pilots rammed aircraft into our warships in Kamikaze attacks, yet this is the same sort of mindset we now face.  We’re in particularly bad shape, because just as this threat is rising, our military is undergoing vast cuts, and we have poor national leadership across the board.  Barack Obama has shown no willingness to take on the Iranians, but we know he’s capable of making apologies.  This president is so unwilling to defend America against its enemies that there really is no precedent in American history.  If Iran’s leadership decides it’s willing to wage a war in order to protect its nuclear weapons program, they may win.  If you think the Ayatollahs are irrational, what must we conclude about the man Rush Limbaugh has called “Imam Obama,” who now leads our country into a blind alley?  How rational is Obama?  For our country, the prospects are too frightening to consider.
